Draenei are already in the game and blizz added Lightforged Draenei (dranei descendents with golden cosmetics, give me a break) Nothing is out of the realm of possibility and there are TONS of Vrykul civilizations across Northrend and even in small outlets in other regions. Just because humans are descended from them doesn't mean they can't work together if the living Vrykul band under a leader that makes them join one (or both) factions. But if your just strictly speaking about Blizz... Yeah, probably not. Playable Neurbians would be fun too with the new inclusions, but we'll never see anything that isn't just some weird re flavoured version of a race we've already been playing for years.
You talk about the High elves for the Alliance as an allied race to compensate with the Haranir in Midnight, but there's a perfect candidate for the Horde just a bit South of Quel'thalas : The Forest Trolls of the Revantusk tribe, they even have their own capital in the form of Jintha'alor ! Another potential allied race that's begged to be played by a portion of the community. High Elves and Forest Trolls are beefing since the very first Warcraft after all !
I mean towelliee and a couple of other streamers who have deep connections with blizzard have always steered away from questions like "are the earthen the only allied race we're getting this expansion" but after awhile they started saying "i cant say who or what we're getting but we're getting more races" and so im assuming with them showing these guys we'll most likely get them as an allied race come season 2 of WW.
Wow itself has said the next allied race is the Earthen which is another dwarven race . Honestly I wish it was this Race though . We have enough Dwarven races already , we need something different and unique like the Harronir.
I really just wanna see a new race every expansion. Its just so fun to have more characters and I don't think it takes blizzard too much effort to add them
Another "same as others" race. I wanted sethraks. I wanted nerubians. I wanted nagas. Something different. Dracthyr was on right direction, they just need to add that they can switch on any race
I like anything that's not Orc, (Mecha)Gnome, Vulpera or (HM)Tauren. And - I absolutely love (Z)Trolls, Kul Tirans, Pandarens and Nightborne Elfs. So this will be fun if will be playable some day.
If you‘re referring to the Nightborn, I feel like they fit the Horde. They have a very close history with fell magic like the Orcs and Blood Elves and of course they are very similar to the Blood Elves in terms of their mana addiction. Also Blood Elves do make sense to be in the Horde with their connection to Sylvanas, humans kinda having caused the destruction of the High Elven kingdom and destruction of the Sunwell and later on Jaina‘s blind rage in Dalaran where she killed so many Blood Elf civilians
I was completely convinced that the Mogu were gonna become allied races, with that new faction of them that was added at the end of BFA, and even the first female one.
As much as I would love it I doubt Sethrak were ever destined to be an allied race. I think the helmet issue alone would be enough to guarantee it wont happen but there's also the problem of massive shoulder clipping problems unless all shoulders were seriously shrunk down but then again they didn't give a crap about any of those issues with Dracthyr. They also seem more like a horde race but given they're an enemy of Vulpera they'd have to be alliance and I don't think that would go down well. Honestly I'd take bare bones Sethrak, barely any customisation, helmets don't show etc and I'd still be happy because the base model itself is so unique.
I'll be real, I think whats gonna happen is in a patch, we'll get Harronir and Arathi as allied raced (H)arronir for the (H)orde (A)rathi for the (A)lliance.
I suspect the Taunka would have been playable if Allied Races existed when they were recruited into the Horde - and they are just bison-headed tauren, and so would fit alongside the existing Cow and Elk varieties.
Personally this is what I think will happen. The trolls will be made neutral so across both factions, I feel they are trying to steer more towards that neutral side so they can be played on both, since shadowlands going into dragon isles, it’s less work for them to create heritage armor by making it just one faction that can go to both factions, and it would appease both factions that have that more want for trolls in alliance and horde, which is a niche corner honestly. Arathi, I personally will say they won’t be an allied race but instead they may incorporate more customisations to the human race to allow for more from getting close to that arathi look. As for high elf’s I get it, but I personally feel they won’t add more elves to the game by added the high elf’s to it, I think personally they will allow more customization to the Void elf’s to give them a few more blood elf hairs to bring them closer to the high elf’s, which would suck, but I don’t see them adding the high elf’s over not unless they take a drastic change in the war within to really make them different from Blood elf’s and void elf’s. The one worry I hope they don’t do is change how the dwarfs are and have them be Alliance and make the trolls horde by making a cop out like that, honestly both being neutral would be for the best, at this point I feel.
