Really interesting way to think about these killers. The scary thing with Kemper is how he’s the hero of his stories, overcoming his mistakes, not telling his victim that he was going to kill her … so gross!
Bundy’s expression for that glimpse of a moment when he gets interupted is truly terrifying. It’s like seeing the devil’s face. Also seeing how aroused he got remembering those unspeakable things is waking up some weird digust in me that’s frightening at the same time. Truly interesting episode! Thank you
Yes I believe Jeff didn’t like that women because before the interview started she was an out right bitch to him, so I think he said things to her in that intimating style to scare her because he didn’t like her. He didn’t at all behave that way with Stone Philips who developed a good rapport with Jeff before the interview began.
@@neeneeevans4340True. I think what many people overlook is the attitude of the interviewers. Some are very confrontational and kind of hostile. For instance, in the interview with Richard Ramirez that was also covered in this channel I believe, the interviewer was way too confrontational and aggressive in his questioning method. It came off as if he wanted to provoke Ramirez into giving him a reaction. It was really weird 'cause it seemed as if he was bullying the person he was intended to interview 😅
Yeah, Dahmer is the only one who I think had a great degree of genuineness, at least as far as his interviews go (obviously he was extremely manipulative elsewhere in his life). He didn’t usually seem concerned with either hiding the details of his acts or divulging them excessively. So I don’t have a hard time believing it was this interviewer specifically that he was trying to fuck with.
Love these videos! It really seems like Ed Kemper tried all along, in some sick, twisted way, to connect with people, but then his rage against his mother overtook him. He studied normal humans very carefully and can pass as a likable person better than any of the other serial killers. It’s so eerie when you realize it’s an act

I have lived in Wichita, Kansas for over 60 years and Btk terrorized our community for decades. We all kind of just forgot about the man because we all thought the killer maybe dead because we hadn’t heard about any mass killings for many many years, and then all of a sudden we found out that the police had finally found out who did the killings. It was quite a shock to our community. My first cousin and her husband were extremely close friends with BTK and his wife. They had him and his wife over to their house quite often. Both couples were very religious and BTK was I believe a deacon at his church. Both Btk and my cousins husband also were Boy Scout leaders and they did this also together. It’s so strange to think that my cousin and her husband were such close friends to this man. I’m so glad they finally caught this man.
That *is*s very freaky! It goes to show that one never really knows what might be going on inside someone else's head, or their life, no matter how 'normal' they seem--even how much of an upstanding community member.

Thhat's the best explaination of Ed i've heard. He's a story teller. He gets pleasure from a good story. He knows he has stories people want to hear but he always falls short of displaying a connecting emotion that we can relate too. So his stories are like a never ending cliffhanger. It's like he sees the world as a video game. It's like he's trying as hard as he can to show normal emotion but he constantly disappoints himself. Just leaves a hollow feeling to his audience and he knows it.
Bundy looking at the phone reminds me of Anthony Todt. Whenever he got interrupted in court he would also look so mad. He was a well loved and respected physical therapist who lived in Disneyland in Florida who ended up found guilty in his family's horrific murders. He lived with their bodies for a long time. Such a strange case. In court he he looks so arrogant but I don't know if it's true arrogance or just his posture. It would be another interesting case to learn more about body language.
As a young woman, serial killers were frequently in the news. My university gave us instructions on how to assess safety as nurses hours are not 9-5, hospitals aren't in well lit areas and we walked long distances to park our cars. Fascinating videos this week. Love the contrast. I have begun to ponder a bit on this... is there a common factor neurologically for all these people to lack empathy and are compulsed to be a predator? Is there any medication or treatment that would cause them to feel empathy or be more like real person? It must be hard to get real data from people who are so manipulative and chameleons from such tests.
We have a pretty good idea of the areas of the brain that are most impacted, underdeveloped, etc. At this time, there's no mediation that will increase empathy, but there are some treatments. One of my areas of specialty is working with personality disorders. So, it is possible for some psychopaths to improve their empathy and insight to some extent, but I doubt it would be very effective for extreme cases like these. It also requires a tremendous amount of time and patience from the patient, and most of them don't have the motivation to stick with therapy long enough for any tangible change.
There was a study done in Norway where they had inmates doing yoga and meditation. If I recall correctly, they ended the study before it was finished because it was turning up too many unfamiliar feelings (of empathy) in them. Yoga and meditation both cause the area of the brain that has to deal with empathy to increase. It actually causes an increase in gray matter in the pre-frontal cortex. I wish they'd continued.
This is an interesting neuorological/societal concept. I, like most people, do not have much capacity to care if these serial killers get treatment because they have no remorse and are perceived as evil. They could be locked away forever or get capital punishment and it doesn't bother me at all. But this idea has sparked a couple of questions I have not really considered before. Maybe if evil people are by-product of their neurobiology and environment: 1. Would an ethical punishment be to try to make them feel empathy or remorse for their crimes in mandatory treatment? From what i have seen is many victims families seem very upset when a perpetrator feels no remorse. 2. Could we make society a better place overall by teaching this at younger ages? Potentially preventing crimes, helping stop cycles of violence, making more empathy, and more caring overall. I know these are high level philosophical propositions in a very complicated reality with many socio-econiomic and mental health epidemics. There is no practical silver bullet in the world. But the concept makes me think a bit. Anyways, my 2 week vacation is ending soon and I have far too much free bandwidth to ponder such things I have zero expertise or experience in lol. Very much enjoying this channel and coversation as my psychology learning hobby

