I must admit, Maribelle surprised me. I thought she would be very one note as an aloof person but, as she interacted with others, not only did she become a Medieval Civil rights activist, she helped the others with their faults whether it be in a comedic and canon way like Olyvia or dragging Lon'qu kicking and screaming. She even helped Donnel and, being honest, became one of the most shippable characters for me as, in her conversations, she either bettered herself or her conversation partner in almost all of them.
Well that is quite a question. I'd say Miriel would win in terms of the level of words used, and Maribelle in terms of insults. Maribelle would win in a quarrel because Miriel ain't got no time for that shit.
She's definitely up there for me, I just don't pick her mainly because of two reasons: 1) Cordelia is my true Waifu, thus I have her as a main choice (though i usually pair her with Gregor) 2) I want Nah as my daughter (thus, I have to marry loli dragon) Maribelle usually gets Virion in my experience. And I guess it works
Maribelle's definitely the most well written female of Awakening, in my opinion. Partially because her main character trait doesn't define her entire character, which can't be said for most of the Awakening cast.
I actually liked Maribelle a lot as a unit in Awakening. I had her as a sage during one playthrough, and she consistently took none of the enemy's crap while effortlessly ripped them to shreds with a Thoron upon retaliation.
Here are the Max Stats for Sage and War Cleric. Hp Str M Skl Spd Lck Def Res 80 30 46 43 42 45 31 40 (Sage) 80 40 40 38 41 45 38 43 (WC) The way I see it, Sages are better. Better healing, more speed and more skill (Because Awakening Skills are necessary). Sure you lose some defense, but healers aren't meant to be on the front lines.

Speaking of Bradly, I kept reclassing him for fun, and he really is good regardless of what class you put him in.
I always feel like I'm being rude whenever I do this, but I guess I'll do it anyway cuz information and all. Maribelle wasn't kidnapped by Gangrel in the sense that he had Plegians take her in the dead of night, but more so that she confronted a group of Plegians who were attacking a village, and was taken by them as hostage when she did. You also didn't mention Maribelle's tendency to surprise others with knowing things they wouldn't expect, such as when she suggests that Lon'qu have a "pack of lovely ladies wait on [him]" to help deal with his gynophobia, or how she spouts slang at Robin that s/he didn't teach her in order to tease him. It's a pretty amusing bit of her that isn't just a one-off thing.

I don't think you've covered a single Dancer/Bard in your Spotlight series yet. Reyson, Nils, Olivia, Azura...any one would make for a good episode, I think. Regardless, these are pretty interesting to watch, so keep up the good work! EDIT: One dancer HAS been featured already (thanks, Xiruslol!). But that doesn't mean more wouldn't be welcome!
Love watching Character Spotlights, good job as always :) I think it would be interesting to see Spotlights of three Pegasus Knight Sisters - Palla, Catria and Est - in the near future (especially with Echoes coming soon). Since they appear in a lot of games, it would surely be a lot of work, but also a lot of interesting content. Also I might be wrong, but we didn't have any villains since Alvis - how about Zephiel or Black Knight for example?

I'll be honest here is that Maribelle is one of my favorite troubadour characters as healer units go in the series in my opinion I say Maribelle is a second best healer units so no reclassing allowed because just to avoid player influences even though her personality is not the best being that she is the typical noblewoman since I noticed that cliche, but at least her character designs hold her up & did really well since she was one of those few characters in Awakening that undergoes lots of development since her character ending pretty much says it itself.

Eh, I always made her a Valkyrie, I left Sage to Miriel and war Cleric to Lissa (Yes I used Miriel, she turned out great).
How was Lissa as a War Cleric? I'd never use it except for renewal

Even without Galeforce, Maribelle as a Dark Flier is fearsome, but only after you switch from the Valkyrie class.

Yeah, boy. What I love about him is that despite being already very entertaining, he has a weaker/humane side to him which gives him decent depth.
