People really call this good? It's basically the same game and all this guy did is add recoil to weapons with a few gameplay improvements.

I've always said that so many games suffer from "Peashooter syndrome", meaning many games have guns that sound less than...impactful. For example they sound weak, feel weak and have pretty boring feedback when shooting something. Guns are loud, very loud in fact, this mod seems to understand that and it looks absolutely fantastic and does not suffer from said Peashooter syndrome, can't wait to try it out!

That's crazy dude! If only Lambda Fortress(Team Fortress x Half Life mod) had such update if it comes out. But i wonder what else this "updated version" has aside from larger arsenal, CQC kills and realistic feel. Would be good to see some gore(for example that part, where a Combine shoots from a shotgun into that Citizen's head, brain mush over the walls is granted!! Not to mention decapitation from explosives) Or weak spots mechanic(shooting legs will slow enemies or even drop them on the ground; Shooting in the hand that wields weapon would disarm that Combine for a second, before he pulls out a pistol to his intact hand.)
Maybe I'm too over thinking about an old spaghetti source code, but would be nice to see, amazing work dude!

It may be my bias from past released AAA-games, but that trailer to something that already exists, is much better what we see nowadays... We really need a revolution in gaming. For real. Companies and devs need to stop playing safe and finally start taking risks again.
If only there was a workshop addon where people could make levels with ai placed around different maps and you could load up a map , then load up in the game the ai placements and prop placements .
This. I wish there was a way to play this sort of Gmod gameplay more seamlessly. It's the manual setting up that puts me off.
The closest thing I've been able to do is going through the HL2 campaign, with some mods that replace the items and weapons on the maps with the ones you want. But it still doesn't feel the same.

This is something i would actually expect with hype imo
it looks like the trailer of a gamemod where you play a rebel fighter fighting combine army or the reverse before or during HL2 story. interesting of the guns seen in the video would be fiftting in the east europe setting like the Kalash , FAL and the PKM. the Sa8O and P90 would fits well with the combine aesthetics. wish it is an "official" full-fleshed game

All props where they're due to the developer(s), the viewmodels, the animations, even some of the effects look wonderful... but boy oh boy, are those hl2 textures an eyesore by comparison. Truly, a face only a mother (or a niche group of gamers) could love.
