Hey mommas so I had stopped breastfeeding for a month because I was very overwhelmed and felt guilty later on long story short a month after stopping decided to breast feed again the first two days I pumped every two hours and started taking lactation cookies and got a few drops by day 3 was very discouraged and pumped less by day 4 I gave up thinking it won’t work but tried one more time pumping and got half a ounce of milk and was excited don’t give up keep going !!!
Yessssss!!!! Thank you so much for sharing and for the encouragement! It can take time to see results with regular pumping. The results can take several days to weeks, patience and persistence is key. Congratulations!
@@handbookforthehotmess hi mommy how are doing now? I started pumping month ago from 175ml in 24 hours when my child needs 640ml lol. Now I have 400 ml pumping every 3 hours and keep going.
Thank you Kessi for this video. I've been watching your videos alot. I struggled alot with my newborn to latch but he couldn't so I introduced the bottle feeding with formula on day 4. I almost gave up because my milk supply was also very little.. We're now 2 months and he's latching so we'll despite my milk supply being low but I'm happy he does breastfeed.. New moms keep trying it will work eventually
I stopped when I was very sick, after around 10 days I restarted. Saw these videos, they helped me alot and I was successful. Now I give him feeder twice only still trying to make it better.
Wow! I am so happy to hear that this video helped you restart. Congratulations on all your hard work, twice a day is a huge accomplishment. Welcome to the community.
I am about to start my relactation since i realised that breastfeeding is best for babies and really missed the midnight moment with my little one. Thankyou for the knowledge you've shared
Rosh Guibao you are welcome. So happy for you and your little one. Best of luck with starting the process, you got this! :) thank you for stopping by, so happy to have you here.
I'm here because I am debating breastfeeding my 4 month old again. We struggled to breastfeed over the last 4 months.. I successfully breastfed her for 3 months and just recently stepped away and am pumping and feeding her my milk through bottles and supplementing with formula.
Welcome Maggie. Thank you for sharing your story and your experience. It sounds like if you decide that Relactation is right for you, you could have some good results. :)
I want to re-lactate so badly for many reasons but I miss the bond and I know the health benefits are just incredible and unbeatable! I have not for about 3 months, my baby girl is 7 months old. I really appreciate this video, it’s helped me a ton!! ❤
First of all thanks for this!! This is why I came here. My baby had an emergency heart surgery on the day he was born. Thankfully he is healthy now. I have been pumping milk for 3 months and freezing them. He wasn't allow to drink mother milk . He is 3 months old and used to drink formula from bottle. Tomorrow I will try to breastfeed him for the first time!! Very curious how it will be! I am a highly dedicated person, pumping regularly but I also don't want to drive myself mad.. I am quite excited. Bonding has been quite essential to me even during the pregnancy, so this is the main reason why I want to move my baby from bottle to breast.
I am still lactating and pumping for my daughter trying to latch her at least twice a day but she was working so hard trying to breastfeed because she has a tongue and lip tie. We are getting it fixed on Wednesday and so I’m trying to keep her latching just so hopefully we can exclusively nurse after the procedure is done because I hate pumping! I’m here just learning !
Hi Brandie. Thank you so much for being here. I am so happy you are learning :) I hope things went well with your baby's procedure. It can be really hard to breastfeed through a tongue and lip tie. I really hope the procedure helps you and you baby. Don't worry if things initially get harder before they improve after the procedure. This is very typical and things should improve over time. If you have any troubles, working with a lactation and oral specialist team may be very beneficial.
Hello! How did things go with you and the baby’s tongue/lip-tie. My daughter was also diagnosed with it. I stopped breastfeeding at 3 months due to work pressures but now at 5 months I want to relactate- how was the experience for you, was it susccessfull. My daughter just had the procedure done also.
Im a few years out from the last time i breast fed. I had to give up after a month of life for my baby due to mental health. Ever since, i have felt such a heartshredding guilt. So, my new plan is just to get back to relactation in order to help deal with that guilt. If im able to relactate, then i plan on looking into donating it, but that is definitely a step further than i need to think about right now.
I'm currently relactating after I stopped breastfeeding to have chemo. I'm up to around 250ml per day, pumping 7 times per day. I'm tryingying to get baby to latch again after 3.5 months on the bottle, so going to try the nipple shield. Baby says no a lot though! Fingers crossed.
Wow thank you so much for sharing your brave story. What an incredible journey. I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you. That is amazing that you have gotten back up to 250ml. The nipple shield may be a good tool, you could try backfilling the shield with some breastmilk or formula to motivate baby to keep going. You may find that giving baby half of 3/4 of the typical bottle feed and letting him/her finish the feed at the breast is more successful rather than trying to get a hungry baby to latch. If you haven't already subscribed, I would love to have you as part of this community and hear updates on your journey. I hope you are well and wish you continued success.
So I want to breastfeed my baby again, I stopped when she was only 2 weeks, because I got an infection on my toe and had to take antibiotics, plus she wasn't gaining weight 😔 I tried to bf her but she was just getting frustrated, she did latch once , she'll be 3 mths and now with the shortage of formula going on I want to bf and not worry about the shortage,in the meantime I'll be pumping and staying hydrated and see if she can't latch on with the nipple shield , hopefully by the time she's 4mth she'll only be drinking breast milk ✨💕 thank you for the video, it really helps seeing someone talking about relactation .
I stopped breastfeeding after moving to the complete opposite side of the country (CA->NH) and our son started meeting everyone and everyone wanted to give him a bottle. But I wasn’t producing enough to fill bags for everyone so we started formula feeding. He still has a great latch but my volume went from pumping anywhere between 5-7 oz a breast to barely getting 2oz out of BOTH breasts. I want a stronger bond with Mr. Baby and a little bit of an excuse to just relax with him between chores. I have disordered eating and a part of me doesn’t want to breast feed because of how poor my own nutrition is and i feel like I’m not giving him everything he needs because of my own short comings and it’s been extremely depressing and stressful because all I want to do it give my baby everything he needs but I can’t take the steps to help myself first.
Thank you for your honest and vulnerable response. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you have the professional help you need for your nutrition and mental health, as is so important for so many parents in the postpartum period. Remember breastfeeding doesn't have to be all or nothing and every little bit of your milk that baby get is so valuable. You can enjoy all the snuggles, skin to skin, breastfeeding and do all the latching you want, and still supplement if necessary based on your supply and nutritional status, there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe if some of the pressure is taken off of the nutritional side of breastfeeding, you will feel less stressed about it and enjoy the down time to bond with your little one. Send a hug your way.
Thank you for all your tips. Want to try this as I am really missing breastfeeding. My baby is 5 weeks old she didn’t have a good latch to begin with due to my inverted nipples and I pumped and bottle fed which I was fine with at firsts but I really want to breastfeed so desperately as I feel like I’m missing the bonding and so tiered of pumping and constantly dealing with finding a place to pump and wash everything.
