@@Klipwc idk, a lot of stuff that started out as mods got added into the game eventually. Ringed planets, megaliths, taller trees and extreme terrain height were all mods that eventually became features.
It does make the drop alot longer, (though I doubt that an actual orbital drop only takes 1 minute) I was considering building an orbital cannon to shorten the distance, but it does not work on the minotaur. Man I want the flamethrower; nothing screams "warhammer" more than holding down the trigger on a flamethrower in a infested wreck and screaming "BURN IN HOLY FiRE!"
It’s also fun to do this on-foot (no exocraft). You’ve been able to base jump onto a planet for a while by falling off of one of your frigates, healing repeated on your way down, and gently jetpacking at the end down to the surface.
God this would be so fucking cool whenever I have to do sentinel pillar missions from the Anomaly. Drop straight from the skies to wreak havoc on these AI scum.
They should probably add some nice animations for getting on and off various vehicles. Making the exosuit do a three point landing with a big screenshake would also be pretty awesome. Having the temperature readings and what getting crazy as you are falling through the atmosphere would also be a cool detail.
Kind of wish there was an option to use an item to keep sentinels off your back or at least kick them off the planet. Maybe kick them off the planet you're on and send them to another one in the current system.
I still would like to see an update focused on freigthers battle. Would be nice an random event where another freighter attack yours, then you have to defend it, manage squad units, repair and create defences, and even combat in your own ship.
I have been trying to build an orbital cannon and launch a nautlion partway through the atmosphere. Sadly, It hasnt been going well and the cannon barely works and keeps launching me in weird directions. Will probably need alot more trial and error to actually build one.
I really hope in another major update they add zero G and other gameplay kinda stuff around that because I love the diversity in planets and just going out into the vastness of space to explore is awesome but I would love to jump out of my ship in zero G and fly around. I know it's probably alot to change and they probably won't add it but It would be sick.
I am using an incinerator mod that increases the damage to make it somewhat usable. But a fully upgraded pulse splitter or scatter blaster will out damage my incinerator at least several times while having longer range. Having the mod just to role - play as a pirate

If they reworked the multi tool to be more Call of Duty/Borderlands style shooting with flame throwers and plasma spheres as side weapons this game would never die. The current weapon system needs work.

This needs to be officially added as a feature in the game instead of needing to mod in the ability to place a geobay on a freighters

Dont think it is intentional. Youre not supposed to have geobay on freighter but I guess thats one way to look at it
They seriously need to add Planets with Cities that regularly get attacked by Sentinels or a ghost city controlled by sentinels entirely
They have the framework with the settlements. Just need to up the scale

Technically if you summon your freighter above a planet then you can just jump off a frigate to skydive from orbit

I just use my scatter blaster and paralysis mortar and ai minotaur to defeat sentinels but still suck at aiming sometimes.

Kind of wish there was an option to use an item to keep sentinels off your back or at least kick them off the planet. Maybe kick them off the planet you're on and send them to another one in the current system.
Disabling the sentinel pillar or destroying all waves keeps them from spawning for a good while . Though they do come back eventually.
I will never not be pissed off by the wings of ships clipping through the frigate landing bay entrance
