I feel like the point of this concept was missed. I've never read it before, this was my first exposure to it, and while I agree the DC version is more grounded, at their roots it's wholly different concepts. Where the DC version is a concept asking the question of "how would the concepts of these heroes exist in the real world?" answer being in the minds of children who one day have to grow up. this feels more like an otherworld story still in the Marvel universe asking "what if there was no supernatural power in the Marvel universe?" which is a very different concept. fundamentally it shows us that these heroes, their characters, are still very much the same people, and that with or without power they are who they are and they'll fight for their convictions. honestly beautiful, and a great message to show that the heroes we love aren't defined by their powers, but use their powers the way they do because of who they are. sure the consequence becomes some predictability in events, but that's the point. how would the events of their lives play out if they didn't have super powers? the spider sense feels like just a play on a person's intuition surrounding the moral ambiguity of a person, a very non-supernatural thing, and the nitpick about finding Matt in the alley really is just that, a nitpick. those are the consequences of storytelling, these are the events that happened, and we are along for the ride. it's not that hard to believe Matt's infallable will we know him to have as DD would help him push to find his way home, and then once back in the burrough where he lives, running into someone he knows. and for the sake of the story and what it's trying to tell, it ends up being Watts. hope those thoughts make a difference, and maybe you'll see the story a bit differently. I think it being set up by your viewer as the same thing as the DC concept put a false expectation that skewed the experience. nice videos tho, keep improving, I'm interested to see how your perception surrounding storytelling grows and develops as you continue making these 🙌🏼

I think it being set up by your viewer as the same thing as the DC concept put a false expectation that skewed the experience. nice videos tho, keep improving, I'm interested to see how your perception surrounding storytelling grows and develops as you continue making these 🙌🏼
I feel like this was a “what is the watcher was walter white” but instead of doing something about his situation, he just kept watching.
I think in the end he does kill himself after he hears about matt. He takes the stuff peter said too far, he just watches his whole life, sitting absently in his job about other people’s lives. after the situation with matt and peter, he caved instead of being inspired. despite the visions, cancer, and warnings from peter, he just kept watching.
This just goes to show that the punisher is one of marvels only realistic heros
No
Still can’t believe you don’t have more subs. Videos are amazing
1000%
Not everybody likes what you like. We are not part of the hivemind that converted you.
@@youtubestudiosucks978 buddy it’s not that deep 😂
peter cant catch a break 😭
Everyone in this universe is definitely unique to their super universe counterparts that's for sure. But yeah The Punisher no matter what universe you're in is always gonna be just a crazy guy with a loaded arsenal shooting up gang bangers and cartel lol, and I love that so much.
Why would Peter’s uncle still get killed?
its not like it was supervillains that killed him. it was just a shooting, and no one could have stopped it
@@fandomgacha3361 that still doesn’t change the fact that Uncle Ben is dead. He didn’t get killed by a super villain in the main timeline. Peter let a robber go, and the robber killed ben.
@@christianrapperIt's a cannon event
No superpowers or multi universes or dramatic fights in space. Its just being relatable creative brave people with natural human physical limits saving and capturing bad guys on the streets, It really can also be entertaining.
Obviously the watcher is somehow trapped in his own mind, where death is the only escape....
I dont understand why the spiderman message sent to osborn is "obviously" from peter when he isnt publicly affiliated with spiders in this universe. either were missing context as viewers or you might have misunderstood something in the story
1:27 got bit by a Spider. Peter was being secretly monitored by Osborn so yeah he would know the connection.
"Ruins" but wholesome
I sew a covers of Powerless and I haven't got a chance to read it, i need to get this comic asap.
Wilson saying watch your step to a blind man is funny.
Great move having this run follow the most interesting marvel characters
A universe where no one has power… isn’t that just us?
my favorite hero in this universe is Man
Truely, the hero of all time
Arkham man?
Peter Parker has happy ending for second time. Holy shit
Bruh this shit was fire. The DC ones are good. And marvels and shot was good. But I like that this one had more of an actual plot
This is the first of your videos I've seen, I loved the content, and your narration was perfect!