You are so welcome. Pumping is really hard work, congratulations on making it this far. I wish you luck on your relactation journey. Thank you so much for being here.
@@KassiReyes I just wanted to give you an update! I have been nursing my daughter for 2 months now after exclusively pumping and bottle feeding for almost 2 months. We were able to latch and nurse! I am sooo happy and we have such a wonderful bond since restarting breastfeeding. Thank you again 😭😊
@@suvigrace6956 I’ll be honest it was so hard I wanted to give up many times. Lots of prayers were said and lots of tears cried. But now it’s so worth it I could probably breastfeed on the moon at this point. I would basically try to get her to latch at least for a min here or there. Being a first mom I didn’t know a lot of the hungry cues I was trying to get her to latch when she was already hungry she would get fussy so when I realized I would try to latch her before she ate the entire bottle. Or before and in between meals and one days she latched and I just could believe it. The good thing is she did not have any nipple confusion which I was very blessed with and she does still take the bottle occasionally whenever I leave her with a babysitter.
This is such a great video! I really struggled to get my baby back to breast but we did it! I’ve shared my story on TH-cam too 💖. I’m so glad we got there in the end xxx
Breastfed until my son was 2 months, exclusively pumped until he was 4 months. I was in an AWFUL headspace, dealing with postpartum depression/rage, I needed serious rest. My son is 6 months and I’m in a much better headspace, even if he doesn’t breastfeed I want to start pumping again, although I wish he would latch again :(
I had to stop pumping for my son who was born at 29+6 after a while my milk wasn't helping him gain weight (had to put him on formula to get him home) but I am ready to start breastfeeding him again, we've got the all clear from our nurse to try this again
That is wonderful news! I am so happy that you're able to start working on breastfeeding and lactation with your baby again. Hope this video is helpful to you as you restart your journey. Congratulations 🎊
hey the same thing happened to me. my milk was only 20cal and baby needed 24cal then 22cal once she went home so she was on neosure but i realized once she got home that this milk is HORRIBLE to her body so we switched formulas but i want to breastfeed because i know that is best. i'm trying to relatch but baby is always getting angry and when i pump i'm barely getting an ounce now. what did you do to help?
I just had my first baby at 34 weeks so she’s been in the NICU for 2 weeks and I haven’t able to breastfeed so I’ve been pumping. It’s hard to pump so I’ve been slacking and not pumping as often so I’ve noticed my supply go down. Hopefully once I get back on a schedule I can get it back up and I can get baby to latch once I try breastfeeding.
Great video!! Thank you for sharing with us. I planned on exclusively breastfeeding - and did so for the first month - however, little miss and I have had nothing but back to back issues. Her suck wasn't great due to my nipple size so she couldn't empty them, she caught a cold from my other littles at three weeks, we both got thrush at four weeks - so painful I begged God to take my supply away as it made the pain worse, took pseudoephedrine to drop my supply, got sick again soon after with the flu, I ended up on an antihistamine for hives that randomly appeared and stayed for weeks... I've managed to still breastfeed through the night and maybe 2-3 times during the day. I've always wanted to go back to exclusively feeding, but the formula shortage has me wanting to get the ball rolling asap. Little one is 4 mos old.
Good for you mama for wanting to try again. I can totally relate. I recently had a very hard recovery from a c section and understand how hard it can be to establish breastfeeding when your own body is going through so much. You can do this! Hugs
Broke my wrist 1 month ago and had surgery. Been hard to hold and cradle baby and offer her the breast while in a sling and cast. But I was still breast feeding prior to my accident. Had zero energy to pump because I still work full-time. The few times I’ve pumped I can only get 1/2ounce combined from both breast. I know I need to commit. I miss the bond and nutrition aspect. She’s 8 months old and lost interest in the breast some since my accident and has two teeth and wants to bite all the time when offered breast. It’s hard when I have no help and am feeling so discouraged. Praying for all mamas who struggle because it is hard. I know it. Chins up and be the best mama you can be.
Wow! My heart goes out to you mama. We are all just doing the best we can given our current circumstances, and it sounds like you have faced some tough circumstances during your journey. Rest assured, that you are an amazing mama to your baby and I can feel the love in your post! I have no doubt that you and your little one have a strong bond no matter how your lactation journey turns out. hugs!
Should I take a supplement to help increase supply? It’s been a week since stopping for 2 weeks and if I pump only a 1oz comes out. I’ve been latching him nonstop bc I know that helps increase supply. I restarted bc my son has been so constipated.
This is awesome. If you are latching your son and then pumping 1 oz, you may already have an adequate supply. Regular stimulation and emptying is the best for increasing supply, though people have varying experiences with supplements. If you have doubts, check in with an IBCLC in your area. Thanks for being here :)
I had to stop BF and I was pumping due to the fact that I was in hospital for 20 days. I had to stop BF at 7 months due to medication i was on. I'm off it now and my baby is nearly 9 months old. My milk never went away completely and I've been getting 30ml from both sides for tge past two days. I will be pumping more often to get my supply back up to the milk cow level I was and then attempt the relatching game. Today, he drank my breastmilk from the bottle as if it was never gone (I was so overjoyed, I cried). We've fortunately kept him on Pigeon bottles with the super small teat holes and practiced paced bottle feeding. I miss that bond so much And I'm sure he does too. Wish me luck 😂 he's got two teeth now.
Wow mama, sounds like you have been through so much. 20 days in the hospital!? That must have been so hard. How amazing that your body continues to produce milk for your baby. 7 months of breastfeeding is amazing and it sounds like you will likely have good results with relactation. You will work through those little teeth, I am sure after 7 months of nursing your baby remembers to cup the nipple with the tongue while nursing versus biting. I was just telling my husband the other day that I need to make a video about nursing and teething. My baby also has two teeth right now. Aren't those little teeth SO cute when they smile? 😊 Keep going, you are amazing!
My baby around 2.5 months would absolutely cry at my breast and was not happy he couldn’t get milk while trying to cluster feed. I thought I would give him 1 bottle of formula but now at 5 months he prefers bottle and I’m struggling to keep up with expressing and feeding. I want to relatch him. He take abreast at night when asleep. But he won’t in the day. :(
Hi Kessi. I've stopped breastfeeding after 2weeks as I have inverted nipples and baby damage my nipples I also had to have a abscess removed long story short I want to try again baby is 2 months old but he is struggling to latch when we do skin to skin he will search for my nipple but only lick it but not latch. I've ordered a electrical breastpump to help my milk supply hopefully we will get there
I was assuming my baby didn't get enough milk from my breast and i was giving him formula milk in addition to breast milk but after 2 months he refused for the breast and i am trying my best to return him back to breast feed
Great video . I am here because i stopped breastfeeding at 6 months and gave her formula due to medication for 15 days the baby was exclusively breastfed since birth but after 15 days when i offer her my breast she rejects it and cry aot ..enough i am pumping the milk supply is there because i was pumping .
