Holy crap, I remember this! Thank you for uploading, this brings back tons of memories! I had to have played this around 15 years ago, what an awesome game.
Wow this bring back so many memories, and shows that Blue Sky studios or at least who ever decided to put the demo on the DVD is a Giga Chad. Thats honestly makes getting a DVD containing a demo worth it. I still own my copy though can not play the demo due to no longer owning an original Xbox but its still cool regardless.
I was in a heated debate for years with a friend over the existence of this game, I knew I wasn't lying. Have no idea how I found out if you put the dvd in an Xbox you got a game, but nonetheless
An Xbox was almost always my DVD player since my PS2 didn't run them as well. But my Xbox controller was broken for a while so we had to use the DVD Remote. I'd put in the Robots DVD and it would autostart the demo. You had to choose the option to play the movie instead. Main issue is that YOU COULDN'T CONTROL THAT WITH THE DVD REMOTE! I was stuck not being able to actually watch the DVD for a while as a result lol
Thankyou Shadowluigi for your effort but I cant get it to work... I think cause I have a PAL xbox. It appears to stall loading so there must be some hard region lock despite changing video mode in enigma etc.
I just finished watching Robots for the first time and i'm absolutely dumbfounded that they crammed an entire Xbox demo onto this dvd, that's so wild
How? Are you obvious to file sizes?
@@miregoji2959 oblivious, and no i'm just surprised they went through the trouble of doing so. the only other movie i know that did this was Doom
@@miregoji2959 not much of a vocabulary you have there hon
I don't know how they put a whole fucking demo in a movie dvd disc. It's amazing

@@Rebateman Alright, thanks.
@@Rebateman also includes Hulk (2003) and Van Helsing
@@RebatemanI think the Trilogy has Battlefront 1.
@@heardofrvbpretty sure it’s LEGO Star Wars II
They play this game in an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
I’ve been looking for this on TH-cam, glad I’m not the only one who played a few dvd game demos

Had this DVD for years before I found out there was a game on it. Too bad I never had an Xbox to play it on.
Thank you for uploading this!
I remember playing this all the time! more than was probably warranted for this dvd demo disc
Holy nostalgia
I think I played this once when I realized it was a thing but god damned when I was like "mom, I think this is a game too" I felt like a detective.

Crazy how they were able to fit a game inside a dvd
Thanks for the link!
you know how movies have tie-in games? WELL THE MOVIE IS THE TIE-IN GAME
Lmaoo I thought this shit was a dream I had
Vivendi Universal huh? Looks like we have a new SHAR mod in our hands.
Don’t forget Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon....
I had the DVD since I was very young and had no idea there was a game on it
oh man i remember when i first discover this
you are doing gods words Mr. Thirtyseven

This game was a ball back in the day
I actually played this demo, when I obtained the US DVD from eBay. BTW, what’s with the Xbox menu screen?
It's a modded XBOX
I remember playing this
Oh wow....
Seeing as Robots the game is not playable on Xbox 360, I kinda doubt the dvd demo might.

Do newer releases of the movie work with the old Xbox?
The newer releases have different artwork on the case and disc, but the ISO is exactly the same as the original widescreen DVD.
@@S-Video So if I have a wide-screen version of the DVD (any year), it should work right?
Yes. The full screen version works too. In short, every DVD of Robots has the Xbox multiplayer game.
@@S-Video that's awesome! I wonder if other movies that had xbox demos still work with newer dvd releases.
Did anyone else use the taco coupon in the activity book? Unfortunately I did not . .
Sierra develoby crash tag team racing in 2005 release not release on psp.
I wish this would work on the Xbox One
sadly, does not. I popped in Robots on DVD into my xbox one (mainly to rewatch it.) and no it doesn't allow you to play the demo.
I'm confused, is this an untouched XBE of the game? The XBE is configured to only run off HDD...
Is there any way to play this on an xbox 360? For me, it just only plays the movie instead of the demo.
what emulator are you using?
I recorded the playthrough of this demo on an original Xbox which was also modded.
