If you just had your child kidnapped out of your house, you would NOT leave your remaining children alone sleeping in their bedroom. You'd wake the remaining children up right away and ask them if they saw or heard anything.....and keep those children right next to you. They didn't know if the perp was still in the house hiding. The actions of the parents tell me they KNOW that there is no one hiding in the house.

i used to smile at everything. all the time. and most imortantly, i will start smiling right before i have an anxious episode or a panick attack. i learned from a therapist that smiling can be a form of self soothing, trying to sooth negative emotions from overwhelming. its a coping mechanism for sure.
I used to react with a smile to certain situations until I noticed the reactions around me. I wasn't happy about what was going on, my smile was a nervous reaction. I learned to change that over time and look concerned instead of nervous smile.
Great example of how a common, garden variety behavior can utterly ruin a life. Surely a system so out of touch with reality is worse than no system at all.
Burke gave it all away in the interview after the event. He uses the term “killed” and is hitting himself over the head with the toy. He had a history of aggression and violence towards JB.
You don't think it possible that he heard any of the many adults say it; including the police in and around the situation at the time? "Where's my baby?! What if she's been killed?!"
My autism/aspergers was difficult enough for my parents (father with aspergers, mother NT). It must have been a tremendous challenge for his mother, who was so social and invested in appearances. After many years practice I can mimic NT for 15 to 20 minutes but I have to invest a great deal in it, and my responses to questions suffer. It's very draining and almost ensures I'll be non verbal for several hours afterward. If I am interrogated, I drop all of the fake NT, which probably makes me weirder, but at least I can keep talking.
There are many difficulties to overcome. I know it's really hard for my son. Teen years are extra tough. There may be gifts that some have - not all - but there are many challenges.
He almost became child like when he was answering about the video of himself. Thank you all for spending your time teaching us. It's my favorite part of my week.😊
My sister tried to turn her only daughter into a star from a very young age and it really went nowhere but we also watched her only son get totally neglected. He couldn't wait to be away from his family. Its a very sad situation to watch. And Dad didn't get involved. Who really knows what happens in a childs life when growing up where one feels totally invisible.
Um.. I imagine most kids out there these days ARE neglecting. And feel neglected with their parents staring at their phones 24/7! And they give their kids a phone at 2 years old and neglect them.. this worlds about to get a million times WORSE!!!
When JonBenet was three she saw a pageant on TV and was enchanted. She started playing a game she called presenting. She would have her mom, dad, or Burke announce “presenting Miss JonBenet” and she would come out and sing and dance. A friend told Patsy that there was a pageant coming up in Boulder in a couple of weeks. There wasn’t much time but they made a costume and came up with an act. I think she sang On the good ship lollipop. She was runner up. Nobody forced JonBenet into pageants. She loved them. She just sparkled. Kids don’t do that if they are forced into something.

I planned to only watch 20 minutes before bedtime, but you guys reeled 🐟 me in! Fascinating analysis! Thank you Mark for your input on our tendency to default to negative conclusions when we don't understand what we are seeing. I had that assumption when it first aired, much like the rest of the world, but your collective analysis explains his behavior... and now that I understand, I feel bad for him for having to essentially prove his innocence his entire life. Thank you for your analysis!
@@TheBehaviorPanel Thank you for doing this video. Initially I thought he was creepy too but came away with a different perspective and truly feel bad for him. It makes me wonder how often the people we label as odd, creepy, weird are on the autism spectrum or have severe anxiety. Also, i've wondered about child-like behaviors. Like Prince Harry displaying 12 year old behaviors. Is it common for children who have experienced death or trauma to be stuck in the behaviors when it happened? And does therapy help them evolve those behaviors to more adult-like behaviors? I get sucked into Hallmark movies as well and The Good Witch!! The sleeves and cup of something warm was hilarious. Thank you for the information and humor!
I was in a long term abusive relationship and I had to learn how to keep still and my expression neutral and even though I’m out of that situation I still find myself exhibiting those behaviors, sometimes things like that can be shaped by trauma
Everyone says he smiles all the time and that’s normal for him, YET when Dr. Phil says people think he did it, he doesn’t smile so much. When it’s bad for him, he doesn’t smile. When talking about the murder of Jonbenet, he smiles.
Okay, so the peacock feather display behind Greg is very interesting... It's the first time we've seen it on the channel. It's a deviation from his usual background baseline. I think it tells us a lot. I'm just surprised Mark didn't pick up on it.