Awww don’t give up! You are doing all the right things. Getting back to Brest from bottle takes time and patience. Don’t force it and don’t give up. Try giving baby half to 3/4 of their usual volume at a feed from a bottle FIRST and then letting them finish the feeding at the breast, once they are almost full and not hungry/less patient. You’ll still need to pump, but little by little this could get you back to breast only… if that is your goal.
I was told by my last lactation consultant the I might as well just stop crying because I wasn't producing enough barely an ounce instead of helping me get it going they made me stop it's been like 3 or 4 months since I stopped my baby is 7 months almost 8:00 and I really didn't want to stop and she made me feel bad about it is there anything I can do
💪🏽💪🏽 you are awesome! Each person is different and it also depends on how long you have lactated in the past and how long since you stopped. Give it a week or two and try your best to be patient :)
Baby had lip and tongue tie corrected at 2 weeks. After that procedure, latching was hard. Since then I have exclusively pumped and bottle feed. I miss that connection with baby. I would like to continue to pump while at work but would love to breastfeed baby when at home. Supply is still up!
My son breastfed great up until he got a cold and he completely stopped drinking from the breast. I’ve been pumping a bottle for him, but I really miss that bond and want to get back to exclusively breastfeeding.
I want to give my Pab the milk he really deserves. I want to bond with him closer by breastfeeding. First of all my goal when I was still pregnant is to breastfeed him. But unluckily he doesn't want to latch. I searched for many technique including nipple shields but I got lazy using it because everytime I try breastfeeding him I got issues of him crying so loud.
You weren’t lazy,’you were probably doing the best you could. Having a newborn is HARD and Nipple shields can be so frustrating, even if they work for you. It is all really hard but if giving your baby your milk is your goal, I know you can do it.
My baby was born premature and I wasn't able to breastfeed. I used a manual pump, but was dealing with ppd due to her being in thr NICU so I fell of the tracks. I finally got an electric pump, but just ended up giving up😭 Really want to relactate because I never really got that chance to bond with her. She is 4 months today, wish me good luck!!
Awww mama! Thank you for being so brave and sharing your story. I truly wish you the best of your relactation journey. Try to enjoy the journey and the snuggles as much as possible without putting too much pressure on yourself. You are amazing and starting out with a premature baby in the NICU is SO hard!
I had a traumatic birth experience where my baby girl and I were in a life/death situation. She was in NICU due to major head injuries and I was devastated. With an episiotomy and a c section with my baby in NICU, I was not able to eat or do anything. My baby returned after 2 weeks but I was exhausted and depressed I was not able to efficiently pump and turned to formula feeding with an ache in my heard. Shes 11 weeks now and Im thinking of trying it again, but i dont know if I should go for it especially with a flat nipple.
My baby lost a little more than 10% of her weight and was forced to supplement with formula by hospital and paediatrician and she’s 1 month today. I’d like to start weaning her off a formula bottle and breastfeed only. Is that possible? I feel like my supply has gone down so much cause she’s starting to rely or realize the steady flow of a bottle. It’s discouraging.. how do I know if she’s getting enough or if I should be still giving her formula. I live in northern Ontario so a case of formula is $90 where I live. I’d really really hate to have to stop breastfeeding.
Awww mama! That is hard, but it sounds like you have done all the right things. I am glad to hear your baby is still breastfeeding. This first month can be so hard. My baby just turned 1 month on Saturday and honestly we are really struggling too. I will share my journey on here one day. If you are curious on how much milk she gets when she breastfeeds, you could try to do a weighted feeding (weight in same diaper before and after a feeding) at the pediatrician or with a lactation consultant. I recommend working with a lactation consultant who can help you with a plan for pumping to protect your supply and weaning from formula to get you back to exclusive breastfeeding. My heart goes out to you
I never really got a chance to breastfeed. I struggled from day one my baby just wasn't interested and was a big sleeper. I felt like I am failing and resorted to pumping at first was happy that I am getting some milk but over time it got hectic, pumping and just dealing with everything in life. I also started experiencing pain as I was using a manual pump. So I decided to stop and formula feed. But I miss that feeling I feel roobed of not breastfeeding and now I feel like I am at a better place to start again. I stopped for about 2-3 months. I stil get few drops when I hand express and my baby is 9 months
Hi! Thank you for sharing your journey, it can be SO difficult in the beginning. It sounds like you could have some success if you are still seeing drops of milk. I wish all the best for you as you start to explore your relactation journey. Keep us posted if you want :)
I work M-F 5-8pm and even when I’m not working, I honestl despise pumping. Would it be worth it for me to try if I can only really commit to pumping a few hours a day? And not at night? Or is that the main requirement?! I can deal with it every few hours, but don’t want to at night time
@@makenziedrake6038 Hi Makenzie, if you hate pumping and don't want to do it at night but are okay with pumping during the day, go for it :). Every bit of milk you give your baby is valuable, and offers great nutrition and protection for baby. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, especially if exclusive breastfeeding is not your goal. Just do what you can and what feels right to you. Thank you for sharing your story
My milk supply started to hit rock bottom after I went back to work. I couldn't pump as much as I want since there is a time limit for the additional lactation break. I travel 5-hrs to work and 3hrs to get home, Even if I want to power pump I can't
I am so sorry. Unfortunately, regular emptying of the breast is the best way to promote and protect your supply. It sounds like you have a very demanding work schedule and going back to work can certainly be really hard on your supply, this is such a struggle for many working moms. Remember, any amounts of human milk, no matter how small, are still beneficial to your baby. My heart goes out to you. Maybe try working with a lactation consultant to see if they can help you come up with a plan that works with your life. Congratulations on your baby!
I had my first baby didn’t really know what I was doing, nurses and midwives weren’t very helpful either. I didn’t produce milk straight away so they gave him formula. He does latch on but I was barely producing 1 feed a day now I’m down to about 10ml my baby is now 5 months but I really want to breastfeed him I’ve never given up. Is it still possible? What do I need to do to change this please help
Hi! Not yet, but this is a great suggestion. I would be happy to add it to my list. Do you mean switching to exclusive pumping and bottle feeding, or introducing a bottle sometimes? You may find my video on paced bottle feeding helpful
Awww Mama, I am so sorry you felt pressure to quit. It sounds like it could be really gratifying for you to try relactation. Give it a try!! You got this!
My baby is 6 weeks old and had latch issues due to a tongue tie which was clipped at 9 days old and also I have flat nipples so had to use a shield. I did triple feeding (when he was even able to latch) and then got to the point where I was mostly pumping 8-10x a day for 30 minutes each. But I was only getting 10-15 oz total and supplemented with 20 oz of formula per day. A few days ago with the help of a lactation consultant, he started latching regularly without the nipple shield (now he does it automatically!) Now I am nursing and topping off with formula but I would like to get to EBF. Do you think it’s possible for me to get to EBF? Any tips? I have been feeling pretty pessimistic as he still needs at least 15 oz of formula day now. But I have loved your videos so far and learned a lot!