I think Sethrak should come with the Vulperas. They gave the Mechagnomes to the Alliance, a race that isn't played so much and is said to be forgotten.
No idea why people keep suggesting Sethrak for the alliance. A shamanistic race that spends most of its time in bfa with the horde player and lives on the zandalari and vulperas doorstep. It doesnt make sense.
Bro I just want Naga to be a Playable! There's so much story in itself that could be told of like a Naga Faction who don't want to be associated with Queen Azshara and decide to try their luck reconnecting with the other Elf Races. For Night Elves it could be a similar conflict they had with Night Elf Mages but amped up cause the Naga have usually been associated with Queen Azshara for as long as the Night Elves could remember. For the Blood Elves there could be a muddied relationship to as the last time Blood Elves worked with the Naga we ended up with Kael'thas Sunstrider who was nearly successful in bringing Kil'Jaden into Azeroth during The Burning Crusade. I'd love for the Naga to be a playable race and have to see what exactly these Playable Naga have to do in order to be able make amends to their Elven kin. But we currently are living in times where Blizzard's story telling is either really good or dumpster fire.
There is always a chance they will join the alliance and the night elves depending on if the worship elune... and then the horde gets the Amani Trolls since they are going to be in the center of the elf reunion arc apparantly... Personally I'd like to see these. Horde: Gnolls - counterpart to the worgen, fits well in the horde theme in terms of a savage but potentially nobel race depending on tribe Mok'nathal- They're already in the horde, and are mentioned during the orc heirtage armor quest The Amani - Big beefy troll warrior, please Naga: See the alliance Section Satyr: See the naga section in the alliance section, section-ception Alliance: Naga - Repenting for their sins with the night-elves, they could go to the horde due to the nightborne but I feel like their bestial appearance would look good guarding the waters around our new world tree as well as bolster the forces of the night elves given how depleted they are High Elves: I mean... they're right there? They've been there. Just let it happen, give those who want them the option. ( You did it for mecha-gnome despite no one wanting them.) Dryads: Again they're right there... make it so they can transform like the dracthyr to a more human form when on mounts. Boom. Repenting Satyr: See the naga Vrykul: Please let the alliance have them, give them the big ol'vikings Neutral races: Harronir: I can see them on both sides Drakonid: Please let us have these, at this point it seems like a crime
Love this comment, very comprehensive! Since gnolls got their model update, I've thought something similar. Moknathal are sweet, and better than just ogres in my opinion. If the Amani thing is true, it would be interesting. For Naga, like I mentioned in the video, they've got a huge following and have had one for years. I don't know if its inevitable, but we'll see come Midnight probably. Satyrs are not a pick I see often, and Vrykul would be wild, though I can see how their size might be problematic. I wouldn't want Drakonid if I could make my dracthyr have a body shape at least a little closer to a drakonid, but otherwise I don't see them really becoming a thing. I will die on the High Elf hill, and with how Harronir have been received, its probably just a matter of time
There isn't going to be anymore "faction" base races cause blizzard is gonna remove the "faction" restrictions come Midnight or Last Titan meaning every race is going to be "neutral" the war between the alliance and horde is over it concluded in BFA. Plus I believe after the last titan we're gonna be leaving "Azeroth" cause it's going to be to unstable to stay and live on after Azeroth's awakening and the war with the void lords. I'm believing after the last titan we're going to be introduce to the first ones(the creators of all the universes) and we're going to be going to another universe or something
@@Titan.Fox56 Im pretty sure at the end of the last titan the game either goes into maitenance mode or they reveal WoW "2" in whatever form that takes. I hope not... but thats how these expansions seem to be set up.
