If you don't feel like waiting for the remake, I would say Yakuza 2 is still just as a good time as the other games; But you can bet an entire year's pay that the remake is gonna have a ton more stuff than the ps2 original.

(Also if something in another game explains why there wouldn’t be Kiryu wouldn’t miss Rikiya please don’t tell me, I’ve only beaten 0 through 3 and just started 4 the other day).

Remastered version only, but the part where you play as Haruka and have to cheer on Kiryu as he sings his song should be at least ten times harder to make up for Haruka's hellish song in Kiwami.
It would have been better if Haruka would have done a duet with her Uncle Kaz. Or a trio of Kiryu, Saejima, and Akiyama performing "Baka Mitai" under Akiyama's version. Because we know Kiryu did not kill Sohei Dojima and somehow Saejima thought he killed the Ueno-Seiwa, but one of their own survived by killing 18 of his own men and framed Taiga Saejima to say he did it.
I haven't played many Yakuza games (only both kiwami) but I must say when I first saw Kiryu in 5, I thought he didn't aged at all but looking at this video he actually has aged quite a bit
I've come here only to find answers. Why is he looking at the picture of a frecking dog like he spend his whole life with it. The dog didn't even die yet, though.
