Blomqvist began his musical career on the guitar, which he still uses to develop his songs today. As a teenager he was a member of a punk band, but was fascinated by electronic music from an early age. After graduating from high school, he moved to Berlin at the age of 19, where he first began studying aerospace engineering and then mathematics. He gave up his studies in favor of a music career. From 2003 he focused only on electronic music. . And became an electronic music Master.
Not surprised, as a musician, that he was drawn to engineering and math. Music's connection with STEM is one of the strongest and most vital out there, yet is almost entirely glanced over in K-12 education here in the States. I know this seems out of place, but where else would this happen but right HERE?

This is one of those concerts that every time you see it you are going to wish you were a part of it. I don’t know why but it already feels like this belong to good old days in distant past where everything was better, but it has only been 3 years. If I’ll ever get old I’ll put this masterpiece on and remember what being young was like, watching all those people dancing around living the moment to its fullest. People with beatiful clothes and cool moves, all those couples in front rows dancing and kissing, dancing ladies on stage, desert views, bikes going around, light shows, sky getting slowly dark, beatiful melodies and vocals from Jan… Absolutely in love with everyone and everything about this. Masterpiece.

WOW. This is the single most important piece of music I have ever discovered… Epiphany!! I stumbled across this 6 months ago and it has completely captivated me since. I just can’t escape my desire to listen to this. I’m 41 and have loved music my whole life, but this is different! Normally I never reply on TH-cam, but last weekend I was at Pleinvrees in Amsterdam and I had the chance to see Blomqvist live for the first time. It was really amazing. The whole atmosphere of the festival, the weather, the people, and Jan Blomqvist performing. I think it was my best festival ever. I also met more Blomqvist fans who also went to this set at Burning man in 2019. So happy I saw him live and it will be not the last time!
There is a tangibly hypnotic, almost soporific, atmosphere to this . The sense of freedom and heightened vibrations are evident purely from listening & it"s a joy to witness the glorious menagerie of humans in a delightful mode ...... dance music can often be the "sound of the soul" x
Out of the blue, my Dad came across this set and shared it with me. Was a bit skeptical, but after the first 30s I knew this guy was the real deal. After replaying this set countless times, we finally got to see him in Ibiza 2 weeks ago. He didn’t disappoint - what a legend this guy is.. Thank you Jan Blomqvist for the amazing music.

Normally I never reply on TH-cam, but last weekend I was at Pleinvrees in Amsterdam and I had the chance to see Blomqvist live for the first time. It was really amazing. The whole atmosphere of the festival, the weather, the people, and Jan Blomqvist performing. I think it was my best festival ever. I also met more Blomqvist fans who also went to this set at Burning man in 2019. So happy I saw him live and it will be not the last time!
There is a tangibly hypnotic, almost soporific, atmosphere to this .
The sense of freedom and heightened vibrations are evident purely from listening & it"s a joy to witness the glorious menagerie of humans in a delightful mode ...... dance music can often be the "sound of the soul" x

Out of the blue, my Dad came across this set and shared it with me. Was a bit skeptical, but after the first 30s I knew this guy was the real deal.
After replaying this set countless times, we finally got to see him in Ibiza 2 weeks ago. He didn’t disappoint - what a legend this guy is.. Thank you Jan Blomqvist for the amazing music.
