Open baffle have their own unique sound which to me, is far more natural than any conventional box speaker. Even with very inexpensive drivers, they can sound really nice! I've been doing open baffle since 1994 and could never go back to box speakers for critical listening.
@mfkhometheater7742 Hey friend, where would you point a lower middle class, special education teacher who loves audio but is not super technically minded. I have decent reading comprehension and my brother in law is a competent woodworker. Thanks in advance for your help my friend!
@@Silence-and-ViolenceI am building a pair of open baffle woofers SB bianco 15 OB with an ess AMT on top. Two woofers are €260 and the AMT are €230. The crossover is around 1000hz. Bit lower even. Get a miniDSP for 250 and some second hand amplifiers. Add a bit of wood for the baffle and it can be done quickly. Without the amps you would stay under 1000. Probably way under if you are in the USA. And those should sound wonderful 👍
Great video. Did you just run the cable straight from the driver to the amplifier or did you mount some binding posts on the back somehow? It seems all the binding posts want to be through the box and not open baffle. Thanks!
For those who will build one: one baffle speakers are without back pressure. Meaning, all low frequency content upto 200hz is out of phase and cancellation each other. *Unless, you got very good DSP. You get great sounding speakers without boxy sound issue.*
In low frequency ok, but mid and high will be foggy, not bright at all. the sound quality will depend a lot on your position in relation to the speakers. @@Techscrews
Caution! You should be aware of the fact that connecting two speakers in parallel mode will divide the resulting impedance in half which can easily damage your amplifier! For parallel mode you should use 8 ohm-speakers.

@pt265 what is your system?
"Ask your grandmother". Too funny!
Does a speaker that was made to be an infite baffle work fine for this?
And what about low frequency it will be feed back

😊 open baffle for ever!
Can i do it with all my Woofers, Tweeters
of my JBL L96 Speaker?

AND don't you think that low frequency will be feed back
They look good still
thanks
Nice build👍
Thanks 👍
Now do with esoteric crossovers caps and non inductive resistors.
Why? That is fullrange open baffle, there no need crossovers, that change sound and eat enery from amp.
Please demo the sound quality these speakers with great look. I m from Pakistan Karachi
there is two demo:

Any measurements?
you know that many audiophiles are scared of measurements, just enjoy the music and trust in the placebo effect.
@@Techscrews without measurements usually its technical performance is usually inferior, I am NOT here to judge how you hear your music.
HI Try placing a small aluminium sewing thimble on the dust cover with glue, They will sound fantastic the midrange will burst into life.
Thanks for the tip, but dust cover also is horn for high freq.
@@Techscrews please see how to turn a bass speaker into full range
You cant simply turn bass speaker to good fullrange, physics can't be fooled.
Really? Okay.
@@Rocker6969 hi the dust cap must be hard plastic, place the thimble in the center open end down, sounds amazing.
Guys! never use double full range speakers. Ok?
and spikes will not help you
but why ? I got a much higher spl with the double full range speakers.

Also I am using 2 full range open baffle speakers with small subwoofer. like 2.1 system @@Techscrews
