  • Welcome back to my flight training journey! In this week's update, I'm excited to share with you the highs and lows of my 14th week in the cockpit. It's been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but I'm thrilled to report some major milestones.
First off, let's talk about the PAR exam. Whew, what a challenge! This was hands down one of the toughest exams I've faced so far. But with grit, determination, and the invaluable support of my instructors, I'm proud to say that I conquered it! Passing the PAR exam has been a significant achievement in my flight training journey, and it's a testament to the countless hours of studying and practice that I've dedicated to mastering the material.
But the learning doesn't stop there. With the PAR exam behind me, I'm now gearing up for the next big step: my check ride to obtain my Private Pilot License (PPL). It's both nerve-wracking and exhilarating to think about finally reaching this milestone. The thought of taking to the skies solo as a licensed pilot is something I've been dreaming about for years, and I can't wait to see it become a reality.
Join me as I continue to navigate the ups and downs of flight training, sharing the challenges, triumphs, and everything in between. And if you're also on your own aviation journey, I'd love to hear about your experiences too! Together, let's soar to new heights and make our aviation dreams a reality. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to stay updated on my flight training adventures. Clear skies and tailwinds ahead! ✈️🌟

Gleim test prep is the way to go. All the questions in Gleim are exactly the same as on the test. It even set up the same. Definitely worth every penny.

Congratulations bruh!!! That is a huge lift of your shoulders brother!! Congratulations man. Kings is outdated, that's the issue. Sheppard for everything else 💯.
You got the checkride man. Just remember DPE wants to see that you are safe.
Make sure you are vocal in the plane. Everything you do say it out loud, even if you are correcting for attitude or altitude. He or she cant read your mind so be vocal. That was one of the best advice I got from my instructor. The DPE mentioned in my feedback.
    Once again congrats man.

I used Sportys Learn to Fly course to study for my private pilot written exam and I got 92% on my exam. Sportys does really good at updating their practice test questions, it was so close to the real exam. I took Sportys practice test several times until I was consistently getting over 90%, so I knew that I would pass when I took the real exam.

Gleim is the way. I made a 97% on my PAR and I used Sheppard air for IR 97% as well. I used Gold seal for ground school and it was the same as king with your experience. It was useful for general info but I don’t recall getting one question from their practice written on my actual written.

1000% use Sheppard Air for your Instrument written test. I got a 97% and there was only one or two questions I didn't recognize. Plus its only $50 dollars. Completely worth every penny. Everyone I talk to recommends this ground school as well to pass the test. Only draw back is that it doesn't teach you the content just how to pass the test.

I like Goldseal for Private and Instrument. Working on instrument right now. Did Goldseal only for my private and got a 90% on the PAR written… and that played a big roll into my oral for PAR checkride… took 45 mins. I used the course even after the written to help study for the checkride… and I think having the initial goal of understanding the content instead of just studying to pass a written is key.
So after I finish Goldseal for Instrument ground, I’ll do test prep with Sheppard Air (simply a test prep supplement), but only after I feel like I understand the concepts fully. Then I will take my written… and then continue to use Goldseal as a study guide up to my IR checkride.

Also something I forgot to mention, that the questions are all based out of the “airman knowledge testing supplement for sport pilot, recreational pilot, remote pilot, and private pilot” book.
DEF get this book because that’s what they use are reference for every question.