Bahahahaha Love this. I was waiting for an explanation on the background for Greg... However he mentioned his sister gave him the pageant smile idea. So I assumed he was at his sisters house.

This kid is close to home for me. My son is autistic, and I have nightmares my son will be misunderstood. The thought of him being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and being questioned by people who don’t understand. Keeps me up at night, and ages me
That DID happen to my son who has Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, which is a way of saying, "I'm sorry this vaccine went wrong and fried your child's previously normal brain.) Nightmare!!! He was accused of burglary and was so totally misunderstood. The police accused him of being "strange" because he was doing drugs, even testing him 6 times, convinced it just had to be drugs. When all tests came back negative, the court (who finally found him innocent of burglary) appointed him to take a Drugs and Alcohol class anyway, saying that we found a way to dupe the test and that was why he had passed it. 4 court dates, 6 therapy sessions and 2 months of drug classes and they finally realized this kid was not guilty of anything other than having a brain fried from a vaccine gone wrong. My poor son! Based on our experience, my heart goes out to this young Ramsey fellow! How confusing it must have been for him! Thank you Behavioral Panel for recognizing this young man's limitations.

You could have that video going at the bottom of the screen while you're talking and the video plays. It would help us to see what you see.
Sibling rivalry is a real thing. And it can be very dangerous/fatal if no parent intervenes. Before the murder there were reported incidences of Burke lashing out in physical aggression towards his sister. Also the time of year is significant. His sister was probably lavished with Christmas gifts. He may have felt jealous and angry. Just my theory
@@Moluccan56 killed her favorite kid? Sure. What would be her motive? I certainly wouldn’t buy the soiled bed theory, Burke was sh***ing on everything, why wouldn’t he have gotten it first?
@ you would have to understand how sick Patsy was. She wasn’t normal so you can’t apply any logic or reason to her motive. JB was a plaything, a toy dolly. Patsy lived through JB and her visibility vicariously. What normal mother sexualizes her daughter at ANY time of her life, never mind at the age of 6 and younger. I don’t know what made Patsy snap but she knew she had terminal ovarian cancer. She knew her days were numbered and she was terribly narcissistic. Her neighbours reported hearing Patsy screaming at Jon Benet on many occasions so imagine that there were times she did it without them hearing her. Her demeanour, the fake note, their actions after the police got involved, it’s open and shut for me. Patsy never appeared to be a grieving parent, she was arrogant and defensive. I am glad she is where she is, now.
Yes! I heard in a documentary that JB, Patsy, & John all got new bikes that year for Christmas.. but Burke didn’t get one because he already had one.. seems like just one of the many things Burke would be angry/upset about.
@@eltigre9171so true!! I thought this too. It makes no sense. Burke was so much worse all around. I don’t believe the parents did it. JB was their little angel. They definitely covered something up but it’s wayyy more likely that Burke or the other brother killed her. And if not them then an acquaintance or family friend.. I think it’s very unlikely it was a stranger since so much evidence points to Patsy writing the ransom note. She or John may have found JB and panicked. Idk.. this case keeps me up at night 😳🤯🤬 Justice for JonBenét 💖
I 100% agree with Chase, Burke appears to be on the spectrum. My grandson was diagnosed at 18 months and and smiling is his baseline, even when experiencing pain. Good call Chase.
There are so many commenters saying "Burke is on the spectrum." Yeah? So? That neither implicates nor absolves him of the crime. It only explains some of his odd mannerisms. But there are clear signs of deception in the childhood interviews, like him refusing to acknowledge his favorite snack, or what was in the bowl, because he knows what the significance is. It's a shame that wealth and privilege have allowed him to avoid justice.
A few things. Being a parent I / and my husband would have shook down the house several times looking for her. They apparently did not. 2) Patsy leaves Burke alone in his bedroom. As a mom and 1 child was gone, I would not have let him out of my sight, fearing someone was in the house and might hurt him too.
