First aid. In planning a kit, consider taking the "Stop the Bleed" class for info & items that may be lifesaving in any serious wound the might lead to bleeding out in a few minutes. Some thoughts, tourniquet, "Israeli Bandage", clotting agent, chest wound seal.
A couple of triangular bandages! And bandages to hold dressings in place. For abdominal injuries a clean plastic bag should be placed over any exposed intestines before dressing to keep area moist and clean. Plastic bag also good for chest injuries if the lung has been damaged to prevent collapse and assist breathing.
I like the box you selected. The contents are similar to my kit but I have some additional bleeding control such as: compression bandages, Tourniquet (CAT type), and a couple packets of blood stop.
Bleeding control, Not a bad idea I’ve never bought a tourniquet. I always thought I would use the triangle bandage and a stick. Maybe I’ve under thought this. What brand do you like?
@@YouJustGottaGetPrepared I like the Recon Medical Tourniquet which can be self applied. I also use the "Israeli" compression bandage which also can be self applied. Both are available on Amazon.
Elly Berghoef you are welcome. I’m glad you liked the video. Our family has been using this for years and it has worked great. It’s so nice to have everything together and organized so the kids can use it.
I would use the middle drawer for strains, broken bones etc fill it with Splints, Triangular bandages and different thick ans strong elastic bandages that can do the job for those kind of injuries.
I dont recall anyone asking you for your advice. You have logged far too many hours on youtube and need to go outside and experience life first. Comments under every video on the website.
Nail clippers are a savior... if I don't keep my big toes in check, I get ingrown toenails, painful swelling and turns into an infection with pus and all. terrible.

I have the exact same plan. I went with the 12 compartment small parts organizer for my top because you can see through it.

Wemons pads and plastic wrap can be used to make a chest wound pressure kit.
Super helpful for us as new preppers! Nice way to organize everything! Thank you!

You should have a place for a Tourniquet, and know how to use it.
I am looking to build a similar kit for SHTF. I didn't see anything in regards to a wound requiring stitches. What would you suggest in that area?
If you are not trained in suturing then steri strips would be a good idea
Take a stop the bleed course and you'll realise you need some better equipment for major Hemmorhage control