Im glad Logan stayed in this story, I got worried at the claws to a gun fight.
the “turn this whole ride upside down” reference got me to subscribe
I like how this story is basically just combining and rewriting a bunch of classic Marvel stories into a more grounded conspiracy thriller
Tony stark be like: “What got you so down? Powers still exist!”
This honestly feels like a better take on Marvel Ruins trying to be a "realistic" take on the Marvel mythos, but with changes that are reasonable and just make sense and remind us that the characters personalities and humanity are more important than their super powers. I particular like the way you highlight the fact that alot of these characters when you take away the superpowers really just have complicated psychologies and the sort.
Batman: you get used to it
Incredible video bro. Please keep it up you’re very talented - you definitely deserve more subs but trust that they will come because you make great content. I even shared it to my friends! All in God’s timing
Oh boy, they did the Hulk and Doctor Strange dirty. Instead of having there respectfully jobs that they had before they gained power one of them is in prison and the other is a street artist. Feel bad man
I liked Dr strange’s inclusion, I didn’t like Banner’s
It's not grimdark like Ruins, it's more just dissapointing lol, i actually like that.
If spider man comic artist write the avenger:
It’s pretty nice to see Peter Parker have his own happy ending though his arm is crippled. I am curious if it was incurable or something.
If everyone is the same person just without powers, why is Wolverine alive? He would be like 200 years old. The claws part was cool but I feel like even though they dont have powers, they all kind of have a manilla version of their powers. Like a Power Lite
William Watts sounds like a Stan Lee name
This one has been on my reading list for more than a decade, these "what if suoerheroes were in the real world" have always been suoer interesting to me. But I guess this one doesn't do too much with the concept.
That is the best coma ever to like automatically be in like a fictional universe when you’re passed out
Willian looks more like depressed Walter White
I'm 5 minutes in and already lovin this storyline! Dope video 👏🏾. This comic makes me think of moments when someone picks up a hobby and seems to have a "talent" for it...could that have meant they were an expert in another reality? Lol idk. But it was an interesting thought
Back to the vid 🍿🍿
idk what's better, showing iconic marvel characters as average humans, or confirming that every marvel hero probably needs therapy
Never knew about this series, decent story. Thanks for covering it
No matter the universe Marvel will not let Logan, Peter or Matt ever have just a decent life
Ironically the ending of Punisher killing King pin reminds me of an old story of a rich guy who bothered an entire town, even shot someone point blank at one point. He was on bail and had the money for a good lawyer, they didn’t even try to prosecute the guy for murder but assault, so long story short he was shot and killed in front of over 40 people with no witnesses stepping forward, as he had harassed most of the town for years, its regular people doing what the govt fails to at times.
Love this story. Real life may be anti-climactic sometimes, but that doesnt mean its all bad.
I'm glad we got a mention of CaptainBritain (Brian Braddock). we need more of him
great vid- but the beeping of the backing track killed me
The only part I didn’t like was Logan still having claws somehow lol
Senreich was actually an intern at Marvel when he was about 16
This should have been a crossover event spanning across every comic book title.
loved the video subbed thanks for these man
Batman: "Now you know how it feels"
19:34 bros being sarcastic but i had no idea at all 🥶
Secret Wars must have been very hard on this world. One second everything normal, the next there's freaks with spandex and powers, killer robots, and even dinosaurs charging abut the place.
Why would the Doctor Strange be some street fortune teller? Wouldn't he have his job at the hospital?
No still had the accident
The rhino is just a regular rhino at New York Zoo
the only comic where Hawkeye is useful
I want to see a What If like tv series for Powerless
8:36 that dawg in him
11:46 this this is like that scene in Spider-Man where Norman is talking with the goblin in the mirror
just started
> william watts
> visions of marvel universe
> bald
the watcher for sure
I'd like a logan that uses punches and knifes. Instead of the claw things
I want to see wolverine fight the cartel then they put him in a vat of acid and he explodes out of a 55-gallon drum as just an adamantium skeleton with claws murdering everyone 😂 ... I've wanted wolverine versus the cartel for awhile LOL
Is Michael Gaydos who draws the book, Alex Maleev only draws the first issue cover of the book
I thought Logan would use those claws in his handshake
we all know 616 William Watts is actually Walter White
❤ you made this comic interesting!
They didn't even show my boy? They did Toad dirty 😭
