So glad to have a new video from you ! There was apparently some "leaks" that showed that there was another zone planned for the release of the expansion that was planned to be after Hallowfall and before Azj Kahet named "Rootlands" (the name was a WIP at that time). It was back when it was only in developpement but it's almost sure to me that we're going there soon with all the details you've highlighted in this video + this "rootlands" dating back from when it was in developpment
Another glaring difference between the Breakers and the Territorial Deepwalker is that the deepwalker has two eyes compared to the one of the Breakers. That suggests to me that the Breakers are descended from the Gronn while the deepwalkers share origins with the troll/haronir line and the similarity between the two is convergent evolution rather than a shared origin.
Yeah, just seems like a model reuse to me. Isn't the first time two completely unrelated races are close/identical in appearance and it probably won't be the last.
No idea how likely it really is that Blizz had such a grand plan for a pet they all but handed out randomly. *But fuck, I want it so much.* All of this is so so so very much my vibe, Torcali was always one of my fave loa, and I adore absolutely everything about the Haranir from the very beginning (when they were still called Harronir... rip @ the superior spelling). Also the Deepgrove stuff is just genius full stop. If the Rootlands' official name will indeed be Deepgrove, I will never doubt you again!!! Now excuse me, I have some things to watch... but only after rewatching this video and crying 😭😭
It seems more likely that the Briarhorn pet was originally intended to be somewhere else and happened to get cut before release (perhaps there were supposed to be briarhorns in the Emerald Dream, before they decided the stony look didn't really match the theming), but the connections between the Legend of Elun'ahir and this expansion are pretty solid (the book being added in 10.2). Even if TWW doesn't end up with a Deepgrove as a playable zone (though there have been leaks that say a future patch will "make heavy reuse of assets from 10.2"), it's likely we will see it in some capacity before the end of the expansion.
I've been expecting your another video my friend. However, I will wait to watch it tonight, in peace and quiet after a glass of whiskey. It will be a beautiful moment indeed.

OMG how i haven't reached your channel yet. Loved the video! What do you think might be Xal''atath's part in all this speculative zone? Corrupt and extract the essence of life off the roots?
Thanks for popping in! I actually have a feeling that Xal'atath's role in TWW is mostly wrapped up, as we were told by Metzen that she'll appear throughout the Saga and not be a one-and-done. Meaning, she can't really be the villain of every patch without that getting repetitive very quickly! We can speculate based on the prepatch campaign that she will appear in Zul'Aman for Quel'thalas and Ulduar for Northrend. I imagine whatever has been started by Xal already with the Black Blood/Nerubians will have a lasting effect we have to visit Deepgrove for, and I do still think Goblins and Undermine play a role in TWW. So, maybe not much room left for Xal directly!
Great video. If this was presented by Bellular or Taliesin I would have passed out before making it halfway through, but you kept yours entertaining and knowledgeable. 👌
yo xaxxas, I have been reading through the artifact tomes in the order halls once more in order to refresh myself, and the lore on the holy priest artifact T'uure has some very interesting details I thought you should know if you didn't already. T'uure destroyed itself in a holy nova to free a planet named Karkora from the void AND dimensious the all-devouring. Long story short the naaru scattered the pieces of T'uure, sending one to Argus for the Eredar, the description of this piece arriving on Argus is as follows: "It is said that this artifact plummeted from the sky like a falling star. Night turned to day, and T'uures glorious light painted the heavens in shades of gold for a full week"
Great video. I think this Deepgrove zone might be the final new zone of the expansion, and will be the region surrounding the Worldsoul itself that Xal'atath will make an attempt to conquer.
I love the connection back to the roots surrounding Azeroth. It might even be plausible we may get a taste of the Drust again, as their whole culture requires roots and thorns to fashion their Constructs. Furthermore, they were also introduced in the same expansion that brought back the Quillboar to the forefront of storytelling, with Drustvar and Stormsong. Given its implied quite heavily that the Coreway leads directly downwards to, most likely, another facility of the Titans, which has now been made inaccessible, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the future patches of TWW is us, the Heroes, having to go the roundabout way which means we get to explore other subregions of Azeroth. I'd also laugh my head off if your teased leaks content actually does pay off down the track. I'm in awe of your editing skills. That Deepgrove edit of the Khaz Algar map was perfect.