The only way I see the Harronir being faction-exclusive is if they are opposite the Arathi halfelves, and the Arathi halfelves joining Turalyon's Alliance might not even be unreasonable. That said, I have been imagining the Harronir as undertrolls up to now - so them being related to the Elf expansion specifically is an interesting thought. Would the Arathi halfelves will also be a significant part of Midnight, I wonder-- even though I imagine the Arathi are being saved for after the World Soul Saga. I was definitely one of the people who was hyped for the Sethrak, but I honestly never got the vibe that they had a significant relationship with the Alliance. For me, I would put the Sethrak, Naga and Rajani Mogu on a list of candidates for neutral playable races - and with the cross-faction situation, I really hope we get more Neutral options going forward.
That would be interesting. I would prefer if half orc Draenei had a unique model or at least enough new features to make them look different. For Mok nathal, we've got Rexxar as a model to work off of, so that would be cool for sure
some other races i thought FOR SURE would become playable were the Ankoan and The Unshackled Gilblins of Nazjatar. very disappointed in the lack of fish people
I personally think we got high elfs from them finally adding customizations with the void elfs that would call them a 'high' elf. I honestly would love them to add more customizations... like.. give the allied races the customizations from the og races! i want blood elf stuff for my void elf! they were blood elfs before turning void! XD but i am on the train that wished Sethrak were a allied race. i do hope we get these porcupine people at least make them neutral like the dumb stone dwarfs XD
Elves being magically evolved trolls is such a bad retcon and really cheapens their existence. The haranir are just James Cameron's Na'vi, they even act the same.
High Elves is the name for Blood Elves before the slaughter by Arthas. Blood Elves are what remained of the High Elves that simply renamed themselves. They are not seperate races.
We need it like this; Horde: - Ogre - Lightforged Undead? - Mogu - Taunka Alliance: - Vrykul - Krokul - Jinyu - Frostborn (Yes yet another Dwarf, we all know blizzard loves to give us what we don't want.) Neutral: - Ethereal - Tuskarr - Drakonid - Harronir
my problem with the high elves being an allied race is it will feel toe steepy in the current game, same with the earthen where they shouldn't have been dwarves but something more akin to the warforged from dungeons and dragons, perhaps similar in appearance to the robots that make up the base forms of the jailer etc. and then encrust them with the gems etc. in the current game I dont see a good way to not just have them relegated to either void elf customisation options or just another 'reskinned race'
Ethereals were always my second favorite option for a new race after Arakkoa, but custumization would be so bad no one would play, but hey, we got Dracthyr with that lame armor customization.
the nightelve worgen would be logic because the night elves were the wirst ones who became worgen through a druid form that was then banned but then that worgen guy from silverpine forest (forgot his name) summoned the worgen from the realm they were banished to so yeah nelf worgen would be possible
I love the harronir. The jungle trolls- some people call them. I would love to have them as a customization option or as a race. I would love to be a Druid Harronir. We don’t have a lot of Druid races.
I'm very curious, how will the harronir story go. For now they seem to be very mysterious, they even don't like talk much about themselves. I hope they will be the new allied race.
We aren't ever gonna get a separate (allied) race for high elves, they gave us the eye color as an option to shut us up and make us happy. Tbh i'm fine leaving it like that as well.
I have a feeling Harronir will be going to Horde while the Ararthi will be joining the Alliance, while the Earthen even things out by being a neutral allied race which I think is a neat idea in and of itself. I'm very much hoping that in Midnight we get High Elves for Alliance and Ogres for Horde. Both have been long requested and while the expansion will be very Elf-centric, it feels like there could and should be more to it than that. Edit: And my dream race would be a neutral allied Nerubians. Maybe with a transformation gimmick like the Dracthyr. I've always loved them since WC3. I doubt we'll get them now but perhaps they could show up again in The Last Titan, which we know is taking place in Northrend. Now that Blizzard has the tech they need to make underground zones, I think we could see them revisit creating Azjol-Nerub like how they'd originally wanted to during WotLK.
I'm not sure we'll get Arathi just yet. I have a feeling Blizz are saving the majority of Arathi related stuff for probably after the World Soul Saga, because their empire doesn't sound like something that will want to get along with us. The ones we meet now will be mostly friendly, sure, but we'll probably have to fight their Emperor later.
