It would be nice to know when this video was made. Judging by the dry brown grass it would have been in the Capetonian summer (Nov to April ??) but it could of course also have been two years ago (any season) when Cape Town was struggling with a 3-year long drought.
I have always wanted to be a pilot. And i have a few queries. I have myopia and both my eyes exceed power of -3. So like am i gonna have any obstructions in my carrier with this. Like i would like to geniuinely get an answer from someone actually related to aviation who wears glasses, and if it obstructs in his/her carrer by any means. A help would be really appreciated.
D to get your first class medical you’d need 20/20 vision in both eyes with or without corrective lens meaning if your glasses correct your vision to the standard then you’ll pass your first class medical (the eye vision part ofc) and ofc you need your first class medical to fly for the airlines. And yes I also wear glasses and fly. I remember seeing a Emirates pilot in JFK who wore glasses saying the only restrictions he got was that he needed multiple pairs with him in case one breaks so he can maintain the vision requirements
myopia and power of -3 is no problem at all. You just need to be able to see 100% with both eyes corrected as NubRub1 has already mentioned.I have the exact same thing and I got my medical class one in Europe.
This depends on the airlines SOPs. Some pilots don't say "continue" because it already understood that if the Pilot Monitoring (PM) and Pilot Flying (PF) have not called a go around for any reason at minimums then the they are going ahead with the landing so some Pilots feel its not necessary. Personally i feel its always better to say "continue" by the PF and "check" by PM verbally so both pilots know they are in agreement to continue with the landing.

The flight from ZRH to Cape Town is the same distance at Hong Kong. The maps never seem to show that.
What you mean by the maps never seem to show that?
pilots upload your videos about UFOs
Isn't the captain one of the victims of the Ju Air crash HB-HOT in 2018 ? If so he may rest in peace.
Fabi Speri yes, sadly he is :(
Fabi Speri that’s sad 😢 how old is this video then ?