After being big into speculation during WoD and being completely disappointed, I'm not sure I can truly believe Blizzard's "hints" will ever go anywhere. That said, given how well thought out this theory is, I really do hope you're right about it.
One thing that makes me think this is REALLY damn likely. We've found datamined stuff that suggests an upcoming Goblin raid. I think the Venture Company is going to find the Deepgrove and try to stripmine it, and we have to stop them to save the Harronir. If that happens, Blizzard will make EVERY SINGLE REFERENCE AND JOKE FOR JAMES CAMERON'S AVATAR THEY POSSIBLY CAN, which makes me think its actually very good odds for happening as that is 100% on brand for Blizz.
pretty compelling since when i flew up to those roots when i was playing today i was given a fade out to my toon being back on the ground. very much you are not supose to be here "yet"
You do a great job with these visuals, and uh... it'd be cool if you did a non-speculative video covering all the KNOWN species/races and their confirmed progenitors/creators.... and then you can follow it up with, or include, speculation along with them! Ideally, a visual tree of ancestors and relationships.
I have always wanted for Aggamagan to have a more important role, him and the quilboars could finally become more than just punching bags. Edit : This could also be a perfect time to reintroduce the concept of the breakers and botani, even if it's in a different form, that whole concept was very interesting.
This got me curious to actually try to match up the maps and everything to try to see where the roots in the spider zone would actually be on the surface if it led somewhere and shockingly it is WAY south of the main land so if there actually was somewhere those thorns went we actually cannot go far enough atm to see them. Thankfully each zone has 2 connection points at least to other zones making it possible to line everything up. Same with the Crystal in Hallowfall. It is way to the south to the point we cannot currently get there.
So Eonars Tears made the Roots grow even when Amanthul destroyed the tree. Elune is still a pretty big Mystery, we literally only learned that she was a sentient being in Shadowlands. But what her nature is is still kinda unknown. The Winterqueen calls her Sister but what that means is a Mystery, since the Winterqueen is a construct. From my guess, it will probaby be the Trunk of the Tree, a Lake of Eonars tears probably and a sizable amount of proto life forms or maybe titanic constructs. Its also not unlikely that the Black Blood is also invading that spot and we have to stop that.
your videos are amazing! do more topics! this goblin voice!!! WAIT BIG QUESTION THO: why are goblins in the new spider zone? what goblins know about collecting azerite and now in spider zone looking for what?
Maybe the haronir are experiments from the titans with the world breakers we see in Azj Kahet and Order and Life Magic from Eonar. But how ever its interesting when you think about the haronir as the servants of Eonar whom were crated to protect and nurish the roots. Even after they got their fair share of the gift of flesh. And think about th purpose of the tree and the roots that are left. They don't have a real purpose anymore since the black blood is so potent in that region.
@@KagroshTV Orweyna does make it sound like the Black Blood shifting loose could be quite problematic, compared to any other 'threats' that we might worry about, which she claims have never been a concern for the Roots in the same way the experiments with the Black Blood may be.
@@_xaxxas I also think that it is the real threat that Xala'that has been preparing all this time after the fall of Nyalotha. If you look at the characters she offers an alliance or power to, they are all just pawns in her chess game. I suspect that in Ulduar, Yogg Sarron is also looking forward to our anger. That the emotions from the soul strengthen the old gods (and now their blood). When we come into contact with the blood in Azj Kahet, we see that many of Xala'that's servants are in this "intermediate dimension (Nether?)". If she now gathers her troops in the dimension at strategic points in Azeroth and then strikes later at the right time, I would also say that this is the real threat. She also says that after the dark heart was destroyed, it would not change anything. Perhaps we will see an invasion of these forces in the old world in the next big patch. Besides the Rootlands, of course! I just don't feel like being restricted to one area again like in Korthia or Zaralek. :D
7:13 what if the main idea of Pandaria Remix was seeing the lore again for prepare to a next patch where we see more lore about this world tree?. also i love your goblin voice its funny xD
I like your depiction of the Rootlands! More dinosaurs are always good. I would also add that there’s a strong chance at least part of the Rootlands is corrupted by the Unseeming, much like maddening deeps. Orweyna seemed pretty concerned about it. Ooh, if we got Old God corrupted dinosaurs I would be extremely excited…
@blainev1596 I have a hope/hunch that the Deepgrove/Roots and the Undersea/Unseeming might be two halves of the same zone too! But I admit that hinges on my desire for a full Undermine zone as well- when it's possible the Undersea could end up being its own thing.
