Great review Richard and a lovely gun. Got the same one on order and hopefully get it end of April. My DW in .30 been on order since November and still waiting for it
Nice review again ....I’ve used the red wolf owned by my good friend Christopher elphick from southwestshooters ...it’s the most accurate thing I’ve ever shot.as a Hunter I really don’t like the trigger as it’s like clicking a mouse button, apart from that it’s a flagship on how good rifles can be.
Another super review Richard, I have been looking (only looking!!) at the Heritage for the last week or so & now you have confirmed what I thought, this is a real beauty, simply stunning & I thought my Daystate MK4IS was a good looking rifle, this on a different level altogether👍
Another great vid. I agree about the price but I can't afford a hyper car but I still love to watch them on grand tour. Now is it me or did you call it The Red Dwarf at the beginning 😁
Truly an amazing rifle. Do I want to spend the extra money on a gun 5 minutes after I bought it is worth half the price in the PCP used gun world...NO. Why is it that PCPs don’t hold the value as a powder burner? Nothing wrong with them to be honest. It’s just the value depletion in just moments of the purchase. I love my PCPs but to be fair...there isn’t any reason to buy them as an investment or an heirloom. I for one can see buying these type of rifles at the moment as an investment. No body likes to loose money no matter how long it takes for the gun to deplete in value. Right now the state of the art gun is the M3. It’s value won’t dealt till the demand does to be honest. I don’t know anything about what I’m talking about to be frank. What’s your opinion on the subject of you would be so kind to explain in your opinion?
That's the thing though isn't it Ray? I don't think there's a huge amount of difference between most top and even some medium level rifles when it comes to putting pellets on a target. Many would argue that accuracy is the only point. Others would say that they gain pleasure in the shooting and owning experience. I mean, you could drive to the shops in a swanky BMW or a basic Ford Escort. Both will get you there but some would take pleasure in getting their in the. BMW. Each to their own say I...
Great and informative video. Thank you. I’ve ordered an HP .22 Heritage which is 3 weeks away from Daystate. Those last 50 metre shots with the 25 grain pellets are interesting. What power setting were you using then please?
Hi Richard Fabulous review as always. For me £3000 to sit in a box or display cabinet dos'nt work, its basically the same mechanically as the normal red wolf, it dos'nt shoot better its the same exept in a nicer coat, infact i think the midnight is nicer looking, is it 6 of one or the other. You put it across very professionally and did it proud, but for me its the same item, just in its sunday best, for a large premium, typical Day State £££££££££££ give me the money. Take care stay safe, and keep it lit.👍 my friend.
I must apologise to you Richard I commented that a s510 /weihrauch hw100 is better at half the price I just bought a redwolf midnight .177 and at 30metres I took 40 shots and it’s probably the best group I’ve had in almost 50 years of shooting it measured 5.4 mm in size so basically one hole and I’m a decent shooter but I put it down to the guns barrel and electronics the feet spread was only 6fps that’s incredible.
I’m not taken with the colour scheme on this one,but each to his own,I like the blue or the walnut.Never liked the red it’s god awful - I’ve even seen some with matching red scope mounts, silencer and bipod 🤮 Good job we’re all different.
I've never professed to be a bench rest champion, but come on, 10 pellets in 3/4 of an inch at 55 metres straight out of the box. Its not that bad is it? The 11th pellet was one that I deliberated shot with hold over because I could see the group was low, otherwise it would have been in the group as well. But you're right, the Red Wolf is capable of phenomenal accuracy. Thanks for watching.
@@airgunextra Im a big fan , i was just expecting better from an FAC spec Red Wolf ,ive only shot the sub 12 version and the sub 12 Delta and both are staggeringly accurate . Mind if its only had 70 shots through it still probably leading in the barrel .
Good video richard , i to use a .25 FAC Redwolf and a .25 delta wolf , both accurate as hell but i would never compare its accuracy to a sub 12ftlb .177 like my air arms S510 , its apples and oranges, where these FAC rated high power air guns come into there own is at longer ranges , if you can get sub MOA groups at a 100 yards then in my book that is plenty good enough mate ! i am currently waiting for my .25 Delta wolf to come back from daystate as it had issues so i will be pushing the ranges out to see what thats capable of.
@@PaulHamM3 Thanks Paul. And I agree. For me as a hunter/pest control, ten shots grouping less than an inch at 55m is acceptable at FAC power levels. I too am waiting on my FAC Delta Wolf to come back. Nothing wrong with it, just that it was an early pre-production version that is being updated to the current spec. I hope you get yours back soon. Thanks for watching.
I know you've since amended this comment/opinion, but why on earth would you ever have said you have a springer that out shoots a Red Wolf...? That was never true and i don't really think you could have truly believed it...

You're a lucky man Jamie - two of the best rifles on the market right there. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Andy. The electronic trigger is a different sensation, but once you're used to it its a delight to use. Thanks for watching.

Very beautiful rifle do the limited edition daystate hold thier value
I couldn’t outshoot myself with that over my fine BSA costing 1/3 as much. But, that sure is nice.

Got a standard 12ftlb and they are brilliant compared to rifles of the same price!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎

Nice review, shared on FB👍🏼
Thanks Eric.
I’ve never like the air cylinders on the Daystate. Great review though.
Are they that different to air bottles on other rifles?
Shame the cocking lever isn't bronzed as well, makes it look cheap. For a £3K rifle i would expect better groups than that.

Hi Jerry - no, no problems with this rifle in the winter....
Those groups are not typical of a Red Wolf action ,my own .177 Midnight prints far far tighter groups at long range sub 12 .