I agree that they all acted weirdly, but that's their baseline. They were always weird. Look you dress your toddler up as a slut and them have a free for all open house for anyone and everyone to come and admire your Christmas decor. The next morning she's dead in the basement. I believe the pedophile came to the very busy house tour, hid and laid in wait This, and especially not engaging their security system when the went for dinner . is all very irresponsible , even in a safe affluent town like Boulder.but not evidence of murder , especially not by a 9 year old in a huge house, asleep in his own room , alone looking forward tonight and I awaking to Christmas morning.,after around 100 people, Strangers had been in that house all day able to do ax they please. Jon Benet was a target for pedophiles through no fault of her own or anyone's. Only predators are at fault. Ad to interrogate a 9 yr old significantly disabled (by the way I can't think of an autistic person to have murdered) but anyway, had the puce not completely botched this investigation things likely would be solved . Alas they seem very consistent in botching same. Look at all Lori Vallow 's victims. The police took zero heed .
@@mrsbutterkup3849 it's very upsetting .. the police have to take more seriously suspicion of potential SLAUGHTER of girls, children And ALL. Police must Make PREVENTION their priority over body searches .

When she finally decided to call for backup, she's a asked John abd one of his friends whom she allowed in to search the house. This was a fairly LARGE house, about 4000 sq ft I think. Everyone was hysterical. Why did only one cop respond and screw up the crime scene,.
I saw the Dr Phil interview and could not get his smile out of my head. To me it indicated one thing but I had never considered autism! I've since known an autistic person and know that they are uncomfortable with prolonged eye contact and they tend to smile because it makes them so uncomfortable.
@@yarnpower yeah I don’t think the healthiest “families” tend to get into those types of things in general…. So all the kids are abused regardless to some extent…… just not as badly as they would be, forced into these “beauty” *cough*ped0 pagents..
It is no less healthy than young girls flouncing around in revealing outfits in gymnastics or ice skating. It is just the dirty minded who see a difference. However, in beauty contests people outside the families and judges are not allowed unlike with the scantily clad "athletes" doing the splits and other such moves in front of crowds of onlookers.
@@vernonfrance2974 I think the difference is that things like gymnastics and ice skating aren't built upon the foundation of aesthetic beauty being of the highest value. You don't win a ballet competition by looking good in a tutu or having your make up done a certain way.
@@vernonfrance2974 It's not about the revealing outfits, it's about the terrible environment it puts children in. Beauty pageants aren't healthy competitions, they're exploitative vanity parades where pushy mothers treat their daughters like Barbie dolls. With the case of Jonbenet's mother, it's certain she cared more how the beauty pageants reflected back on her with her friends than she did about her own daughter's well-being. And yeah, unlike skating and gymnastics, it does teach these girls from a young age to put value on aesthetic beauty. Just let kids be kids.
You guys are spot on about the smile!! My oldest daughter is Aspergers. When she was small, I had to teach her "normal" reactions so she wouldn't stick out in a negative way to her school mates. One of THE biggest issues I had to get through to her was NOT smiling if she got in trouble, even though she was innocent, because as I told her, "If the teacher is mad at you and you start smiling at her, it comes across as smarty pants! So whatever you have to do, if you can't wipe that smile off of your face while she is dressing you down, put your hand in front of your mouth and HIDE THAT SMILE!!!" It was one of THE most important reactions I had to drill her in. Autistic people do NOT react to stressful situations the same way neurotypical people do! It's quite often, the exact opposite! They aren't trying to hide how they are feeling. They are trying to diffuse YOUR discomfort and make you happy again.
@@lizj7217 Thank you! If I had a penny for every time people thought they understood my daughter, based on her confusing reactions, I'd be very rich. I've asked her many times why she would show one expression or do something weird that made no sense, and she was never able to explain it to me, often just saying, "I don't know" (sincerely). Intellectually, she knew it made no sense. But emotionally, it felt right to her at the time. It's heartbreaking, when you know your child is pure hearted but other's judge her actions based on neurotypical responses. :'(
I'm 99% sure that Burke hit her over the head with a flashlight, she screamed, parents woke up, they panicked tried to revive her, but she wasn't waking up. Then Jon took her down to the basement to set up a crime scene and Patsy wrote the note - there's a lot of references to Patsy's favorite book in the note and duh, the handwriting.
I think, since they were going to leave early the next morning, they were all up, planning to sleep on the plane. That explains Patsy''s make-up and Jon-Benet not being in a pull-up (which was usual because of the bedwetting). It also explains why her pillow was on the table, where the bowl of pineapple was. I think when that neighbor heard a girl screaming, it was Jon-Benet being chased by Burk for having stolen a chunk of his pineapple. I think he chased her around hitting her with things--his train track, the flashlight--then, Burk (a boy scout) tried to stop the bleeding with a tourniquet (the garrot), killing her. Then I think they staged the scene to protect Burk and also John, because the autopsy would show signs of SA.