Theres orange leafed thorny plants underwater in hallowfall as well, considering the tie in with the suspicious fish, i definitely think the sea in hallowfall is the scar from y'sharaj/elune'ahir was ripped out
It definitely gets spicy suggesting the Well of Eternity came from a separate event and not Yshaarj! I say that mostly because the roots in Khaz Algar come from the opposite direction of The Maelstrom. What do you think caused the Well of Eternity wound?
I had a thought... what if the Arathi Empire is underground? What if they're on the other side of the planet - but below the ground. So historical in-game 3D projections aren't wrong - it is ocean if you sail east of the Eastern Kingdoms, there's just a huge subterranean continent. The Arathi use airships to attack their enemies because territories in their world are separated by a subterrain Australian Outback or the Wild West, instead of an ocean. Maybe the ocean is above them - magically suspended. The pitchdark bottom of the abyss is their sky.
the briarhorn hatchling was a mechanical battle pet for almost a year, then before the end of dragonflight it was changed to a beast type pet. (blizzard almost never adjusts battle pets like this)
your videos are so cool! and your goblin voice!!! TELL US MORE!!! you have me reading journals in game and little flavor text on interactives. still want to watch the arrokoa movie..... from the 80s? what was the movie again? bird people?
Interesting that Khaz Algar has other creatures like Ramoliths and Mosswool that are a combination of stone and living flesh like these direhorn seem to be.
Agamaggan and the Quilboar always reminds me of the Boar Clan from Princess Mononoke. The Boar god turns into a demon when influenced by the destruction of man, he gets shot by a cannon and it poisons his mind with evil. Of course Agamaggan was a total chad who kicked some legion ass and died a hero but there could be another boar wild god perhaps?
🤯 You've opened some doors in my noggin with this comment and I've been meaning to finally see Princess Mononoke for quite some time anyhow! Thanks for watching!
The Utopian Tabard is just the reaction to the Classic Server Tabard people got to buy to catch up on storm peak reputation (frost giants) and since this tabard didnt exist before they added it this way in retail too. So I would not count it as a teaser for earthern i'd argue
great video. I am not convinced the Haranir are Trollls at all. I'm more in line with the idea of them being Quilboar evolved. they have Quils tusks, quilboar ears and body hair. Throw in the fact that they are slightly more aggressive and in line culturally more with Quilboars and their history. They are commonly associated with Geomancy too.
I'm likely to make a follow-up video about the Haranir/Quill connection, and more focus on Quillboars. For a hint as to what that's about, peep the last image at 14:15 🐗
Referencing your Old Gods video from a few weeks ago now that I’m binging these. Do you think that because kobolds are aware of the eternal darkness and that their addiction to candles has a basis. If a force managed to pluck out the “sun” of Azeroth kobolds would be willing to come fully out of hiding and ally with the alliance and horde to defeat the darkness? Giving ground for a playable kobold race?
@bobbyr5536 that's a really fun idea! 😁 imagine a Kobold getting the final blow on Xal’atath as revenge for 'taking the candle.' 🕯 And thank you for checking out the channel!
If I’m not mistaken trolls are one of the few natural inhabitants of Azeroth and have been fighting the nerubians for fucking ever, and that the high elves were just mutated trolls who stumbled across the font of eternity and got changed by the overflowing magic coming from it.
Since Chronicle Vol 1 anyhow, it was left unclear or suggested that they didn't evolve until after the Ordering of Azeroth and building of the Well of Eternity was complete. So they were alleged to be a naturally evolved race in a post-titan ordered world. That's why I suppose the idea that Wild Gods and Elun'Ahir mixed with the Deepwalkers could have merit, since we know Dark Trolls seemed to come from caves.
