Yes it is. Total years spent studying will be split it half- so, if you spend 3 years, its split into 1.5years and that is added/taken in consideration towards your residency.

At the moment I live in Wroclaw and I work in Kraków. If you have a remote job yes you can. If you want to commute to work that will be long hours of transport