Thank you for stopping by. First, let me say congratulations, because it sounds like you have done everything right to get your baby back to the breast and protect your supply in the mean time. Also sounds like you have been working with a great lactation Consultant. If your baby is latching at most feeds now , your supply will probably respond to his needs. Our bodies tend to respond better to our babies than to a pump. Trust that your body will provide and produce what your baby needs. Look at his cues after breastfeeding. If he is not showing hunger cues after breastfeeding, you may not need to supplement at every feed. Work with your lactation consultant to help guide you in how to safely wean back from the supplementation, and try to stay optimistic and trust that your body can do this!
I had to switch to exclusive pumping about a week after I posted this. Even though he was nursing the lactation consultant said he wasn’t transferring milk. Honestly I’m glad I switched because EP was so much better for my mental health. My supply also increased to being a just enougher. I pumped until he was 9 months.
@@melissabruhn8719 omg thats so hard to pump for 9 months hats off to u momma.i am also struggling with breastfeeding as i have small nipples and my daughter doesnt like to feed she loves bottle.i am so worried how to switch from bottle to breast feed if u have any tip plz do share
I stopped pumping 2 months ago and i wanted to start pumping again, i started hand expressing and had a few drops amd it was super sticky and super yellow like colostrum. is this normal?
I really struggled the first months. My daughter had tongue & 3 lip ties that I didn't get told of until she was 3 months which had an effect on my milk supply. I would make enough but I wanted more. I stopped feeding but would still pump. But I was getting stressed mentally & physically. I did have PPD & even felt depressed during pregnancy. So I think that had a role as well. I got my baby Lazer for the ties & breastfed again. She was doing better. But i stopped because she only wanted to sleep with the breast. She was 5 months by the time I stopped. She's 7 months now. She was also teething so she was fussy which she wanted to be on the breast. I wanted to stop when she had teeth which I guess worked out fine. I still have milk & I don't pump. I got her to suck a little with nipple shield but she doesn't do much. I want to reatch her because I honestly miss breastfeeding 🙃 even though it can be hard. I would feel so connected with her. So I guess I'll see where this goes!
Have been exclusively pumping as my daughter wouldn't latch and found out she had a pretty bad tongue-tie which was snipped last week. she is 6 weeks and trying to get her onto the breast now. She is not liking it so far, so getting as much advice as possible
Hi Emma, So glad you were able to identify the tie and have it revised. It can be challenging to get a baby onto the breast and effectively feeding even after a tongue tie release. I always recommend working with a lactation consultant post release to help you work through the process.
My daughter had a grade 3-4 lip and tongue tie we had lasered off. It made breastfeeding very hard at first and I pumped for 2-3 months but we were able to retrain with the help of a lactation nurse. Now she’s EBF. A good nurse makes the difference and we also did bodywork(so important after a lip/tongue tie release) We feel the bodywork is what made the most difference in her ability to latch.
Im here because I stopped at 3 months because I wasn’t producing enough milk and I wasn’t taking care of myself and now. I want to help my son get stronger and lose this extra layer of fat because breastfeeding will help the fat go away sooner.
Hi Katherine. Breastfeeding can be so challenging in the beginning, I am sorry you faced those challenges around 3 months. If you mean that your son is now 2.5 years old, you may still consider breastfeeding if it works for you and baby mutually, however at 2.5 years old he does have other nutritional requirements beyond EXCLUSIVE breastfeeding. Work closely with your pediatrician to understand the balance of breastmilk and solid foods that he requires. I wish you the best!
I stopped breastfeeding at 3 weeks, she is 6 months Monday and I want to get back into it especially when she isn't drinking her formula since being unwell. I had left over milk in the freezer and she loved it so trying to get my milk back in for my baby
Hi, I have a7 month year old baby and I am interested in relactation because I really wanted that bond with my daughter I gave up to quick when she was a newborn, is it really worth trying ? Thank you for your feedback
Tatiana, welcome! This is a personal decision, and it can can a lot of time and effort, but if what you are interested in is the bond, I think you will find that it is worth it. Even if you don't get a full supply back, every little bit you give your baby and all the skin to skin and snuggles you do will probably help you and baby feel that special bond. I wish you luck on your journey if you decide to try this out :)
I am here with a different question. I have been pumping and giving my 1 1/2 month old bottles. She’s not latching on anymore and only wants bottle now. What can I do to do both and have her latch on again.
Sometimes a nipple shield can be a useful tool to help transition a baby back to the breast. Check out my nipple shield video for pros and cons of nipple shield use, I also have a video to help you wean form the shield as needed
Currently trying to increase my supply at 4.5 months. My baby is in the lowest percentiles and everyone tells me she’s so skinny so I want to increase my supply :(
You are doing a great job mama. As long as your pediatrician isn’t concerned, some babies are just in the lower percentiles. All the percentiles are considered within normal range, As long as she is staying on HER curve and your pediatrician hasn’t expressed concern. But some of the tips in this video may help you boost your supply if needed. Sending you well wishes 💕
Yes! it is definitely ok for your baby if you attempt to relactate. Try not to feel guilty, we are all just doing the best we can and I am sure you are an awesome mama. If formula feeding is right for your family, that is ok or your baby too! However, you may really enjoy the process of skin to skin and reintroducing your baby to the breast. Best of luck on your journey ❤
My baby was In The nicu for a month . She was born premature. She was so tiny she couldn’t latch . She’s 4 months and I been giving her formula and it’s been frustrating cuz I have try everything for her to latch but again I won’t push her . But I want to re- lactate and pump so I can give it to her on a bottle
You are so strong mama, having your baby start out in the NICU isn't easy. Sounds like your goal to start pumping to relactate is a great one! Best of luck on your journey.
I need help badly. 😢 I saw the local lactation consultant but not helping much. My baby is 11 days old. She has bottle preference. I had to supplement because she was dehydrated and lost weight. She doesn’t latch well and when she latch, she doesn’t transfer the milk much. She falls asleep on the breast and doesn’t want to wake up for feeding time. I don’t know what to else to do! I just ordered the feeding system to tryout.
I had a set of twins back in November of 2020 I wasn't producing enough! I recently stopped breastfeeding them at 3 months it's been hard being a full-time working mom and having twins. I would love to continue to feed my twins longer! I'm hoping I can try again here I feel like I died up is it possible to bring my milk back again? I feel discouraged I fed my oldest for about a year my daughter for 6 months. Help me please!
Congratulations on your twins! Working full time and having twins are definitely two demanding roles. Just do what you can and make sure to enjoy those babies and get in all the skin to skin and snuggles you can.
@@KassiReyes aww... thank you! I'm hoping I can Relactate to get my milk back I will definitely do as much skin to skin contact especially since these are my last babies! Thanks for the love and support. 😊
How long will it take to get full milk supply? I am in 9 weeks postpartum. From the day 1 my girl is not latching well and she is not interested at my breasts. I am giving formula for the whole. But from the 3rd week, I have started pumping full time at least 7 times a day. But for the 2 weeks I am doing pumping for 7 to 9 times including frequent pumping sessions. Still I am getting 50 or 60 ml breast milk for the whole day. Really I am feeling guilty. Could you please help me to increase my supply? I have tried fenugreek supplements and some lactation cookies. My doctor haven't prescribed any medications to improve milk supply.
