Get a down jacket with a hood and these jackets are very good but Eddie Bauer makes great jackets and with some shopping around you can get 35 to 50% off the retail price. Good video 😊
Yes! I like Eddie Bauer products as well. Their First Ascent products are solid! I actually own a few pairs of their Guide Pro shorts and pants. Great flannels too. Thank you for watching.
@@ryank2434 I have a huge collection of jackets and the older Eddie Bauer were made better because they got bought out by some company and they outsourced everything now but if you compare warmth and price EB goes head to head with ever other company in the world and they actually hold the Patton for down jackets .
I see this with yours too. The thing I have an issue with my nano puff is how that one side of the collar keeps folding towards my neck. Not an issue when fully zipped up but a bit irritating when I'm wearing it casually. I hope they will address this in future designs
Hi. Thanks for watching. Hooded vs no hood really just depends on personal preference and also use/activity. For my uses, I'm good with a warm beanie and I prefer not having a hood with "puffy" type jackets especially if layered under a shell which of course already has a hood too. Your uses/activities may be different and warrant the extra warmth of the insulated hood. If you are out in the cold/windy conditions for longer periods of time and a beanie in combination with a hood on your shell is not enough, the hooded options may he right for you.
Hi. Thanks for watching. Check Patagonia's website. The color is called "superior blue" but I don't think they currently stock that shade of blue. I saw a " wavy blue" but it is definitely lighter. You can also do a web search for patagonia superior blue down sweater. Some other retailers may still carry the color.
Hi. I have had very minimal down coming out. I don't think any down jacket with traditional baffles is immune from some loss of down. However, compared to another down jacket I own from a different brand, my Patagonia definitely has lost much less down filling. If you think you are losing excessive amounts, contact Patagonia. In my experience their customer service has always been awesome. Thanks for watching.
Hi. The nanopuff color is "Kelp Forest". I bought it in 2020 though so I'm not sure if they have that color in their current product lineup. Thanks for watching.

Hi. It is "Superior Blue". I don't think Patagonia currently makes the down sweater in this color. Closest color would probably be "Passage Blue" which looks a bit darker. Thanks for watching.

Bauer is garbage quality compared to Patagonia and their products aren’t covered the same. I’ve personally had bad experiences with them

Good video. I just ordered the Nanopuff because I got a smokin' deal on a discontinued color. Hopefully one day I get the Down Sweater too.
Where from?
Great in depth but simple comparisons! Thank you :D
I love my down vest my down vest but not in damp conditions I was surprised how warm my Nano Puff vest is.
Hi Don, your old friend Ryan here. Bought the Micro Puff as a mid layer for skiing ⛷️
Cool! Haven't tried the Micro Puff personally, but I heard/read it's a great synthetic option warmer than Nano and still really light.
those jackets look like they've never seen the outside of a public accounting office

Looks like you have the old version of the Patagonia Down Sweater.
Hey Don! wta, if you planning to buy rain jacket from patagonia (torrentshell 3l) would you prefer s size or m size. Thanks !
Hi. I prefer a size small in the rain jackets . Thanks for watching!
Any reason not to go with the hooded option, and thoughts on that option for both?

Do you ever have issues with down coming out of your sweater? A lot of down comes out of mine.

@@robjohnson9270 then whats the point of you watching the video? By that logic, any video can be summized in a sentence and then you can read it.