My theory is that Azeroth at some point in time has been more or less ruled by each of the cosmic forces and we as a player are living in the era of order, or the era just after order. Some eras might not have happened yet even. When the npcs refers to cycles, this is actually what they mean. Either death or shadow would be the black empire era. Life might have been something close to emerald dream with the worshipping of wild gods. The troll empire could infact be death era with the worshipping of the Loa.

@@_xaxxas Oh yeah and before I forget... keep up the good work. Love your videos!
7:13 what if the main idea of Pandaria Remix was seeing the lore again for prepare to a next patch where we see more lore about this world tree?. also i love your goblin voice its funny xD
really nice thumbnail images for your vids!
@@_xaxxas Undermine would also be great. Maybe it could be a similar situation to Nazjatar and Mechagon. We’ll see…
It makes sense that they would add a trollish allied race playable for alliance after the introduction of the erthen.
Ooh S2 m+ dungeon pool having refreshed razorfend dungeons.
Makes ya think about the void flower in the emerald dream
Theres orange leafed thorny plants underwater in hallowfall as well, considering the tie in with the suspicious fish, i definitely think the sea in hallowfall is the scar from y'sharaj/elune'ahir was ripped out
It definitely gets spicy suggesting the Well of Eternity came from a separate event and not Yshaarj!
I say that mostly because the roots in Khaz Algar come from the opposite direction of The Maelstrom.
What do you think caused the Well of Eternity wound?
5:15 wait... you created those fake leaks??? thats insane!
the outro definitely sounds like a goblin marketing scheme. 😂
(blizzard almost never adjusts battle pets like this)
@@FlipMethod interesting catch!
your videos are so cool! and your goblin voice!!! TELL US MORE!!! you have me reading journals in game and little flavor text on interactives. still want to watch the arrokoa movie..... from the 80s? what was the movie again? bird people?
@mooCarlie "The Dark Crystal" from 1982 is the one! By the Jim Henson Company. And thank you for the comment!
Interesting that Khaz Algar has other creatures like Ramoliths and Mosswool that are a combination of stone and living flesh like these direhorn seem to be.
Another banger!
If you and Nobbel haven't collaborated yet or had a Lore off, please do!
Goblins gonna excavate us to that zone!
I really hopes that they will give us Harronirs as playable race.
Makes complete sense, didn't we also get a "Rootlands" leak too?
So I would not count it as a teaser for earthern i'd argue
or is it the earthern inside the tabard?^^
Since it's a Sons of Hodir tabard, I actually count it more as a tease for The Last Titan when we return to Northrend.
Really hope they are an allied race and hopefully they can be druids
I feel the deep root will be part of the same patch as the undermine with the deep root being a mechagon type zone and undermine being the Raid zone
imagine you're right, and this is exactly how season 2 goes. that would be so cool
great video.
For a hint as to what that's about, peep the last image at 14:15 🐗
@@_xaxxas looking forward to it!
😁 imagine a Kobold getting the final blow on Xal’atath as revenge for 'taking the candle.' 🕯
And thank you for checking out the channel!
@@_xaxxas ahhh okay, I can see how that can get confusing as naturally evolved on a post titaned world. Wow lore has gotten confusing lol
Would also be reminiscent of Blackreach from the Elder Scrolls or more recently the Underdark from Baldurs Gate 3/Forgotten Realms/D&D.
nice content!
very interesting, thank you
My theory is that Azeroth at some point in time has been more or less ruled by each of the cosmic forces and we as a player are living in the era of order, or the era just after order. Some eras might not have happened yet even. When the npcs refers to cycles, this is actually what they mean.
Either death or shadow would be the black empire era. Life might have been something close to emerald dream with the worshipping of wild gods. The troll empire could infact be death era with the worshipping of the Loa.
@@rasmuskjaerpoulsen Neat thinking!
you should peep the appearance customizations for g'hanir.
My man! I neglected to look into that one so far, but you're so right!
