Clear, relevant comments relevant to all levels. Excellent (May interest people to know this is well known piece amongst guitarists - there are several works by Bach which were written by him (not just transcribed by others) for the lute. This piece partiucularly 'fits' the guitar in many ways.

Am i reading the final notes wrong in thinking that the final chord should be with g-natural, b-natural, and another g-natural in the right hand?

Yes, you are absolutely right. I just watched the ending and noticed that I played a G major chord in the 1st inversion instead of the root position in the right hand. My bad, sorry.

I never ever use the reverb pedal in Bach. One can do it, why not? And probably Bach would have used the reverb pedal if he had had one. (But then also he probably would have composed a little bit differently in some points.)
It comes down to a personal taste. For my ears, I like clarity of sound in Bach. The reverb pedal blurs it too much for my ears.
I do use, however, very occasionally the sostenuto pedal, when I need a sustained organ point and lack a finger for it ... 😅

Thank you for your perspective. I agree that using effects in Bach's music is a matter of personal taste. I appreciate your point about the sostenuto pedal; it’s fascinating to think about how different tools can serve the music in various ways. In the end, it’s about finding the right balance and what best serves the piece.
