As spanish native speaker it's very impressive what she did here, knowing she's just using phonetics.

She is so Down to Earth and humble, she really enjoyed doing all these songs by these artists, and put alot of effort in making sure to perfom them the right way fort the person... she's lovely
Such an amazing arrangement of this salsa song. I loved it. Isn't this just a great concept for a show. So beautiful that it is not a competition like all of our stupid shows. I can't even watch that crap. These singers have so much fun paying tribute to each other while stretching their personal styles to incorporate other genres of music. It turns out that the season of "Beste Zangers" is up for a possible best show of the year in The Netherlands. Well done Jimmy. Peace.
Thanks Thorgrim. Yeah... I wish the USA had a show like this... they could even invite Floor to host and make it international. Its so amazing how much talent is out there and I’d love to have this be part of American culture. Not everything needs to be a competition. This proves it🤘😎💯
Absolutely agree, there were a lot of comments on Denise’s translated versions, that talked about how this is truly a show about music & musicians. No manufactured drama, just musicians singing to and for each other for the joy of doing it. Being in the states, I would love to have a show based on a similar concept, but I don’t think the giant egos would be so humble grateful and accepting of someone covering their songs. I came to see Floor, and she was as amazing as I thought she would, but I was blown away by her adaptability. Taking someone’s song and changing it, all without altering the message/meaning of it, shows just how good she really is.
Unfortunately the production company started issuing strikes against Denise’s channel after the final show ended (despite Floor linking and thanking her for the translations). I didn’t see the channel that you watched it from, so hopefully they changed their minds after realizing how global Floor’s audience is (not to take away from the other singers, who are all incredibly talented, but NW isn’t well known in her homeland).
I really enjoyed the reaction and she kills every performance, Winner still gets me in my feelings and is on one of my playlists.
@@syyneater I hear you Daniel. Our crap is all about divas. American artists would be unwilling to do a show like this one for fear of being shown up by someone else. Ego's are so inflated that the publisher, marketing, and PR depts. would be dead set against it due to possible embarrassment. Sad situation. Our loss!

Floor learned that song in a week, including figuring out the pronunciation and the meaning etc, not knowing any Spanish to start with. I wonder what language she'll tackle next!
Emma Heesters did El Universo of Rolf Sanchez in English/Spanish.
Henk Poort sang Despachito his way, in Spanish as well.
Rolf and Emma sang Pa Olvidarte as a duet Dutch/Spanish.
And more like Solo Otra Vez by Rolf, No Me Ames by Samantha Steenwijk and Rolf in Dutch/Spanish.
This season was top.
Btw it is very good not to show the clip only, in the intro and after, a lot of funny stuff is talked about. It puts it in a better context.

I am Dutch, didnt even know this guy, didnt know he had a #1 hit song, I even didnt know Floor was in Nightwish, thanks to Beste Zangers I'm totally back into Nightwish! I listened to NW years ago but lost interest when Tarja "left" the band. I didnt know she was fired and stuff but yeah what a great show; beste zangers. Vote for them to win a Dutch tv-prize!

@mjoezic yeah my wife is Spanish and I’ve been listening to salsa, merengue, and other Spanish pop for years. Since streaming I dont know all the artists (my favorite Latin singers are Victor Manuelle, Marc Anthony and Prince Royce). That song has come up many times on my “cooking” playlist (i put Latin music on when I attempt cooking latin food) and had no idea he was dutch

It's been 1 year since the Beste Zangers show was aired, and I already miss it. Thank you, Jimmy, for making me relive those moments when I was breathing synchronously with Floor and looking forward to the weekend, for another episode.. then I was smiling continuously for 2-3 days. I'm looking forward to the other moments with Floor (you chose your video source well) By the way, Rolf Sanchez performed "Hotel California" with a "latino" touch for Floor - it's worth a look. About the languages Floor speaks. You've got the order of her languages mixed around a little bit. As Floor is Dutch so Dutch is her native and first language. Second language is English wich she learned at school and has been singing in all her life. And now she lives in Sweden and also speaks Swedish fluently. She also speaks German near fluent because she made an extra effort learn to German better than she already did as she took part in the German version of Beste Zangers. But she doesn't speak a lot of Finnish... She tried to learn of course but Finnish is very hard language to learn. So she can only speak the very very basic Finnish and is not even remotely fluent in that language. And Spanish she doesn't speak at all. She learned only the phonetics of this song Que se siente.

BtW... they don't always sing songs from the other singers , but it can also be a song that has a special meaning to them.
For instance , Floor singing "Vilja lied" wasn't Henks song , but a song his mother used to sing for him.
But "Mama" was from Samantha herself.(Samantha covers a song from Nightwish about Mothers in Floors episode)

This show is soooo great, and 2019 was epic all artist where good!. At this moment they are up for the best program in the Netherlands whit golden televisierring and I think they really deserve it! So can I tell to the dutchies to vote for them! I want them to receive this golden ring for the incredible songs she have done! Waiting for phantom of the opera whit Henk.. Good honest reaction. I do like Salsa music but when I was in Colombia for a month you hear it everywhere of course but noticed there's not that much variation in Spanish/Latin American music. The text is different of course but I don't speak Spanish. It seems like they don't really want to experiment with music as we do over here or in the US.
Rolf Sanchez is already big in Latin America but just imagine if he added a bit of Floor's style in it.
