Another great video guys, I’ve never been to that area but just speaking to my other half we’ll probably pay it a visit this summer when we’re back in the UK visiting our grandkids up in Sunderland. Hello, i live about 30 minutes drive from redcar, visit it often and been to the gare many times, sadly due to the amount of campers and visitors up there the local council is trying to crack down on it all so i heard because of noise (people live there) from boy racers. For fish and chips Russels is probably one of the better chip shops, and £9 for two fish n chips with peas is better than my local thats £10.50 for one. Thanks for visisting this wonderful area, yeah its ran down in places but its a great day out for everyone still, plus the ships coming into teesport.

I know this in the 3 times we have visited we have never seen any kind of trouble and always had a peaceful night sleep. that's not a tug... it's a Pilot Boat... once it's passed the Gare the Pilot will have finished his or her job and will disembark on to that small boat to either come ashore, or go on to the next ship to bring it in to port...

Coming from Middlesborough, I've been to this place in Redcar, about 6 times (The North gare) I've took my 2 kids up there. When they were little If It wasn't for the fog. You could see Seaton Carew. Over the estuary Like you. Could see the next day when the fog was gone. You have got yourself a new subscriber..🏴

Hello to you both I have just stumbled on your channel looking through TH-cam and seen you been to the gare we have only been once and it is a lovely place and be a shamed to loose it hopefully that doesn't happen but anyway though I would introduce ourself as a fellow TH-camr I am Jamie my wife Tina and our 2 boys Andrew and Harvey and we are The Ellmers Adventures we are a family of 4 that travel around the UK and explore as much as possible but we have had a few hiccups along the way which I have documented in my videos lol but big changes to come next year for us and the channel hopefully for the better but for the time being we travel around in our vintage caravan, tent, static caravans, etc but thing will change next year but anyway we have just subbed to your channel as we like to help and support all the other smaller channels like ourself well you take care all the best and maybe see you on the road some day love from us all here from The Ellmers Adventures x ❤

Thanks for such a positive video about this area and also for reminding people about being respectful of where they camp. I live about 20mins from The Gare and have come here often with my dogs for decades. I have always said it’s one of my favourite places on earth (and I’ve done a fair bit of travelling). It has become more and more popular over the last few years with campers and it’s a scary thought that we could lose access to it altogether as the port authority could probably close the road if people abuse it. So, thanks again and thank you for the great videos.

Of course it's going to be height restricted. People living in vans and not paying council tax is the problem. Can't have people living their life for free.
Unlike some people we don't live in our van and just use it for traveling but other people have different circumstances and have to live in their van if not and they didn't have a van to live in there could be living on the streets in shop doorways and be more vulnerable, we agree with what people say about outstaying their welcome if they just stayed a week and moved on then this wouldn't cause any problems people do tend to use it as a place to stay longer and we don't agree in that, thanks for taking the time to watch our video hope you did like it and everybody has their own opinions.

That at the end was an anti aircraft gun emplacement there's two my grandfather was stationed there a few times with the home guard .
