Mice and rats pee as they walk leaving heavy scent trails . Enough for other mice to use in lightless caves . I think that snake was following a scent trail .
@@MojoHomesteadFL the snakes have evolved into rodent hunters with that body ,where a mouse can go , they can . They flick their tungs like gene simmons , to seekout amd follow these trails . A mouse can wreck a cars wireing inside or under the hood . A snake will even go under dash to eat a rodent and babies . Its their primary food source with lizards . Had two close calls rattle snakes this summer and never nefore . Found one baby skeleton . Caught released first no problems but 2nd large one wasnt playing . It ran into my cats pen and into their house . We fought it out until i denoggined it with a shovel... 5 hours later i was taking the hide and disecting it with no head heart liver . As i snipped about half way down along belly ,the empty body struck so hard that it came inches off the table into my lap ... Dont mess with them they are not weaker than us . Total animal fan and only snuffed it because it tried to snuff me . I will stuff the skin with marbles for a bean bag . It had 3 mice and 1 lizard in it . I Didnt have much to say Sorry ,
