One of the most inspiring videos for me. I switched from carp fishing to lure fishing ... and i love it! As you say: 10 minutes here, an hour there. better than sitting in a bivy for three days. greets from Hamburg/Germany
You have clearly researched the right area with the right features for the video. Often on canals, there can be long stretches with very few or no features.
What a perfect video this guy is brilliant explains eveything perfectly doesn’t over complicate anything , information as it should be and made my lure fishing journey a lot less daunting
@@FoxRageTV: You should do a video about the restrictions in certain areas, other than the closed season, I mean. The Horizon Liner has been moved on from many spots in London that are theoretically legal to fish. The ONLY case where I agreed with him being moved on, was this one video where he fished in a park.
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
Hi there love you videos I've just started jig fishing for perch had nothing on jig bin using spikey shad, but then I ternd to drop shot with worm's and had about 6 perch and one chubb the space of a hour, I don't no what I'm doing rong with jig in lures can eny on help me out , I mite be to inpatient , I have tried all lures in my box and nothing is working, the only thing is working is the critters crayfish on chubb meany thanks keep up the great uploads
I like the happiness in his voice when he's holding the perch up. Perch are beautiful, too bad in my country local savage population has decimated all predatory fish because "Gorr angle rod, Gorr eat all he catches". Luckily, there are some spots Gorr hasn't reached yet. Yet.
I find a good strong pair of folding nail clippers will cut a lot of different lines, even mono, flouro, even braids up to 30 lbs... Has anyone else used a folding nail clippers this way?
Few years ago I nicked my sisters hairdressing scissors for cutting line cause of how sharp they were. Nail clippers might be a good shout ill grab the missus' ones next time I'm out lol
I’ve caught a few small perch but most days on my local canal nearly every cast catches a branch, thick weed or a bag of rubbish,it’s so frustrating,I thought it was me but I’ve spoke to a few fellow anglers and they all have the same issues.
I have really decided to focus my efforts on Perch and Pike spinning. The single biggest problem I have is the constant snagging and loss of spinners/lures - this seems to be as a result of the trailing hooks. I feel really bad for the environmental costs of lost line and lures. I'm thinking of using 4-6lb hook line attached to 10-12lb main line - any ideas?
Bump it up, use 10lb mono and 20lb braid, so you can straighten the hooks out or pull through the snags! All’s offers abit more strength in case of hooking a like when perch fishing!
For pike I use 40lb braid with the same strength wire trace. As already mentioned above, this gives you the chance of bending the hook to release it. Only down side, you do sometimes drag in some monster snags!
Hi, the rod used was the Warrior Drop Shot (www.foxrage.com/home/products/rage/rods-warrior) as well as the Ti-Pro Ti Pro Twitch & jig 210cm 3-14g (www.foxrage.com/home/product/ti-pro-rods?b=Rage&c=rods-ti-pro), the reels are Prism X and Warrior 1000 - 2500 size (www.foxrage.com/home/products/rage/reels) Hope this helps.

I think the best thing to do is get the best out of everything. That's why I love the Fish with Carl channel
Really Love the way you handle the fish. Showing it respect by realeasing it gently with the Net... 👍👍

Hi Marc, this is the Tackle Vest Ben was wearing: www.foxrage.com/home/product/voyager-camo-tackle-vest?b=Rage&c=luggage-voyager
What length rod would be recommended for such applications?
What size hooks would you recommend
What type of lure was used in video?
