    finally I understood the 3 options for quantizing. No ohter vid on YT explains that. Thanks a lot !

    Anybody know when boss will release drivers for mac os 13 ? Or do the drivers for mac os 12 also work with 13 ? I stupidly updated my mac and now regretting it..

    so you know how u said your loop was a little bit off and u could quantize it with ableton? I noticed my loops are a little bit off too and it makes it sound bad so is there a way to have it quantize like how a daw would quantize your midi performance? itd be great if my midi performance was quantized to the rc505 then at least anything i play on my midi keyboard would be synced perfectly even if i peformed it a bit off. Is there a way to do this? I use logic pro for my sounds then loop it back to the rc505 then loop it onto the rc505 but it tends to be a bit off time.

      I appreciate you for this comment! Did you ever find out what works best for you? I was also wondering if you would be so kind as to provide how you are quantizing so nothing is off? My wife and I want to perform live, and this would make it infinitely better! Please and thank you to anyone who helps as well!

    Hello thanks for the video I have a question how can I start recording after hitting rec button only if something is played guitar /inst thanks

    • @DFTBAndy
      @DFTBAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's not a feature of the 505 unfortunately

    • @Chonkybeatz
      @Chonkybeatz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a feature and this is how you do it. Hit record and allow the messure to record out without playing any signal into the channel, then when the button turns yellow it won't record until you play a signal into that channel. You basically create a blank recording to the measure you set, So really you are just using the over dub feature so you have time to pick up your instrument and start playing. Hope this is understandable and helps. It's a work around but works great.

    • @kaizen_creations
      @kaizen_creations 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chonkybeatz woah i wonder if this works i will try it later since i usually use my foot switch pedal when i record guitar but i play too hard at the start and am too focused on hitting the pedal and playing my guitar at the same time. If this works i could probably play better loops

      On the mk2 you can choose autorecord, only starts recording when there's Signal and you can adjust the sensitivity

    Can you help?...or am I just being stoopid?! :) Having just bought the RC505, a) how do I turn off the line out to main and just keep sound in my heaphones, to include the line in recording aswell? i.e. obviously i don't want the mic to be picking up the sound of the other tracks through the speakers! Can't seem to find this setting??

    • @DFTBAndy
      @DFTBAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need two things for that: first split level control for phones and lineout. There should be a setting where you can set it from PHONES+LineIN to just PHONES.
      Then you can control the level of the track, if you turn that to 0 you shouldn't have any output. However, the question is if you really want that, you could also just unplug the output cables? I'm not sure if i understand what you want to do...

    • @Chonkybeatz
      @Chonkybeatz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another thing you can do is change the mic threshold in the settings. I can't remember what the setting is called and I'm away from my 505 at the moment. But basically when you change the mic threshold it only picks sounds up that are close to the mic avoiding speaker playback and interference.

    Hello 🙂.
    Is it possible to connect keyboard on RC 505 ( midi connections ) for play and record in a daw. ( Fl studio ) without a addition sound card ?
    Thanks. Keep it UP👍

    How did you create an empty 1 measure track by just pressing stop? Mine does not do that.

    • @DFTBAndy
      @DFTBAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need to have set the measure to a fixed length first ;)

    Is there a way to sync up if my recordings are slightly out of time? My example would be the auto sync on DJ controller, if you accidentally go out of time live the sync button syncs up the two tracks and goes back into sync with eachother. The reason I ask..... I saw I beatbox looper go out of time badly on stage, he then did something and everything just morphed into the correct timing and the track suddenly wasn't a mess. How was this done?

    • @DFTBAndy
      @DFTBAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if he is out of time by a multiple of a beat then it can be done with the beat-shift. but you can't do arbitrary timings with that..

    • @HeyAndyS
      @HeyAndyS 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you just have to save it to the memory slot. I recommend saving to user set once ;)
      See the settings video for info ;)

    • @DFTBAndy
      @DFTBAndy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @kaizen_creations
      @kaizen_creations 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah this is my problem with the rc505, idk if it can actually quantize like how a daw can quantize midi. if u play a beat slightly off itll just snap it on the grid but with the rc505 can it do that? if it did it be soo good

    • @kaizen_creations
      @kaizen_creations 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if it cant do that i might as well sell my rc505 and learn how to loop within a daw so i dont sound slightly out of time cuz even being a bit out of time sounds bad
