Hallelujah! Finally, a stainless-steel Swiss cook set. I've seen the price, if anyone complains tell them to go and TRY and FIND the ORIGINAL for that money. Really Dave you've got a winner there. Thanks a millions.
Now that's a nice pizza. If you add just enough salt to the tomato paste to kill the bitterness and then a little sugar to make it SLIGHTY sweet tasting, you will make one killer pizza sauce. I was told by an Italian pizza shop owner to never use any herbs other than basil and to use provolone cheese, He made one great pizza in his shop too. Dave, maybe you should write a cook book, filled with all of these great recipes, Call it "Dave's down and dirty camp cooking", well maybe not that. ;-)
So that's to say you can make a bigger pizza in the 8 inch skillet like you coked the perfect steak. As long as I use the inner rack it should work. I'm making one in my fire pit tomorrow! Thanks Dave!
My PFM40 just arrived today! And, I already have the rack from my bush pot kit have two alcohol stoves in route. The cooking adventure will soon begin!!! Thanks Dave!!! You ROCK, Brother!!! 😉
OMG! You've spilled my secret pizza sauce recipe! Been making my own pizza sauce for over 35 years with just tomato paste and Italian seasoning. Water thinning optional. Tastes good, stays where you put it, and it's dead simple to make.
I'm seeing a few ideas that would sell well with that m40 setup , to make more user friendly, make it friendly to other cooking vessels you have in your store . Wish I knew someone in my area that I could look, it over and do a few measurements on everything. Could draft up some patterns .
Man that's great, I gave my best friend one of those kits over 20 years ago, sadly we no longer speak but as far as I know he still uses it. Great peice of kit.
Honestly it will be a great kit as the originals always were, but you will make a far nicer pizza using the pathfinder skillet and lid like a dutch oven, been doing it for years and the end result is way nicer than this kit will ever achieve with an alcohol stove only heating from the bottom, put a load of coals on the lid of the skillet and a few underneath and it works perfectly.
That's great Dave! it turned out perfect. I really want to get one of those M40 cook kits, especially since the old Swedish ones are impossible to find anymore. That's great that you guys are making another stove too, to fit inside! Thanks for another great video.
I managed to grab a few Swedish Mess Kits (Complete) back in the mid 2000's when Sportman's Guide was dumping them for $10 each. It was a gamble, you might get a steel one, you might get an aluminum one. You might get a Trangia Stove, with fuel bottle, you might not. I lucked out and got at least one of each, all complete. The Steel one looks like it went back in time and did a few runs through the battle of Stalingrad. The Aluminum one is minty. D-Rings on the cup handle are a great feature. They let you fasten a long stick or branch on the handle (thread through the rings) so you can have an extended handle for hanging that bad boy over a fire to warm up stuff if needed. Talked to one former Swedish Army guy and he stated they called them "Pig Pots", or something along those lines. Something to do with them getting nasty during heavy field use.
That’s great Dave, thanks. Once you have the whole set up for sale I’ll be getting one, I’ve been trying to find a surplus stainless kit for a long time, came across a couple in some surplus places in Eastern Europe, but holy Moses it would have cost a fortune to ship here, and that was before the whole Ukraine situation. Can’t wait.
Disappointed you used a large mixing bowl; I was hoping to see how you make it just using just the M40. I also wonder why you don't sell the M40 with the cup and stove and a fuel bottle like they come originally? I guess doing this without a decent base camp table and gear is not worth the effort. Why make life more difficult than it already is for a pizza, right? I did like how you turned the M40 into an oven. The base looked a bit soft and doughy; would you leave it in longer next time? Cheers.
Hey Dave. Greetings from NSW Australia. Try putting the pepperoni on top of the cheese. I like my pepperoni crispy & the fat melts into everything. 👌 Mumma mia!
Swedish m/40 is made of stainless steel. m/44 is made of aluminum. The m/40 copy you made looks like the original, but when you weigh the copy, the weight differs from the original. What kind of stainless material is the replica made of? Can you specify the exact material type?
You know a man has spent a lot of time in the woods when he casually flicks a bug off his plate and keeps eating like nothing happened. Bugs and food just don't mix.
Number one you're eating Pizza with a fork, who does that? Oh Dave Canterbury does yeah. I remember when I was just a kid we used to buy ginger ale and it had a bite just like you just described and I sure miss that. The ginger ale these days doesn't have any kind of bite whatsoever it's not even ginger ale really it has a faint taste a ginger. Man that's a heck of a pizza especially that cheese. Thanks for the video Dave at least some of these younger kids might figure out how to make pizza through this video. Don't forget to keep the powder dry.
Hard to beat camp pizza, especially cooked over a wood fire. You get a 30 minute burn from that alcohol stove before refueling, or did you have to add more during the cook?
Why isn't there a link to the website to get the m40 cook set? And it would be nice to have the printed recipe so it could be screen shot and saved? Just saying. Using Heat for the fuel was a good tip. Thanks!
Omg..that looked good!!!!!! I love to watch this man eat!! I bought that kit awhile back...guess I need to try a pizza. I really want that kuksa but can't seem to find one
Hey Dave I already have an M40 Swedish kit. I would like to know what size rack you used in it. I see you have them for sale on your website I just don't know which size thank you.
Dave, I purchased a pathfinder brand alcohol stove, I used it once in 40 degree weather to boil water, it never boiled. my fuel was denatured alcohol from Home Depot. any suggestions to improve results?
I did not catch the mixing bowl part of the M40 kit ? wait you pay extra to get the stainless steel kit so you don't use aluminium ,then put it on aluminium foil ? got a field alfrado sauce recipe? I like pizza but not maranara ( spell?) . thinking of a blade cutting into aluminium sends chills down my spine ! good recipe vid !
Hallelujah! Finally, a stainless-steel Swiss cook set. I've seen the price, if anyone complains tell them to go and TRY and FIND the ORIGINAL for that money. Really Dave you've got a winner there. Thanks a millions.
If pathfinder is making a stainless m40 kit I might be looking at changing up what I already carry here soon, and I thought I already had it made lol.
my sergeant in the army never said anything about how to make pizza in it, thanks for the video 👍