Wow, It sounds like you are doing ALL the right things, I don't think you should feel guilty at all. There are some things that may help improve your supply, like pumping with a hospital grade pump (not sure which pump you currently use). Working one on one with an IBCLC may be in your best interest. Feel free to click the link on our profile to book a virtual visit with us, otherwise I recommend looking for an in person IBCLC near you. Remember, even that 50-60ml that you are working so hard for, is POWERFUL and SO beneficial to your baby. You are amazing.
@@KassiReyes Thank you Kassi. You gave me a positive feeling. I am using medela swing maxi double pump and pumping 30 mins each session with medium setting. Also I have an appointment with LC next week. Thanks again.
I'm EP right now but really want to put her back to BF again but baby is already almost a year old, is it still possible for me to let baby relatch again? Would really love to know, thanks
It is certainly possible, it may take a little patience and time to get there. Encouraging bay back to breast will likely need to be more about snuggling ,skin to skin, and exploring. Try not to force anything when it comes to feeding and latching.
I had a galactocele too so they had to do incision. After the incision closed, for some reason, milk built up and made a big lump on the breast. I took antibiotics, didn't work so they had it aspirated after. That's why I ended up EP coz it was just so uncomfortable. Now I just wish I stuck to BF instead. So I'm just wondering if relactating it would be a good thing to do for me or not. Would love to know coz I'm at my wit's end
@@howtosewbags Wow! You have had a really difficult go at this. I am amazing at you perseverance and not surprised you are feeling at your wits end. Since you are still pumping, and you are still producing milk, I don't see and added risk to trying to get your baby back to the breast, you may just need to continue pumping as well at first to make sure you are still emptying the breast regularly as baby is relearning. It is up to you though. Do what feels right and manageable to you.
I want to start breastfeeding again because I breastfed my older three and felt extremely guilty for only breastfeeding #4 6-8 weeks. She's now 5.5 months so I'm scared it may not work.
Hi Annie. Thank you for sharing your experience. Mom guilt can be so real, right? But don't let it get to you, we are all doing the best we can with them and tools that we have at the time. The best thing to do with relactation is to set your goals and have a clear reason for why you are restarting. Your goal may not be returning to exclusive breastfeeding, and that's ok. Setting small goals can be encouraging and this way even if you don't get a full supply, you can still find comfort in the bonding and the possible added breastmilk for your baby. But it hasn't been that long since you stopped and you have breastfed 3 other babies, so you are starting from a good place and may have some great success. Good luck on your decision and your journey.
emma bair awwww mamá. That is really tough. I am sorry to hear that your journey had a rough start. Have you been considering relactation? You may find it to be a rewarding option!
Hi Kassie... My baby is 3 months old.. she had an ulcer on the palate which made it difficult for her to latch.. we moved to bottle feeding for abt a week and now she refuses to come back to breast.. i tried nipple shield with some luck.. i so want her to latch as she was before the ulcer however she starts crying inconsolably the moment she is in my lap for feed..
I had cracked and bleeding nipples so I had to give bottle to my daughter but want to breastfeed her again.. but also I'm a working mom will need her to take bottle later .. so I need combination feeding.. how can I do dis
Hi Kassi Thankyou for sharing the video. I was not able to breastfeed my baby because I have intense pain in my breast while feeding or pumping. So I have to give bottle to the baby. Pain goes after 22 days but till that time baby was use to of bottle. She is 50 days old now and I M trying daily to feed her. She takes breast for 2-3 or maximum 5 min and start crying after that because she don't want to take anymore and want bottle now Can you help me with that
I had issues with breastfeeding from the start. When my baby would latch, I was bleeding, crying cause it was so painful. Idk why I was so sensitive so it, but it became too stressful. I resorted to pumping and feeding him with a bottle which was way better for the both of us. But I ended up getting that dysphoric milk ejection where you become extremely depressed and have a flood of negative emotions. It was the worst I've ever felt. I switched to formula st 5 weeks, and now I feel so guilty 🥺 especially with the formula shortage going on. Now that I'm back to work, I feel like I can stay on top of pumping regularly now and pray I get my supply back 🙏🙏 good luck to all you mommas out there.
I’m in the same boat as you! Just know you are not alone. My baby girl is only 3 weeks old and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. She couldn’t latch at all when she was born so I pumped and in the beginning and it was enough milk but now I barley get any milk out and I pump for hours, it’s so frustrating but we can’t give up! I think we just need to keep going and eventually the milk will come back. Good luck to you and your baby
@@TheLongISLANDGIRLZ Hi, I think your baby is 7 months old now. I have 7 weeks old baby girl. I breastfed her first 2 weeks, but then I had sore and bleeding nipples. Then I stopped breastfeeding. I also did not know that I needed to pump to not lose my milk supply. I fed her with formula for 5 weeks. Now I got breast pump. I started pumping 6 days ago. I wonder how do you feed your baby now? Are you breastfeeding your baby?
My son will be 3 months old in 11 days, I was initially pumping because my son couldn't/wouldn't latch. I was only getting 1/2 an oz to 1oz per session and felt like It wasn't enough so we supplemented with formula. Honestly I just got lazy because it was easier to formula feed.
hi. my baby is 8 month old and after first 2 months he was averted probably because of nipple confusion. but I regret it deeply, miss the bonding, feel his nutrition deprivation and so on... after watching your video I am determined to try relactation. would it be possible 8 months postpartum?
Aww congrats on your little one and exploring your options for relactation. It is certainly possible at 8 months. Set small goals for yourself to start, and remember it doesn't have to be all or nothing. Best of luck mama!
I also have a 9 month old baby and my baby stopped taking breast after 3 months.First he would take breast at night but after I got really sick, he stopped taking breast completely. It's almost 6 months now.But I want to reestablish my milk supply and feed my baby my pumped milk in the bottle.Bcz I feel guilty that I m denying him the nutrition he needs. When I press my breast there are still some drops of milk.
I’ve stopped pumping for about 15 days and I have never felt to bad in my life. He’s never been on the breast before and I regret making that decision I would love to get him to latch a few times a day and take a bottle. I want to experience that with my baby since he’s gonna be my one and only
I was in the hospital for 4 days and was pumping but not getting any milk out due to illness and meds and they would not allow anyone under 18 in due to covid. I did not want to stop breastfeeding. She is still latching but not getting anything out.
That must have felt so frustrating to be in the hospital pumping and not seeing much output. Rest assured that it is very normal not to see a lot of milk in the first 3-5 days as your milk is transitioning from colostrum to mature milk. The fact that she is still latching is very encouraging and she may be getting more than you know.