@@Naszubro You could be right on that. I could also see Harronir being neutral since they have both Troll and Night Elven traits, so presumably they could feel a kinship with both.
I feel like they should add other Allied races before. We have a lot of potential candidates in Northrend and Pandaria for example, that are already part of the Alliance and Horde and are not playable yet. I think adding those would also have made more sense than adding the Earthen for example
nah for right now in this moment earthern obcioulsz make waz more sense cause of current relevancy but what ur trying to say and zou would be right is that they are long over due and should be iomplemented asap...but then again you forge tthat this is a product that makes money by dripfeeding us content...so in a nutshell....patience son....
Maybe having a full allied race for the Northrend recruits would be a bit overkill. But, I'd like a Barber option for Tauren to have a Tanka head, and for Dwarves to have Frostborn blue skin option.
We can do "High Elves" with Void Elfs... this is why they did the customization for them. Harronir will be Alliance allied race, and Earthen will be Horde... I don't think Blizz would give a 3rd dwarf race to the Alliance and a 3rd troll-like race to the Horde... that would be really dumb... I think now the Horde will get a dwarf, and Alliance a troll, which in my opinion would be the best option for not only the players, but Blizzard too! (They won't have to listen to people crying about "why make allied races if you just put a variation of other races to the same Faction?")
your logic is flawed and from the perspective of someone who just plays the game while skipping all text and cinematics or just doesnt have a good grasp on lore in general...thez already had to really reach and bend in a few previous cases to make it possible and appease your logic...which in general is tottally warrented but oftentimes clashes or outright incompatible with lore and such...and many people care for this...n
I personally no longer believe they are halfway between elves and trolls. I think their druid patrons are Agamaggan and Hir'eek. Kind of like how Goldrinn influenced the form of the Worgen. The Quillboar on the other hand are thought to be literal descendants of Agamaggan.
I think they are going to be horde. Just as the Alliance was given the Void Elves so that they could have a model similar to the Blood Elves, now they are going to give the Horde a model similar to the Night Elves.
Alliance mains gonna revolt if we get fricken high elves and not the Harronir, void elves are literally high elves but cooler, we would be getting the same thing essentially
I'm down but it's gonna depend on their animations. I find that most allied races have very stiff animations (N Borne, Z Trolls, Boralus Human- everything else is taking exact base model animations). I hope that won't be the case with the Harronir.
Ill hold the torch for the Sethrak. We got cheated.

I swear to Elune, if we don't get Harronir. Or if we do get Harronir, and they're not neutral...and the Alliance just gets High Elves, I'm going to physically picket Blizzard.
inb4 blizzard adds more dwarf reskins
Horde only
@@stephenweinelt1175 they honestly don't make any sense as a Horde only option, espeacially when the faction conflict has started back up yet.
@@Tumblebrine frost dwarfs coming in last titan
Now that we're all one big, happy family, it would make sense they would be either, like the dracthyr. Can't we all just get along?!?
Harronir seem more like Trolls who have been mixed with Kaldorei. Getting a real Na'vi vibe from the trailer we see.
i mean elves are descendant from trolls
@@vhaelen326 True. Just never say it to the elves; liable to take off our heads, they are! 🤣🤣
@@vhaelen326 a retconned that still is hated by most elven players
I was going to say, they give me 'dark elf' precusor night elf vibes... Darker skin tones, elf-like ears & eyes, but still 'primal' and somehow quilboar related. idk. Feels like a cheap cop out to not give us strictly dark elves or strictly quilboar. Here's this weird mutant troll w/ cosmetics to make it look more like a furry quilboar.
@@ahealthkit2745 ya they look weird the closes thing to dark elves your going to get in wow is the blood elves the darkerr skin tone. dark elves are suppose to be tanned normal elves but say that to the wrong person today and some how your a rac*ist.
All I want is have my forsaken straightened a bit.
and humans need to be able to hunch also. to make an old wizard :)
The forsaken need to visit the same chiropractor that helped out the orcs
@@Naszubro Yeah, that'd be the best solution for blizzard as well. Other thing I'd come up with is stop creating the gear only on the human model. Other races look warped at times. But that'd be too much work for them I reckon ^^
Them and the trolls..i just want a tall troll male char..
