      Kai Lemke is a very good addition to any electric bass plugged in!

    after listening with better headphones, i noticed that the round, bottom end of each bass gets slightly rolled off when the pedal is engaged, even when the LPF knob is set to 50-60%. i wish they had shown the LPF knob maxed to see how much the low end is retained. the low end is still there and all, but it’d be a nice touch if it’s completely unaffected.

      I think it's because according to the website the presence and body controls (treble and bass) come after the drive, and I would guess also after the LPF. The SGFX website description says the presence and body are neutral at noon and if you look at the controls in almost every playing example the body control is set below noon meaning they're cutting the bass in each setting.

    I am confused at 1:59 by the comment that with the LPF “you can exclude your low end”, isn’t it what a High Pass Filter would do, and not a low pass? “Low Pass” lets the low end pass, no? By the way a high pass is usually more useful than a low pass on bass.

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Low Pass means literally that the Filter will let the lows pass, means they're not affected.

    I have the LM208 version of the Dlux Beta and it's fantastic. I like what they've done with the tone control here, though, as I always had to keep it maxed.

    I was about to buy a JPTR JIVE, but I'm glad I saw this. To my ears (through my headphones at least), this one is a bit more what i'm looking for with way more flexibility.

    *Hey Bass the world, crucial question: Are you running the pedal on 9V?* With the Beta MKII the headroom charasteristic changed quite significantly when running it with different voltages(9V,12V,18V), i am asuming its the same for the MKV

  • @DannoDemo

    It may sound silly: great pedal, great review, and some amazing playing - however, I would love it if they crammed a DI out on this. Maybe a slightly larger enclosure would be needed. But I would swap out my current preamp if that was the case.
    Cheers and thank you for the video from the Pacific NW!

    hmm, I'd like something like that as 1st pedal but they seem all to be true bypass and I want my buffer... I guess I don't understand the right use of a pedal preamp

    • @klemke7043
      @klemke7043 ปีที่แล้ว

      A preamp colours the original signal. It furthermore boosts or decreases frequencies and the way it makes that possible for the player with knobs toggle switches etc and how good the result is at the end of the day and what other bonus features it has (comp/ drive section etc) add up to a favourable or not so good evaluation.

    A bit more volume, a bit more EQ, a bit of overdrive. Seems standard. A nice compact (less expensive?) option/alternate to a Sansamp. Especially if you use use a passive bass .
