I've played a full playthrough in the beyond skyrim world, or at least starting there. There used to be a cool alternate start mod that starts you in the bar in bruma, and crossing the border gave you the option to start skyrims intro if you wanted it to, or you could enter legally with a patch mod with the actual alternate start mod, and go to Helgen. I loved having bruma act as an "intro" to skyrim, kind of like a prequel. And then getting caught at the border started skyrim proper.
I don't normally watch vods but I need as much joov content as I can get
Not sure if you already figured this out or not but touching water doesn't actually get rid of Neloth's buff,it only goes away if you enter the swimming animation.
I miss Skyrim so much. I work too much and had to sell my Playstation to get the money to move back home.

Wouldn't have been a bad idea to hire the Merc at the inn in Ravenrock to clear the ruins and collect Azidahl's gear. The boots are first.
Hire the merc to clear out the fort. The guard gives you 10k upon completion. It's worth investing. Enough money to buy good equipment and spells. That merc is a bad ass.

The only two mods he's using is the sunglasses mod and the skyUI, everything else is vanilla if I recall correctly.
I think Beyond Skyrim, skyUI, and sunglasses mod. From what I know