I wish any race could become forsaken. Join us in undeath!
I want to see Valkyr and Vrykul as playable.
yeeeeees
i wanna play a giant paladin dommy mommy
Valkyr are not in the realm of possibility, we already play as Vrykul descendants (Humans)
But no, neither is happening. Ever.
@@Setuaro People said the same about worgen pre-cata. People didn't even consider the possibility of getting chubby & skinny humans as a race with a new druid form before Kul''tirans were added. Draenei are already in the game and blizz added Lightforged Draenei (dranei descendents with golden cosmetics, give me a break)
Nothing is out of the realm of possibility and there are TONS of Vrykul civilizations across Northrend and even in small outlets in other regions.
Blizzard should start making these new races neutral
I wanna play a Harronir sooo bad!
Don't worry, I'm sure Blizz already knows how well received they are, we will probably get them sooner rather than later :)
Why? Theyre basically a hairy troll
@@stormk-1130 trolls are fun these just add some spice
Great video man, congrats!
"and we would have the long awaited... High elfs" THE NAGA ARE RIGHT THERE!!!
Seriously.... like really? Calling another elf race unique lol
Yep id love to play this race for sure
Harronir = Dark Elves pre Sundering
Arathi are a customization in barber shop you can add elf ears on humans and kul tirians. Arathi are just like bretons in eso part elf mostly human
I want Sethrak too :(
The Dracthyr need their own allied race the Drakonid.
I'm not coming back until Venthyr are playable.
lmao thats never going to happen.
in other words: never
@@TQV3 💯
I am past windrunner fatigue, at this point its elf exhaustion. Elves and elf players get the rope
This is the perfect solution if you want to play an elf, and a troll, but only got time for one... 😀
I would love to see naga playable especially with Midnight coming out in a couple year. High elves are also on my list as well.
I like anything that's not Orc, (Mecha)Gnome, Vulpera or (HM)Tauren.
And - I absolutely love (Z)Trolls, Kul Tirans, Pandarens and Nightborne Elfs. So this will be fun if will be playable some day.
I feel like if the devs REALLY felt that the Horde absolutely needed elves, then THIS is what they should have gotten.
I was completely convinced that the Mogu were gonna become allied races, with that new faction of them that was added at the end of BFA, and even the first female one.
screw earthen. It's just another dwarf. Give us the bat-boar-elf-troll thing.
so glad i wasn't the only one disappointed that sethrak got shafted
High Elf, Naga, Sethrak and the worgan night elves. i too will die on this hill.
I want forest trolls the perfect mix of troll and orc
I'll be real, I think whats gonna happen is in a patch, we'll get Harronir and Arathi as allied raced
(H)arronir for the (H)orde
(A)rathi for the (A)lliance.
imagine wat kind of druid forms they can be 😍
I suspect the Taunka would have been playable if Allied Races existed when they were recruited into the Horde - and they are just bison-headed tauren, and so would fit alongside the existing Cow and Elk varieties.
what re the shoulders of your character called?
Exists a possibility that Ascended Nerubians are also a playable race, you must have to see they facial details
And Naga or Fishman in future expansion
kobolds>harronir
Man i want playable Tortollans. They look so cool.
Haronir and High Elves for sure!
We are getting Ethereals as a playable race in 11.2
Bro I just want Naga to be a Playable!
I’m still bitter the horde got the Nightborne, there is no way I’m gonna stand for only them getting the Harronir too
we still want orges , sethrakk ,saberon , tusker, gnoll, naga etc there is alot of potential allied races we would love in wow
I personally would like to see the ascended nurubians as a playable race
There is always a chance they will join the alliance and the night elves depending on if the worship elune... and then the horde gets the Amani Trolls since they are going to be in the center of the elf reunion arc apparantly...
Personally I'd like to see these.