@@agargoyle12345 there were definitely signs of SA. It was also in the autopsy report that her body had been wiped down with a wet wash cloth. Wash cloth fibers were found in between her legs and private area. It’s all in the book Listen Carefully. The DA went to extreme lengths to protect that family. And 10 year old boys are capable of doing nasty nasty things.
@@SharonDee333 I'm not arguing that the SA couldn't have been Burk--I think he was a budding sociopath--but he was small and underdeveloped for his age and at 9, he couldn't have been charged, it would have been ruled an accident. If it wasn't Berk SAing her, the motive to cover up the crime scene gets even stronger. I think everyone assuming the SA and the murder are linked might be a mistake.
I feel sorry for this guy. I want to say boy, because that is how he comes across. There are so many forms of child abuse and this whole pageant world is, for me, legally abusing children. He was a boy so had to take second best to the fame hungry mum living her dream through her daughter. Yes the smile is weird but his childhood world was weird and abnormal. All siblings fight. The poor kid didn't have a normal childhood so no wonder his body language is different to most of us. He comes across quite relaxed regardless, considering who he's in front of. I feel for him. His whole life has been about his sister when she was alive and still now when she is dead. He's another victim here.

Go to 52:05 it shows a stick tired to the rope used to strangle her, why would an adult need that setup to strangle a little girl? And the slenderman stabbing as well as other equally horrible attacks by children on other children has shown kids can and do kill.
@@sciencescripture , when he was questioned at 9 the detective asked how she died , he answered stabbing or knife , he was unaware exactly how she died. He never said anything about strangling at nine years old.
@@sciencescripture Did you take a good look at that rope and the way it was tied? That's not an ordinary knot and it's tied really tightly. This is a boy who's life was about his mother's dreams for the pageant world. Where would a nine year old learn to tie a knot like that? Would a nine year old know how to even tie a knot like that. I remember being nine and not having any know how like that and I had a freer lifestyle and more practical adults around me. I wouldn't have had the strength for a start. To tie a knot like that and have the know how, then actually strangle the child would take some planning and a lot of strength. Also she died in 1996 when Google wasn't even around, so unless they had S&M books around the house, or boating, where would he even learn how to strangle her? They don't seem like they were let out of sight to even pee in peace with a mother as dominating as that. On top of that he had to drag her body down to the cellar, unless of course the parents did, but then I'd definitely be calling the police on my own kid had he done that. Let's not forget that she was the mothers apple. I know kids have killed before but I've never heard of them being so sophisticated at that age. They set things on fire or perhaps get hold of a gun or even hit them with something. For a nine year old, as insulated from real life, as that boy, it'd be a miracle he could even tied his shoe laces let alone create a knot like that!

I sent the video of MM to my mother and she goes, omg, 2hrs! I can't watch all that. The next day she said she watched the whole thing and went back over certain parts. In a sea of mediocrity that is YT content, you guys are gold.
My first thought when I saw his smile was that he had picked up the fake pageant smile as a kid watching his mom and Jon Binet prepare for pageants. So your sister isn't alone, Greg.
Idk. I couldn't smile talk if say, my Mom was killed. That man-child shows NO affection for JonBenet. Regardless of being on the spectrum. One could still feel sadness.
@@r.c.miller6161 I just mean that we shouldn't expect him to show grief if he doesn't feel it. If he is autistic, this may be something he would have trouble with. And I would rather he be himself (as he is doing in the interview) than try to show emotion he doesn't have. I don't know if he is actually autistic, but I do know he was traumatized. That is another layer. I can't imagine what it would be like to be accused of murder your whole life on top of losing a sibling and later your mom. Anything he does in an interview would be disected by millions. I am glad that tbere are people like the panel who can do so with objectivity and logic.
Agreed. These four are evaluating his interview as though the story he's telling is what really happened. What happened is far from the truth. I'm really surprised at these 4. This is my first time seeing one of their videos, and I'm not impressed.
Sometimes I think they just all agree with the first one who speaks & gives his opinion. It would be better if they were honest with their opinions and disagree with each other, when they disagree. But I like all 4 gentlemen!!!! I’ve been subscribed for years. ❤
Just the same way it's odd that the McCanns twins never woke up with what was going on around them. Not even when being lifted out from their cots did they ever flinch or give a sign of waking up. The police noted their observation as ODD indeed.
