- Palmtex Super Micro game unit and React Attack game
Vintage 1984 portable video game unit - RARE!
For sale on eBay (9/12/2019) - SOLD for $516.00 (no joke) !!!
Be aware I make some mistakes and say some incorrect things as I am playing the game (it was the first time I played it). But you will get the general idea.
This system is crude by today's standards but apparently advanced for 1984. After getting a hang of the game-play, Real Attack was surprisingly fun!
Contact me with any questions.
THANK YOU! I have searched for this forever! I had one as a kid at like 7 or 8 years old...have not seen it since than and have searched the internet for years looking for an image not knowing the name. Found the name on the Video Game Console Library and found this video. Talk about a great memory!!! Awesome, thank you so much for taking me back...never could really figure out that game you are playing but I did have fun with it!
Glad you found the video and could relive some memories. Those childhood memories are really powerful and fun to experience again.
As a relic Is fantastic. But actually was a very sad console in that era.
Agreed!
Whoah man! This thing sucks! Cool obscure piece of hardware though. The only thing going for it. Earlier than this time I still remember my Coleco mini Pac-Man arcade that I got as a Christmas present in 1982 when I was 9. I guess that game blows this one out of the water. Nice to see this one in action.
Thanks for watching. This really is pretty terrible. The only way you can begin to appreciate it is understanding how old it is (and it still kind of stinks).
It's an interesting concept at the very least. This strikes me as being similar in concept to a LaserActive game. It was not processing graphics so much as playing a video file that matched the actions the player selected.
Never heard of the LaserActive system but just looked it up and watched some videos. The cost was crazy!
it is more interesting than the beginning of NES era. But time difference about 1-2 years. I guess it was failed in 80s gamedev collapse. Though I can find no device on Ebay
These are quite rare. I searched Palmtex on eBay and don't see any of the systems for sale - just a few games. But if you look at "Sold" a few did sell in the past few months. So keep your eyes open and you never know.