I had an emergency c section when my son was born so I didn’t get to have the “golden hour” skin to skin and he spent a week in the NICU and I stressed out my body so much my milk didn’t come in at all and that was 10 months ago.. I pumped for about 4 months for him but my milk never came in.. I’m so ready to relactate ... I am going to try
That is amazing. Thank you for sharing your story and your decision to relactate. I wish you the best in this journey and am over here cheering you on. :)
Hello Ma'am. I am from the Philippines. I am on my 3rd week of relactation journey now and seeing no results. 😔 My baby is 3 mos old. Stopped breastfeeding her for a month and a half. I don't know what will I do? Am I doing right? Planning to exclusive breastmilk my baby when relactation is successful. Thank you.
I had my baby 2 months ago. Possibly breastfed about 5 times within the first week or so of my baby birth. He was born preemie and it was hard for him to latch. I was also feeling overwhelmed and resorted to formula. I want to restart my breast milk supply but I don’t know how. It is possible to restart after 2 months of not really breastfeeding or pumping?
Im a teenage mom. I’ve stopped breastfeeding when my baby is 8 months old. Shes a year old and a half now. Im seeing the bad consecquences of not breastfeeding so i wanted to lactate again so that my baby can be more healthy and our bonding can be more close
It is certainly possible, your chances are better since you have already breastfed for 8 months mama. Congratulations, sounds like you are doing an awesome job.
I am thinking about relactating because I am about to get a covid booster shot, and want to pass on some of those benefits to my baby via breastmilk. My baby is 4.5 months old, and we had latching issues. I exclusively pumped for a while, but my milk naturally dried up about 2 weeks ago. I’m trying to kickstart it again, in preparation for my booster shot in a week or so.
I have some problems can u please help me🥺 1- my breastfeeding wasn’t enough for my baby so from the beginning we started with formula feeding and i could able to pump 1oz per-day to feed the baby with it. Now I am pumping 4-8 times daily and i can see my milk supply have increased but it seems like still it’s not enough for the baby after each breastfeeding he seems not satisfied and starts crying asking for more milk so I have to feed him formula At the meantime after each breastfeeding i am pumping I don’t know when i can meet my baby’s milk needs ? He is 2 months old 2- he is not latching well on my breast from the 1st day till now he has been like that sometimes he is fine for a week, a weeks later he won’t . i have to use the bottle nipple to get his attention to my breast! What might be the reason?
Yes! It is possible to lactate even if you have never lactated before. The fact that you did for 2 months, works in your favor. Please let me know how I can support you.
Hi im a mom of a 4 month old baby. was breastfeeding my baby from the 4th day of my delivery but due to an edema in my aerola nd no pores in my nipple lead to breast engorgement at that time i did not know i dnt hve holes in my nipple....used an electric pump on an engorged breast nd it lead to an injury which was two inches deep nd one 1 inch wide....since my dressing for the wound was going on....milk was stopped with pills. so my baby got breast milk for the first 50days...now since the wound has healed i want to breast feed my child...but there is no milk😪 ....i hope i get milk nd i can breast feed my child again
Oh my goodness, you have had a hard journey. Congratulations on the 50 days you were able to breastfeed prior to the injury. Let's take a moment to celebrate that. You sound like a warrior. I hope if you decide to go down a relactation journey that you find lots of healing and success.
Hey momma’s, Being a mother of four (6,5,1,nb) who need me to do everything for them I decided I couldn’t breastfeed my nb. But he is a month old now and I have switched his formula 4 times now, he’s been fussy from gas and constipation and nothing is helping so We are going to reintroduce breastfeeding….inshallah I’ll be able to produce and get him back on mommas milk.
My poor baby hasn’t done well on formula at all and has so much gas. I just want to help his tummy. I also want him to get antibodies from my milk because it seems like there’s so much sickness going around right now.
My baby just had her tongue tie fixed. I'm only getting 6 ounces a day pumping every 2 hours during the day and 4 at night (8-12 times a day). I want to be able to exclusively breastfeed. I've been pumping since she was a week old and she is now a month and a half. I'm scared I won't achieve this. She is the last baby I will ever be able to have. I've worked so hard and been so committed.
Hi! I am sorry! It can be so tough to start out your feeding journey with these challenges! I know that tongue tie can be especially frustrating and challenging. It sounds like you are doing all the right things to protect your supply. There are a several factors that can affect your supply, such as certain medical conditions, which pump you are using, if baby has start doing some latching. I you aren’t already working with a Lactation consultant near you, that could be a helpful option. If there is no one around you, a virtual visit could also work for you . See www.peopleslactation.com. And remember: even that 6 Oz you are getting is sooo good for your baby!! You are an awesome parent 💜
PLEASE HELP ME My is almost 12 weeks. For 4 weeks she could barely suck. I went from 9 pumps to 10-11 pumps a day (and I am still doing it). I make sure 2 of pumps are between 2am-6:30am. I Also drank 2-4 mothers milk tea, 4-8 goat’s rue pills, 2-4 ginger tea, 100-128oz of water (yes I get thirsty and I am not over drinking water) a lot of cuddling and holding (I mean pretty much the whole day except when she's sleeping). She refuses nipple shield even when I tried 4 times with the help of lactation consultant. I recorded everything and still do. I met with 4 different lactation consultant and I was folliwed for 2-3 weeks by one of them. I went from producing 2 oz to producing 12+ oz more than what she consumed. Here is where I need help and where our breastfeeding journey started: At 6 weeks we started our breastfeeding and it went somewhat well for 3 1/2 weeks. What I me She's had tongue and lip tie release and I got super sick within 48hrs. She was bottle fed during those 2 days and then completely rejected the breast. I forced because I didn't know any better which made it worse. During these 3 1/2 weeks I pumped right after each feeding for 5-7 minutes to remove the excess. I did 8 to 11 feedings. But in my opinion, my worst issue is this-> between 3pm-9pm I have slow flow and 1-3 out 4 feedings/pumping I don't produce enough milk or it's slow and the exact amountshe drinks. I tried feeding her within an hr so several days (5+), pumping right afer, not pumping for 2 or 3 feedings, you name it, NOTHING WORKED. We had to give bottles to supplement each of those nursing during the 3 weeks 1/2 of nursing. Often ti mes she refused the breast so was fed only by a bottle. Now she's 12 weeks. Soon (within 2 weeks) I want to restart. QUESTIONS(Please help): 1.How can I overcome this slow flow/low production in the afternoon early evening? 2. Since she doesn't consume what I produce, is it okay to pump right after every feeding for 5-7 minutes? Should I skip during the slow flow/slow producing hrs? 3. How can I nurse without needing to supplement with the bottle? PLEASE HELP ME!
