Agreed. I bought my first losi 8t rtr cause of u. Its damn good beginner truggy. But it's no 4.0. Mines a tank still. Just upgrade turbuckles and rear diff cups. Never a diff issue on mine 2 gal through it

Those Losi 8T's run like a bat outta hell. Dam I just may have to get me the 4.0. They handle really well. Unreal! Nice to see the Losi is going to a good home. I actually bought this truggy right when you were reviewing it after your unboxing .i want to use the bump box i got the bump box but couldnt find the p!ate instock .i bought a xtra motor the mach .26 but the pull rope for it was like red sewing thread seriouslly ..didnt last long .but my stock .28 still going .i got the 4.0 mounts .wonder if the big red .28 would fit in same spkt as the stock .28 .

I also ordered a lrp. 32 and it can in within 3 days an yes it's a sealed motor. I've got to get a back plate for the rtr .28 if you still have one I'd like to purchase it . I really wanted to get a TRL 8ight xt/xte truggy kit but just can afford it atm definitely will be a future purchases for me probably next year . What's your input on the new 8ight xt truggy kit?

For bashing on stock is the 41032/9853 but depending on how and where you drive the most you can also do fine with 9886! If it’s a Modified? And depending on who modified the 28-8 because there are many ways of modding the 28-8 the combo to use and a must for bashing is the 41032/9886 for sure!

Ive noticed alot of people trying to make their rtr losi look like a 4.0 and its a crime. A 4.0 is just that a 4.0 not a rtr with a few add ons. Im not a losi fan but i dont believe in faking a race kit with a rtr

I have seen the new X - Truggy and it’s bad ass ! Probably the nicest Fn Nitro Truggy I have ever seen looked like a killer layout / sick ass platform but Those E-word bitches at horizon hobbies are not extending there contract with TLR . You can thank those Armma bitches for this! Hopefully they will eventually release it one of these days ??? Even with the new X not released yet they should have never discontinued the 4.0 . I have many friends that bought used 4.0’s and rebuilt them from scratch with there personal set ups
That really sucks they are doing everything that they can to get rid of nitro. I have several motors modded by Neal that I’m trying to run. I love TLR they are my favorite company. Everyone is running to electric because they can’t and won’t take the time to learn how to tune. But that sucks that they are holding back on the 8ight t X. And they pulled all the other nitro truggy off of the market.
See when I start my 29cc from cold it starts up revving high as heck is that normal? When I push on the brake lever it drops the revs down to idle speed ? Is that normal in cold conditions ?
Your end points are off! Do not attempt to drive it like that !! If you live in Long Island ? man i wish i could get my same engine to idle that well. if it sits a while it loads up then if i throttle it for a half sec and let up, it bogs down below idle sometimes stalling out :-\
Go to my past tuning videos . I show exactly how I tune after I do the break in of engine . Don’t over think things it’s easy! You must do and use the same things I do from fuel to glow plugs I’m sure you know by now I only use medium heat plugs and Byron’s 30-11 and this combination is the start of tuning and engine performance and protection

I have a question... when using the TLR bump box... do you have to install different motor mounts on the RTR nitro truggy to be able to start it?
Yes you need the TLR 4.0 engine mounts plus backplate no pull start

I recommend you use the sway bar instead and you will need strong pliers to bend it but if you want the stainless rod I got it on eBay some time ago.

man i wish i could get my same engine to idle that well. if it sits a while it loads up then if i throttle it for a half sec and let up, it bogs down below idle sometimes stalling out :-\
Go to my past tuning videos . I show exactly how I tune after I do the break in of engine . Don’t over think things it’s easy! You must do and use the same things I do from fuel to glow plugs I’m sure you know by now I only use medium heat plugs and Byron’s 30-11 and this combination is the start of tuning and engine performance and protection
