I parked next to this Skylark at the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour n Birmingham Alabama. The sky that day looked just like it does here. Also saw it on the 2012 HRPT in Milford, Michigan at General Motors Proving Grounds.
Bob is a great guy. He was undergoing chemo treatment at the time. His son Mike and wife are really nice people as well I am always pleased to meet nice people driving another beautiful Buick. You get the best cars. Rock On Scottie D!
This BOB guy is a trip! Really nice guy!
Wow his son did an outstanding job!! Can't believe he built that car all by himself! Thanks a lot for showing it to us!
This Buick is absolutely amazing ! I'm absolutely speechless !
Best Buick ever... Love it. Never would of thought of a Buick being so nice.
lol...and that is saying something!!....I agree...this kid has talent!
Sweet car, love the early skylarks, they have such great lines.
Right on....Glad You liked it!!
That car was one of a kind. Absolutely amazing.
Incredible paint job, dude should do restorations for a living
I agree...very nice work!
No problem.... glad I could do it!...I agree you don't need as many tools as you do talent!
My local Buick dealership has a vintage riviera just sitting outside. It's been there for years. I so wish they would restore it and put it in the show room. This skylark is amazing too
That is a sweet car! Everything looks great but I can not get over the hard lined Vintage Air and he said the air bags were hard lined also. It was hard for me to run rubber hoses on my 57 Chevy, but hard lined, wow!
Scottie, there's some really talented individuals out there, this car's a great example. Thanks for bringing it to us.
O what a beauty that car was. I told my dad that I had a new favorite classic.

Interesting Car Scottie
Glad you liked it Brother!
Cool automobile!
I owned a 64" Buick Skylark, nice cars!
I agree!!
I hear ya....hate to watch cool cars rot!
I've always had a fondness for old Buicks and these early '60s Buicks are some of the most beautiful! People don't think of Buick as Musclecars, but Buick was making some very powerful cars that also combined the best in luxury and latest technology and ended up with classy "Gentleman's Musclecars"!
I love everything except the engine... even though ALL late '70s and '80s GM cars had Chevy engines from the factory, I would've dropped in a GN 3.8 V6 Turbo or a 425 Buick Nailhead and turbo'd it!!!
Caught my eye for sure...
Agreed!!
This 62 Buick is my Favorite Buick of all time. You like this one, you should see Mikes Nova. He has talent.
I hear ya....very cool Car for sure....would love to see the Nova!
You to!
amazing skylark! stunning !!
Glad you liked it....thanks for checking it out!!
Another great find Scottie!! One question though.....Do you actually get to ride around in any of the cars you film?? Not the show cars, but the cars that you show such as this one where it's just you and the owner.
Nice work Bob's son...I salute.....
Love it. Nice Car all around.
I don't have a bunch of time to cruise around with them....but like I road to this location from where it was parked...I do some ride along videos....everything has to be fluid in my world...at a show I have no idea what will be there...who I will be able to shoot...or what I will have to deal with...like back ground music
Thanks brother for showing this car
It is really coool
What a BEAUTY!
I'm a fan too...Glad you liked it!!
How cool is that!..lol
Really?...it is a very cool car...that is why it is here..lol....did you watch the Mecum Auction last week?
Exhaust sounds boss. Nice ride.
I agree..
lol..always glad to help!
Beautiful car like the original lights and Buick emblem
Right on....Glad you liked it!!!
Very nice. The shaved handles are nice
That's right...that's what I like best!
AS A HOT WHEELS KID, I can confirm they ended up making a car just as beautful as marillyn mornoe. CANT beleieve this
Right on...Thanks for checking this one out here!!
Right...not sure I would have thought of that
Right on man! Well thanks again for another sweet vid!! Have a great day brother!!
lol..glad you liked it!!
no didnt get a chance, this buick is sick, love it
Got a little woo big sooie lol, glad I got my daily dose of ScottieDTV
lol...yes he is entertaining....great guy!
THAT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL AUTOMOBILE,IF IT WASN'T FOR THE GREAT PAINT JOB AND ALL THE CUSTOM WORK ONE COULD EASILY OVERLOOK THIS CAR.THE GUYS SON IS ONE TALENTED INDIVIDUAL AND YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXCELLENT.ONCE A MONTH THERE IS A CARS AND COFFEE IN ST PETERSBURG FLORIDA CHECK DUPONT REGISTRIES CARS AND COFFEE ON FACEBOOK SO WHEN YOU ARE IN FLORIDA CHECK IT OUT.THE ONLY THING IS EARLY IN THE MORNING 7 AM TO 9 AM.KEEP UP THE GOOD CAR VIDEOS AND GOD BLESS.
Cool find Scottie. I don't mean to knit-pick, but even with rain-storm on your mind, you forgot to ask about the wipers. This guy drives this thing across the country? I can see him getting by with using rain-x, but can you register a car without windshield wipers?
Nice car men!!! Beautifull!!!
Very cool for sure!!
favorite so far....
The Skylark and Olds F-85 were unique in a style that was "Little big car" Nobody did it better. The 215 CI V8's lived on for decades in various British vehicles.
Right on...Thanks for checking this one out here!
BUICK'S ALWAYS HAD THOSE SMOOTH BODY LINES
Sweet ride
Man o man would I be happy to own that bad ass beauty. Really nice. Somebody’s vision was right on. The style of the car, the colors, the motor, the wheels, the whole thing is tits.
lol..For sure....Glad you liked it!!
What a sweet piece. Just goes to show that it doesn't have to be a pony car to be impressive.
I thought I asked him?...but your right...those are the players....
Damn! This car is so.... "Special"
lol..I hear ya!!
They have nice lines....built to be low...
Dat's my nabahood!! Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville!!
Cool!
It is every bit as nice as my 1958 Rambler Rebel V8. Oh! By the way, Scottie, his son is obviously a very talented craftsman, perhaps an engineer. Keep it real, brother!
lol..I agree....
Not at all...I have to control these shoots...Bob would have gone on for days...and with a storm just minuets away...we had to go!...I am very honored every time someone lets me shoot there car....lets me tell there story..so arrogance is not what your seeing...in this case it was direction...
looks great
I agree!
lol...you to Brother!
I hear ya...a lot of work!!
Love that classic
Christian Benn Always cool for sure!!
But the only things missing is the wiper arms and if i,m correct does the owner live in california.
Christian Benn Ya...lot of the customs they leave those off....not going to drive it in the rain...and they use Rain-x in case they get cough out....I thought he live on the east coast....I could be wrong...
Ok.
Something a little different!
I didn't notice...so many of them don't have wipers..
She is beautiful wow!!
Glad you liked it!
Why would u not want to film the trunk? I was wanting to see it! Oh well.
I started to dump buckets 2 min after we got done....
lol...I will keep that in mind
I think chrome exterior mirrors would of looked awesome on this!!.
Definitely a head turner.
Hey!
They did...
I know Bob’s son Mike, the guy that build the car. A lot of time went into machining all the custom parts and he machined them and programmed the machines to make them. He’s a real talented guy. He also built a 66 Nova for himself that has a lot of Custom work done to it also. There is a video of it going through a tunnel on the 09 hot rod power tour, I’ll attach it to this comment below.

Cool...Thanks for checking it out here!!
ScottieDTV Bob has passed away since you met him and I believe they sold the car. I just hope whoever bought it drives it as much as Bob would.

Nicolas Bozzo I agree!
