To this day I can read and pronounce Polish words correctly - even if I don't understand them. A high point on my trip was when I purchased two bus tickets to Wloclawek. "Dwa bileta do Wloclawek prosze".
I had the same experience in Brazil, no one spoke English. When I finally found someone who understood me, I broke in to tears heheh…so, I feel you. I’ll be coming to Poland next year, I’m glad I’ve watched your video

Why are you surprised? Has Poland ever been colonised by the UK? Certainly not. Nigerians have to speak English, as how would it be possible to communicate efficiently in a country of 210 million people who speak 450+ languages? Polish people speak just one native language. At least 98-99% of us.

This was a very funny and interesting vlog. The one I could relate to well was the pronunciation of Wroclaw... like I was applying for something and kept pronuncing it the wrong way...I actually learnt the right pronunciation from your channel
Polish mothers are exactly the same ... that's why we call polish young people who move out to study or work in big cities "słoiki" which means "the jars" 😊 cause mums pack food for the whole month for them into the jars when the young ones visit their homes ;)

You are very brave. I'm Polish, was born in Poland and lived there for the first 20 years of my life. I emigrated to the USA over 30 years ago so I kind of know what you went through. It was easier for me because I spoke some English and had people waiting for me that helped me get started. It was still very difficult. I have a lot of respect for you. I hope things are easier now.

My host(AirBNB) , even while I was in Nigeria, offered to pick me up from the airport and take me shopping(on my expense oh.. ) for warm(er) clothes. Mind blowing. I wish everyone here the same experience. I would like to add these tips for anyone coming for the first time - Prioritize getting a sim card. You need to be able to tell where you are and where you are going to. Ask(try) for Zabka, its a common shop here. You can get a sim, top it up and have it registered (passport needed) at once. - Get an indepth understanding of their transportation system before coming. It gets easier once you understand it.

You're a great storyteller! I could feel every emotion! Moving to a totally different country and not knowing the language is very brave and teaches you a lot about yourself! Crying is fine! :) I only had one experience similar to this when I went to Thailand. I am native Polish and knew nothing about the language :D I knew I could handle it if I had internet access, so I bought a (much overpriced) simcard right at the airport. That saved me a lot, although I also got lost a few times :D :D I'm glad you managed to handle the tough situation and arrived safely. :)