Welcome back to another episode of Bushcraft Baking, I'm your host Chef Dave. Lol love it brother.
Pizza, Pizza!!! Cool video. Nice simple recipe. Thanks for sharing Dave.
Heh, nice to see how well you knocked the new kit out of the park. Already pre-ordered mine!
Your accent at the end had me smiling so big! You're the best, Dave!
You can also use an Indian naan bread for the base, already cooked and crisp up great!
My PFM40 just arrived today! And, I already have the rack from my bush pot kit have two alcohol stoves in route. The cooking adventure will soon begin!!! Thanks Dave!!! You ROCK, Brother!!! 😉
Awesome. I preordered one. Can’t wait to get it and use it. My son wants to make a pizza in it like you demonstrated in this video.
OMG! You've spilled my secret pizza sauce recipe! Been making my own pizza sauce for over 35 years with just tomato paste and Italian seasoning. Water thinning optional. Tastes good, stays where you put it, and it's dead simple to make.
Eating pizza with a fork?!😉
Amazing little stove, that.
Nicely done. Now I am hungry for a pizza.
Hi Dave! It's nice cook set the M40, it brings me back to my army days when I and my friends use it almost every day to cook our food.
I'm seeing a few ideas that would sell well with that m40 setup , to make more user friendly, make it friendly to other cooking vessels you have in your store . Wish I knew someone in my area that I could look, it over and do a few measurements on everything. Could draft up some patterns .

Like your cook set. Always good to see Zahn make an appearance.
Godzilla, my 22 year old Maine Coon, is camera shy.
David, I sure wish your site had a pre-order section. I'd like to see the cup and stove associated with your cook kit!
That's great Dave! it turned out perfect. I really want to get one of those M40 cook kits, especially since the old Swedish ones are impossible to find anymore. That's great that you guys are making another stove too, to fit inside! Thanks for another great video.

I just scored my an original m40 and was curious about baking in it. Perfect timing 👌
Hi sir, I just ordered the Pathfinder M40 here in Australia. I like the mini oven idea with it. Thank you for sharing.
Disappointed you used a large mixing bowl; I was hoping to see how you make it just using just the M40. Great video
I never would have ever thought to use Yellow HEET for fuel!!!! Thank you sir!!! LoL
Recipe for pizza dough ■ thank you
That look like "One Heart Healthy" pizza!!!!!
i do english muffin pizza's using tomato paste and more garlic/onion powder
Looks great Dave. Would a few stones help in the bottom for a heat sink? I like the look of the new m40 as I’m not a fan of aluminium. Alb lee
You can also use a flour tortilla in place of the pizza dough.
Delicious
Just ordered one of these. Great video. Now i gotta find me that rack to make pizza
What size grill is used in this video?
Why isn't there a link to the website to get the m40 cook set? And it would be nice to have the printed recipe so it could be screen shot and saved? Just saying. Using Heat for the fuel was a good tip. Thanks!

Will this kit work with your new multi fuel stove I just bought
Impressive
Looks amazing but slightly doughy
Nice
Maaaaan....breakfast time and I might need to find a pizza lol that cheesy mess looked good!
That set looks amazing, wonder about total cost and weight.
Does it get crispy in there? Make it sense to turn the whole oven so that you get heat from both side ?
You forgot the mushrooms!!! You can't have pizza without mushrooms 🤨.but anyway keep up the good work and God bless 🙏. Don't forget mushrooms!!! Lol 😆
Hey Dave I already have an M40 Swedish kit. I would like to know what size rack you used in it. I see you have them for sale on your website I just don't know which size thank you.
you should design a foldable pizza oven for the camp fire.
Dave, I purchased a pathfinder brand alcohol stove, I used it once in 40 degree weather to boil water, it never boiled. my fuel was denatured alcohol from Home Depot. any suggestions to improve results?
I like my peperoni on top of the cheese and a little crispy.
