20 hours is about right. I put in about 40hrs into mine but I had to make 4 pieces. My right side large format tweeter is in the sail and my dash is more oddly shaped, and needed to make a beauty panel on the left side sail as the stock trim tweeter cover sticks out. It's hard to imagine how much work is involved unless you have done something similar. Preparation alone takes hours to get a very good fit without using heaps of filler.
This is outstanding very clean and hardworking dash pods, i can't wait to install my Zapco Z8 II DSP i am big fan of zapco amps and i have been watching your videos before couple months. do you have any tutorial or suggestion about tweeter direction? i bought tweeter pods from Valicar with adjustable ball joint and bought ring radiator ScanSpeak gold edition tweeter
SUBSONIC AUTHORITY hi yes, there is a video about speaker aiming on pillars shared 2-3 years ago on the channel, please scroll down to it, plus check Part 7.1-7.3 & Part 8 in the SQ in car playlist where we cover this topic. 👌
@@pssound9749 Thanks i appreciate your reply i will search for it and thank you for the effort of doing these videos very helpful and mesmerizing setups.
Excellent install, I have a question, I’m running a front stage morel Elate Titanium with a subwoofer supreme titanium SC 10”, power by arc audio xdi 1200.6 and xdi 1100.2, tuned with a Audison bit one hd, said that is there any way to install a dac or some type of player that gives me more definition? Saw one video were in one of your installs had a Fiio player to a dac then optical to the dsp. Any suggestions? Really appreciate your help. Have been watching your videos and learning from them , had bad experiences at some shops at U.S.A. so I start making my own installs. No so beautiful las yours but sounds us good. Thanks you in advanced.
Cruz Morales hi, we use these Fiio DAP players as they have coax digital output, so you don’t need any extra boxes, just a 75ohm coax cable with phono plugs and then you can plug it straight into the coax digital input on your DSP, simple! 💪👌
Pillars in 2 or 3 hours LOL 😆. Maybe some crappy off axis vented to the dash ones sure. Great job as always! Quick question, why not play the Rams a little higher?
Please, could you give me your recommendation. If you had to choose a dsp between 1) Rainbow, 2) Zapco, 3) Helix , 4) Mosconi, 5) ESX, 6) Goldhorn. Which would you choose? All of them in the $500-$700 range
I can tell only assume that 8ch are enough for you, although you wouldn’t really get more from that budget. I’d try to hunt down a Helix DSP.3 / DSP.3S with Conductor and a HEC HD BT module, probably your best option or a Zapco DSP-IV II.
Can i just fill it with cloth inside? Mine sound very boxy (thin plastic), and i need to fix that. What did you attach the cloth with? just stuff it in there, or glue? Can i risk burning anything, or doesnt the midrange get hot enough?
Hi, Midrange should never get hot, not even the slightest with appropriate settings. Just fill the box loosely, you don’t need to glue it. You can also add deadening to the inside walls if it’s flimsy plastic.
🔊Acoustic Terrorist 💣 because the box was originally built for a different sub, but 1.2cuft/34L is enough for this sub in sealed anyway. Check out the latest tuning video to see what it plays.
master of fabrication...... so much work poured into making those pods... end result speaks for itself. Just amazing !!!
Now this is true craftsmanship and passion for quality audio. I Respect what you do 👌
James thank you! Yeah, what can i say? This is Pssound about! 😃😎🔊🔊
Excellent video as always, love the explanation of why equipment was chosen and no silly claims of ‘this sounds the best in the world’ claims.

Love the look of the trunk
Thanks for all you do....You changed me from SPL to SQ and I love it
incredible as always
Nice videos, there's such a beauty In simplicity, awesome job @PSSOUND
If You have another 20 hours I will take identical set for my vectra 👍 great job Peter👌👏
Those turned out nice!! The 20 hrs into making them shows. ID hate to see what a pair of 3 HR pods look like BLEGH!!!
What was the final volume of the pods, and what did they measure like?

Proper madness...yes
based on your experience. Can we build for the same model (vectra manual gear) a box for a mid bass as you did for the insigna

Blessed Garage because i can get way better detail & attack with those beautiful sounding tweeters! 💪🤘
@@pssound9749 Right on Peter! Would love to try those RG50s someday. Just hard to get a hold of in the states
Blessed Garage Tam @ SLAacoustics is your place to get them! 👌
Very nice build 👌

Please i have a question for this installation did u upgrade the alternator?
No, we didn’t. Just a better type 70Ah AGM battery was used & OEM alt, perfectly enough for this level of load.

Man, I would give a kingdom for such amp rack in my trunk 😍
Valeriu Bratu well, now you’ll have a decent amp to start with! 😃😎
Why so small on the sub enclosure. Looked like 8+ inches of room on either side.

You my friend are pretty freaking awesome✌
I would have 3D printed that. 4walls, 20% infill. Problem is, each pod would take 24 hours to print at least, and then all the support removal. Nah,
Full Moon Party Video haha yepp, then mould it to the exact shape of the interior, dash/pillar. Tough when you have deadlines and budget. 🔊🔊
Installations don't get much better
Those look very expensive.
