    I understand this now .
I wanted to start a business of selling simple wood product . But for the time being , work as e-hailing driver . Saving up to buy basic equipment .
    Sorry , bad english 😂

Shipping alone can cost a lot of money! Haha. It's fun as a hobby, but it can take some time before you start making a solid income with projects.

Yep. People are like that about everything. I get $5 a dozen for my organic eggs. People will say, "well I can buy eggs at the store for $1 a dozen". Good. Go buy them. They aren't extremely fresh, free range, organic and pampered chickens. My cricut projects. $25 for a tshirt on average. $5 in cost to me. Some might take me 10 minutes to make. Some people will say this. They don't have a Cricut though and I do. My husband makes benches out of old baby cribs. Free ones. He charges $100 for one. Someone thought $25 was reasonable. lol. I say if you want it cheaper, go try to make it yourself. I'll wait.

That's exactly my point! You paid for the Cricut with your own money, and it required the initial investment. Additionally, you had to learn how to use the Cricut, and develop those skills as well. These are valuable skills, and pricing should reflect that.
As for your husband's bench situation, I can definitely relate! I sometimes sell my things on local online marketplaces, and you'd be surprised as to the number of low offers I receive, despite having listed that it's a brand new piece of custom furniture. It would be a completely different story if it had been used for years.

I honestly think it's because you can buy a mass produced whatever at Ikea or from Amazon that is so cheap, that's what people are comparing the cost to. It's the same as the eggs lol. Factory bench, factory eggs. (I paid for coop materials when my daughter in law wanted to get hens, thus securing my egg supply...)
My work is writing and I very much hope that eventually 🤞 someone will complain about paying 20 dollars for a book-- most of which goes to the publisher-- that took me 5 years to write. Not much equipment besides one laptop and a case of paper, but oh so very much time.

I completelt understand! That's just the thing with anything that takes skill! Others sometimes don't see the value.

The buying them a coop and securing your egg supply thing makes a lot of sense lol. My parents just put me through college and told me “now y’all can take care of us when we’re older.” I bet they’re waiting on me getting serious about my work soon

Please let me know what you think about this concept! What's a situation you've been in that has made you feel this way? This logic honestly applies to any skill or trade!