My baby is 18 months now i ft regret and 😢very sad when i see my baby what i done mistake is im working women because of she feeling seperation anxiety and not taking food ...now this is 8th day im regreting every minute and cry y i made this mistake....😢😢😢
I'm here because I've had a rough start to try to breastfeed but have been pumping flat out this whole time(baby was premmy and we were in hospital for a month but he's doing really good). I have decided to give it a proper go again as we do have success sometimes. I've had to use nipple shields but I got a bigger size as I don't think the one I've had is big enough. I've definitely thought maybe I should just give up but my little one still loves trying to latch on without a nipple shield so I am just going to keep trying for now(oh yeah my nipples are flat hence the problem...). He's just over 4 months now.... One problem I sometimes have though is that he pinches my nipple sometimes , why does he do this and how can I try and stop that ? Thanks for the video
Congratulations on your baby and for making in 4 mos into lactation. It can be so hard, especially if your baby starts out in the NICU. Babies amaze us at their eagerness to keep trying to latch 💕. Keep pumping to protect your supply. If you nipple shield wasn’t fitting properly, that can lead to a pinchy latch. Also check out my video video on deep latching for more help. Thank you for being here
My son is 2 months and I went from pumping 4 1/2 oz to well under 1oz. So I’ve been supplementing with plant based formula which I hate. So I’m trying to up my supply so he actually gets full from breastfeeding alone.
This is a great video! I have just watched after wanting to relactate. I had my little boy 7 weeks ago, I breastfed for the first 24 hours and stopped after that. I regret it massively, is this possible to relactate? Xx
Congratulations! It is possible! Set your goals and figure out what part of relactation is most important to you. With some good determination and patience, I hope you see the results you are hoping for :) Thanks for watching.
I smoked prior to pregnancy (nicotine vape) and after having my daughter she was in the nicu for 1 month. so i pumped at home. i did great at first and was producing a lot, but then i got stressed with the baby being away from me. i fell into depression and severe anxiety, STUPIDLY i started vaping again. i slowed down with pumping and my milk supply diminished a lot. baby is home now and on formula because i can’t stop vaping and i don’t want her to get nicotine through my milk. i feel so guilty and i WANT to breastfeed. i pump once-twice a day just to try and keep a small supply. i get MAYBE 1oz from each size everyday. i want to quit vaping and breastfeed but i feel like such a failure. i’m 7 weeks postpartum now… is it too late to try and start breastfeeding? i really need help 😔
My why is that I was starting to get sore nipples, clogged ducts and my living situation. I also wanted to enjoy the rest of my maternity leave. But I felt guilty and wanted that bonding time. I knew I could do atleast 2-3 breast feeds a day.
Have you successfully relactated? Share your story below to motivate other parents :)
Thank u so much it helped me alot
May u be blessed with the best.
I stopped breastfeeding at two months , now she is 9 months, is it possible to try relactation?
@panganotambala6990 did you end up trying? Im at 9 months too
What would be a good relactation schedule, like the how long should each pump be and how many time should I be pumping?
Congratulations!
how long did you pump for with each session?
Thank you so much for this, I'm feeling very discouraged right now and needed this advice.
@@handbookforthehotmess hi mommy how are doing now? I started pumping month ago from 175ml in 24 hours when my child needs 640ml lol. Now I have 400 ml pumping every 3 hours and keep going.
Same here let me try
Thank you Kessi for this video. I've been watching your videos alot. I struggled alot with my newborn to latch but he couldn't so I introduced the bottle feeding with formula on day 4. I almost gave up because my milk supply was also very little.. We're now 2 months and he's latching so we'll despite my milk supply being low but I'm happy he does breastfeed..
New moms keep trying it will work eventually
My problem was same.... Plz give me some suggestions.... My baby is 3mnths old... Plz
How did u do that ??
Please tell us the process you tried
I am about to start my relactation since i realised that breastfeeding is best for babies and really missed the midnight moment with my little one. Thankyou for the knowledge you've shared
Rosh Guibao you are welcome. So happy for you and your little one. Best of luck with starting the process, you got this! :) thank you for stopping by, so happy to have you here.
Hi Rosh. How was your journey?
I'm here because I am debating breastfeeding my 4 month old again. We struggled to breastfeed over the last 4 months.. I successfully breastfed her for 3 months and just recently stepped away and am pumping and feeding her my milk through bottles and supplementing with formula.
Welcome Maggie. Thank you for sharing your story and your experience. It sounds like if you decide that Relactation is right for you, you could have some good results. :)
I’m on the same boat had a stressful move stopped breastfeeding for two weeks now my baby doesn’t want to breastfeed at all and I’m drying up 😩😩😭😭
I want to re-lactate so badly for many reasons but I miss the bond and I know the health benefits are just incredible and unbeatable! I have not for about 3 months, my baby girl is 7 months old. I really appreciate this video, it’s helped me a ton!! ❤
yay! I am so happy you are finding the info helpful. YOU"VE GOT THIS. All beautiful reasons to re-lactate. Keep me posted on how it is going!
I hope your journey is going great. If possible, Please can you post an update on how is it going? It'll be an inavaluable insight for us moms.
Glad to hear your baby is doing well 💜 how did it go?
I absolutely can relate
@@hopeovchinnikov9554 So wonderful!! How did you manage to do it?😀
@@suvigrace6956 I’ll be honest it was so hard I wanted to give up many times.

Im trying to bring back my supply after 4 days of weaning!! I regret switching to formula hope i can achieve my goal💪🏻😥
I had a bad c section n postpartum. I want that bonding feeling again. I’m mentally more capable now n want to try again
Good for you mama for wanting to try again. I can totally relate. I recently had a very hard recovery from a c section and understand how hard it can be to establish breastfeeding when your own body is going through so much. You can do this! Hugs
What would be a good relactation schedule, like the how long should each pump be and how many time should I be pumping?
great videoooo... i have been searching for.... God bless you.... i'll try all of the guidance... nd will share my experience... ❤❤❤
No problem! Did you decide to try to relactate?
Thinking about going back to it given formula supply has gone down by a lot and can not find her formula anywhere.
I miss that bond so much
And I'm sure he does too.
I've ordered a electrical breastpump to help my milk supply hopefully we will get there
Same here, did u start to relactate and succeed?
hii kassi, let me know that we can restart breast feeding after 3 months of gap. is it possible?
I was assuming my baby didn't get enough milk from my breast and i was giving him formula milk in addition to breast milk but after 2 months he refused for the breast and i am trying my best to return him back to breast feed
You got this 🫶
Great video .
I was told by my last lactation consultant the I might as well just stop crying because I wasn't producing enough barely an ounce instead of helping me get it going they made me stop it's been like 3 or 4 months since I stopped my baby is 7 months almost 8:00 and I really didn't want to stop and she made me feel bad about it is there anything I can do
Day 2 of trying to relactate. How long does it take to even get drops?
💪🏽💪🏽 you are awesome! Each person is different and it also depends on how long you have lactated in the past and how long since you stopped. Give it a week or two and try your best to be patient :)
Baby had lip and tongue tie corrected at 2 weeks. After that procedure, latching was hard. Since then I have exclusively pumped and bottle feed. I miss that connection with baby. I would like to continue to pump while at work but would love to breastfeed baby when at home. Supply is still up!