Horde:
Gnolls - counterpart to the worgen, fits well in the horde theme in terms of a savage but potentially nobel race depending on tribe
Mok'nathal- They're already in the horde, and are mentioned during the orc heirtage armor quest
The Amani - Big beefy troll warrior, please
Naga: See the alliance Section
Satyr: See the naga section in the alliance section, section-ception
Alliance:
Naga - Repenting for their sins with the night-elves, they could go to the horde due to the nightborne but I feel like their bestial appearance would look good guarding the waters around our new world tree as well as bolster the forces of the night elves given how depleted they are
High Elves: I mean... they're right there? They've been there. Just let it happen, give those who want them the option. ( You did it for mecha-gnome despite no one wanting them.)
Dryads: Again they're right there... make it so they can transform like the dracthyr to a more human form when on mounts. Boom.
Repenting Satyr: See the naga
Vrykul: Please let the alliance have them, give them the big ol'vikings
Neutral races:
Harronir: I can see them on both sides
Drakonid: Please let us have these, at this point it seems like a crime
We might get mok nathal orcs & half orc draenei In the future because they both showed up in the Heritage armor quest for each race
That would be interesting. I would prefer if half orc Draenei had a unique model or at least enough new features to make them look different. For Mok nathal, we've got Rexxar as a model to work off of, so that would be cool for sure
I hope Alliance gets High Elves, and I finally get my Amani trolls in midnight.
Missed opportunity to get the bird people from Outlands and Draenor by now.
I agree on the Sethrak tho.
If Alliance gets High Elves. Horde should get humans.
I kind of wish that they had made the Drak Thir more like the Drakkin from EQ. Human type body, tats to reflect which dragon 'parent' you followed.
My undead will become a elf in 2 years
some other races i thought FOR SURE would become playable were the Ankoan and The Unshackled Gilblins of Nazjatar. very disappointed in the lack of fish people
I personally think we got high elfs from them finally adding customizations with the void elfs that would call them a 'high' elf.
Yes i want those Trelfs.
We need it like this;
Horde:
- Ogre
- Lightforged Undead?
- Mogu
- Taunka
Alliance:
- Vrykul
- Krokul
- Jinyu
- Frostborn (Yes yet another Dwarf, we all know blizzard loves to give us what we don't want.)
Neutral:
- Ethereal
- Tuskarr
- Drakonid
- Harronir
While we are making wishes, I'll take a human shaman with tank spec, thanks.
I´d love to see ethereals as a playable race.
all i want is a skinny humanoid body for my rogue, thin kultiran !!!!
my problem with the high elves being an allied race is it will feel toe steepy in the current game, same with the earthen where they shouldn't have been dwarves but something more akin to the warforged from dungeons and dragons, perhaps similar in appearance to the robots that make up the base forms of the jailer etc. and then encrust them with the gems etc.
in the current game I dont see a good way to not just have them relegated to either void elf customisation options or just another 'reskinned race'
Alliance would get the aquarium elves, also known as Jinyu.
bro i cant be the only one who want to play ethereal
They would definitely be a cool addition!
I feel we are going to get vampire trolls and vampire humans.
This is the race i always wantaed
Damn giving Zandalari a run for it's money but I want a half giant like Rexxar but shit I mainly want a new class that is interesting.
I personally want to see the vampire race as playable or maybe gargoyles.
*cries in wanting playable vrykul*
I actually kind of disike elves, but I like the haranir. They're what I _wish_ night elves were.
Bloody hell did we need more elves xD
I totally thought Sethrak would be horde and Vulpera would be alliance when I first saw them
PLEASE I NEED THEM 😭
I wish the Night Elves had this body model
I think they are going to be horde. Just as the Alliance was given the Void Elves so that they could have a model similar to the Blood Elves, now they are going to give the Horde a model similar to the Night Elves.
they do look like the missing link for troll to elf
trolls+well = nelf (arcane imbued) trolls+elunahir= harronir (nature imbued)
Alliance mains gonna revolt if we get fricken high elves and not the Harronir, void elves are literally high elves but cooler, we would be getting the same thing essentially
I'm down but it's gonna depend on their animations. I find that most allied races have very stiff animations (N Borne, Z Trolls, Boralus Human- everything else is taking exact base model animations). I hope that won't be the case with the Harronir.