Terror and mayhem inflicted from origin in Pacific Northwest to final moments in Florida. All the while, person who lived with him at first totally oblivious. Amazing.
I think Kemper is unique because he is so highly intelligent. I know people also say Bundy was intelligent, but I think he was too obvious and creepy. There’s something unassuming about Kemper that would put one at ease… I think Kemper would come across is the awkward dorky guy trying to get your attention in a bar versus Bundy who is the overly slick politician type guy who’s trying to get in your pants. Both are horrendous people, but I think Kemper would’ve been a little bit more disarming. Perhaps people would equate awkward with harmless. Bundy just seem like a slimy rifting creep.
I remember Anne Rule, she described working next to Bundy on a crisis phone line in a house that resembled the house from Psycho, and feeling safe with him. She wrote about her experience with him in her book "The Stranger Beside Me".
I love body language- it’s my side hobby- ever since I was fooled by Susan smith- it was so clear once you know that she killed her baby’s ,and look back at her news interviews - having the interviews explained by body language experts-from that day forward I’ve been interested in body language-I look forward to all your videos now that I’ve found you👍
I had an idea about a Dr G episode. Rita Pangalangan and her Boo Larry King. They were just found guilty and have been sentenced. Something else interesting, I found out today that she has another daughter named Ashley Pangalangan. This girl has a toddler and a 6 month old baby. One week after her Mom killed Cristina (Ashley's Sister) she locked her own kids in a hot car while she shopped in Walmart. Her kids survived. I wondered what you might make of that?

Dr. G your amazing dude. You’re like a real superhero with powers Lolol. I love your videos!!!!
Ted Bundy is reminding me of the evil villain with those hand movements and being kind of hunched over. Muah ahahaha!
@@kate-pure yes.
Excellent video great stuff
I just found this channel and subscribed... I was looking at BTK videos and found your channel 👍☕🚬
So interesting!! Frightening, but interesting.
Fantastic analysis. Thank you Dr G.
please do video of david gregor from treadmill abuse trial. i'm really trying to figure him out
Can you also look into Diane Downes. I would loveeeee to hear a breakdown of her interviews.
Love this format!!! More please.
Your well rounded assessment is excellent i came to many of the same things and picked up on things you didn't have time to go over. I studied psychology and body language for reasons that are personal and it was always a natural pull. Please do longer videos you're one the best I've come across without being bias or focusing on prince Harry and Megan constantly for views.
This is so well done
I love this channel
Loveeee these videos!!! I’m a true crime junkie and to learn about their psyche is so cool
Same here. I enjoy the whole concept of this channel.
You are doing an amazing job. I'm very impressed by your knowledge.
Terror and mayhem inflicted from origin in Pacific Northwest to final moments in Florida. All the while, person who lived with him at first totally oblivious. Amazing.
Kudos to ya DR. G. Personally,I find this calming that I dont have to B all that upset about monsters.I ask, is there Bianchi vids?
Really interesting 👌
Great format!
This was a fascinating way to analyse these serial killers.
These videos are great man
Bundy is still interesting as psychopathology to this day.
im 17 and this interests me soo much! It was so creepy when Ted Bundy's facial expression changed quickly when interrupted, his eyes...😳
I remember Anne Rule, she described working next to Bundy on a crisis phone line in a house that resembled the house from Psycho, and feeling safe with him. She wrote about her experience with him in her book "The Stranger Beside Me".
This was very interesting.
WoW..that was so interesting..one thinks they are all alike.
Could you do the Sledgehammer Killer
I love body language- it’s my side hobby- ever since I was fooled by Susan smith- it was so clear once you know that she killed her baby’s ,and look back at her news interviews - having the interviews explained by body language experts-from that day forward I’ve been interested in body language-I look forward to all your videos now that I’ve found you👍
The minute when I saw Susan Smith on TV, I knew that wasn't a true grieving mother. Was not surprised when she was arrested a couple weeks later.
Dope episode 💯💯
I had an idea about a Dr G episode. Rita Pangalangan and her Boo Larry King. They were just found guilty and have been sentenced. Something else interesting, I found out today that she has another daughter named Ashley Pangalangan. This girl has a toddler and a 6 month old baby. One week after her Mom killed Cristina (Ashley's Sister) she locked her own kids in a hot car while she shopped in Walmart. Her kids survived. I wondered what you might make of that?
Great channel ❤
Speaking of SKs have you heard of Israel Keyes would love to hear your thoughts on him
Off the top of my head, I don't think I know much about him, but I'll look into his history. Thanks!
@@drgexplains oh ok he's terrifying and very very planned out. He's not talked about to much either. Thanks for the reply and your videos appreciate hearing your analysis and thoughts on these cases.
Also Samuel Little. And he’s even a more recent one. I don’t ever see anyone talking about him.
@@rumham7466 I had a couple of requests for him on my latest Ed Kemper video so I'll plan on a Samuel Little video in the near future!
@@drgexplains awesome!
Watching Nancy Glass's eyes when Dahmer says "Cannibalism." 😳
Wow so interesting, you are brilliant!
