  • The Queen Mine Tour in Bisbee Arizona is hands down the best mine tour I have ever been on. If you ever wondered what it was like to be a old time miner back in the day this is the best tour to get a feel of what it was like without having to worry about getting your hand blasted off in the process.
    Once a thriving copper mine, the Queen Mine has been transformed into a fascinating tourist attraction. But before we descend into the depths, let's take a moment to appreciate Bisbee's rich mining history. As we venture deeper into the mine, the temperature drops, and the air feels heavy with anticipation. In this underground labyrinth, we are transported back in time, experiencing the challenges and triumphs of the men who toiled here.

    Very well done!
    About 20+ years ago, I was hired to do the audio with a video crew that spent 2 days there shooting a video about the history of mining. We were hired by a Professor from the University of Arizona, who had received a “partial” grant to produce the video.
    We finished the shoot, but unfortunately the professor never got the rest of his grant money, so the video never got edited.
    Oh well, at least I got paid and the check didn’t bounce!

    I went into the Hoover Dam in Las Vegas down below definitely felt claustrophobic! but it was fascinating!. 10 storey building underground, I can't even imagine it.

      Thank you for watching, this mine was indeed immense. Inside the hoover dam is a good analogy.

    I took the tour in 2000. It was a lot of fun. It's not hard to find interesting stones on the side of roads and whatnot.

      Isn't crazy how loaded that area is with mineral ore?! It is literally everywhere there.

  • @fr2ncm9
    @fr2ncm9 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Our tour also allowed us to get off and walk around certain safe areas. I walked over to one spot and came upon a roped off section beyond the rope was a gaping hole that looked to be almost a hundred feet deep. I guess that area wasn't part of the tour.

    • @pedrozatravel
      @pedrozatravel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There were parts that if you walked off in the wrong direction it looks like it could be dangerous but I just stayed with the tour. I didn't feel like getting left behind in a 10 story high mine. 😁