Thank you for sharing! How are things going for you?
Such valuable information many wish they knew when they started. Welldone Kassi...👍
Zoe Maven thank you for the positive feedback! My goal is to make good and evidenced based information available to families who need it
My son breastfed great up until he got a cold and he completely stopped drinking from the breast.
Which pumps are considered hospital grade?
Did your milk supply eventually return?
Interested also as I’m trying to relacate after almost two months away from it. Baby is 3 months.
How did it go? I also feel so robbed. I'm at 9 months pp now and haven't had milk drops since month 4 or 5.
I work M-F 5-8pm and even when I’m not working, I honestl despise pumping. Would it be worth it for me to try if I can only really commit to pumping a few hours a day? And not at night? Or is that the main requirement?! I can deal with it every few hours, but don’t want to at night time
Something to be noted, I am not expecting to fully breast feed. I’d be happy with a few times a day!
I seriously need help, I tried lactation cookies and domperidone. They worked the first time but soon stopped working
Appreciate the reply, I will certainly look for a lactation consultant
I had my first baby didn’t really know what I was doing, nurses and midwives weren’t very helpful either. I didn’t produce milk straight away so they gave him formula. He does latch on but I was barely producing 1 feed a day now I’m down to about 10ml my baby is now 5 months but I really want to breastfeed him I’ve never given up. Is it still possible? What do I need to do to change this please help
Is there any advise or video on breastfeeding to bottle (pumped milk)?
Hi! Not yet, but this is a great suggestion. I would be happy to add it to my list. Do you mean switching to exclusive pumping and bottle feeding, or introducing a bottle sometimes? You may find my video on paced bottle feeding helpful
I breast fed for a month and a half and was severely pressure to quit . And I did my daughter is about to be 6 months and I really wanna restart
Thank you for sharing this. This makes me so hopeful
Hi, are you successfully Ebf?
So I guess I'll see where this goes!
can this still work after i stopped for 3 weeks
Yes it can. :) wishing you luck on your journey
Though am not thinking of relocating right now but i really enjoyed this video
vivian johnson thank you for watching! I just subscribed to your channel, your content is great and your personality is so fun
My son is 2.5 and has gut issues and I’d love to exclusively breastfeed him but idk if he will even latch or even take breast milk at this point.
I am on day 3 of pumping and feel like I'm getting no where :(
It can take a few weeks to feel like you are "getting somewhere", I know it's frustrating, but you got this :)
@@KassiReyes thank you so much for the feed back I appreciate it ❤️
@@tatianasaintvil6476 hi Tatiana. How is your journey going on?
Can you updated About your journey ? I want to relactate my 7months Old baby.
I’m here because of the formula shortage. My 6 month old has an allergy that requires a specialty formula that is on backorder across the country.
I'm giving formula feed from new born now she is 6 months I want give breast feeding I'm feeling very guilty of bottle feed so is this okk for my baby
Yes! it is definitely ok for your baby if you attempt to relactate. Try not to feel guilty, we are all just doing the best we can and I am sure you are an awesome mama. If formula feeding is right for your family, that is ok or your baby too! However, you may really enjoy the process of skin to skin and reintroducing your baby to the breast. Best of luck on your journey ❤
Same problem facing

It can be so hard to work through a tongue tie. We are working on the same after my baby’s TT was released. It is not easy, but you can do it!
Hi, Im 8 months PP, may I used SNS method even if my baby is already 8 months old? Thanks
Sure! It can be a helpful way to encourage a baby of any age back to latching.
I'm in a similar position and if you wanted to share any progress, I would love to know :) thanks
Good luck on your decision and your journey.
my son is 4 months and i stopped breastfeeding him around a month. i see all these moms breastfeed and it hurts that i couldn’t keep going.

Hi Kassi
Thankyou for sharing the video.
I was not able to breastfeed my baby because I have intense pain in my breast while feeding or pumping. So I have to give bottle to the baby. Pain goes after 22 days but till that time baby was use to of bottle. She is 50 days old now and I M trying daily to feed her. She takes breast for 2-3 or maximum 5 min and start crying after that because she don't want to take anymore and want bottle now
Can you help me with that
I had issues with breastfeeding from the start.
@@TheLongISLANDGIRLZ Same to you lady! We got to keep on keeping on. Hope you and your baby girl are doing well!
How should the breast milk look like when relactating?
hi. my baby is 8 month old and after first 2 months he was averted probably because of nipple confusion. but I regret it deeply, miss the bonding, feel his nutrition deprivation and so on...
after watching your video I am determined to try relactation. would it be possible 8 months postpartum?
I want to experience that with my baby since he’s gonna be my one and only
It’s not too late 💗💗💗
Do u think its really posible to gain my breastmilk again?
It is certainly possible, your chances are better since you have already breastfed for 8 months mama. Congratulations, sounds like you are doing an awesome job.
Did your baby get sick when you said you’re seeing the consequences
I am thinking about relactating because I am about to get a covid booster shot, and want to pass on some of those benefits to my baby via breastmilk. My baby is 4.5 months old, and we had latching issues. I exclusively pumped for a while, but my milk naturally dried up about 2 weeks ago. I’m trying to kickstart it again, in preparation for my booster shot in a week or so.
👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽💪🏽 that is awesome. You are so powerful.
I have some problems can u please help me🥺
1- my breastfeeding wasn’t enough for my baby so from the beginning we started with formula feeding and i could able to pump 1oz per-day to feed the baby with it. Now I am pumping 4-8 times daily and i can see my milk supply have increased but it seems like still it’s not enough for the baby after each breastfeeding he seems not satisfied and starts crying asking for more milk so I have to feed him formula
At the meantime after each breastfeeding i am pumping I don’t know when i can meet my baby’s milk needs ? He is 2 months old
2- he is not latching well on my breast from the 1st day till now he has been like that sometimes he is fine for a week, a weeks later he won’t . i have to use the bottle nipple to get his attention to my breast! What might be the reason?
Is it at all possible to relactate after 6 months bottle feeding 8 mo. Post partum?
PLEASE HELP ME
My is almost 12 weeks.
Here is where I need help and where our breastfeeding journey started:
At 6 weeks we started our breastfeeding and it went somewhat well for 3 1/2 weeks.
QUESTIONS(Please help):
1.How can I overcome this slow flow/low production in the afternoon early evening?

Aww mama, that’s hard. If you need help troubleshooting or working on your supply we could set up a virtual consult. See links down below
Did it end up going good for you ma’am ?
I am in almost the same situation like you.. May I know if you managed to relactate? And how is your baby doing . Thank you for your answer
My why is that I was starting to get sore nipples, clogged ducts and my living situation. I also wanted to enjoy the rest of my maternity leave. But I felt guilty and wanted that bonding time. I knew I could do atleast 2-3 breast feeds a day.