Even father before coming cop. If I have the same situation, My husband or I one of us, need to stay with Berke for not losing or trouble like JonBenet cause still they didn’t know what happened. But they kept Berke in the bed by himself?
@constacechapman7900 Yes, it's odd that Burke was never awakened by parents or police to see if he heard or seen anything the night before or in the morning of. It's beyond believable
Probably bc they knew it was him The whole set up How did you use the ‘ garrotte?’ I learned it from you dad Think the implications It look adult like but infantile
His life ended at nine years old. Yes, he is alive but everything in his life from that point on was tragic. A young boy his whole world was changed. I have never thought he did it even when it happened. I suspected the mom but now think a family acquaintence and the parents covered for them. The parents were strange.
Actually, when he was a little boy he was quite jealous of the perceived attention that his sister got from their mother leading him to wipe his 💩 all over his sister's belongings. He really did resent Jon Benet and I would not be surprised if it ever came out that he had something to do with this case.

Didn’t they not realize the phone wasn’t hung up after 911 call and say “Burke what did you do” 2. Patsy handwritting and note came back inconclusive not negative for her match and stated exact bonus of husband 3. Burke had put Jon in the hospital in past for golf club to the head and autistic children are prone to random acts of such and lack in empathy. Plus past incidences over his favorite food pineapple like open in the kitchen night of murder and in Jon stomach in autopsy. He’d even shat in her bed before he hated her so much. They’d also went to treatment because of Burke touching her inappropriately 4. The whole family ran off to another state and refused to talk to police for four months after Also found guilty in court and evaded it somehow. Ridiculous how sketch cases were back then and lack of advancements
These men have bias judgements. theyve come up with the narrative he is a child answering not a man. So they've judged this as a child answering. Either he is autistic and did hit and does not know the rest that is why he was not adamant in denying harming his sister or he is seen as a a non spectrum adult and could be lying if we consider his body language as a nervous man not child after so many years. So this does not help at all. Cant ignore facts for so called expertise that can be wrong and never really hard proof and is dangerous if not used as a guideline tool only.
When I was six years old, I was given an IQ test. I only got one answer wrong - when I was asked, "What are windows made of?" My answer was, "Molten and compressed sand." She counted it as wrong because the 'correct answer was "glass." When I pointed out that 'window' is essentially synonymous with 'glass,' she got mad. She went from a village primary school with 147 children into a secondary school aged 11 with 2, 300 other students. Having obvious developing mental health issues (now diagnosed as bipolar and borderline Aspergers) she could not cope in these overwhelming surroundings. She was a victim of perpetual vicious attacks from bullies which only made her situation worse. She ended up being classed under the term ‘school refusal’ where the school and education authority only succeeded in giving me a near nervous breakdown, my daughter trying to take her own life 4 times, her running away to other counties several times and landing me in court (I had no lawyer, but stood my defence and was only fined £5!!) for not succeeding to keep my child in secondary education. They even tried moving her round every secondary school in my area, at a horrendous expense (nearly 3 grand when I worked on the minimum wage) to me each time for school uniform. Hence she left school with no qualifications, but has since qualified as a manicurist/ nail technician and is running her own business as a successful and talented nail artist. She’s even had some of her work printed in fashion magazines. I’m incredibly proud of her. Not bad for a ‘school refuser’ and a kid thrown out of art college in her first week for not being very artistic!! Keep doing what you do, it’s your life and happiness that matters. Believe me it’s the nerds that will out-survive the rest of humanity.❤️
Very interesting comment Scott. It would explain a lot if Burke's parents believed he killed his sister and tried to cover for him with the ransom note. Never thought of this case that way.
Yes I agree, Diana. I thought it was odd that Patsy comes into his room saying “Where’s my baby?” I think this comes across as accusatory. This video was the first I had heard that he had hit his sister with a golf club and had done things with feces. But as a child with obvious problems, he needs protection too.
I think John did it.. maybe he convinced Patsy that Burke did it and they constructed a plan to cover. If the dad threw his socially awkward son under the bus, that is just.. well, he's a psychopath. I think the father is guilty. Hands down.
I hate to disagree but I don't think it is as simple as that. Attributing murder and violence with Aspergers is becoming a trend. Anything that can't be easily understood is being explained away as aspergers.
Never been formally diagnosed but I think I am too, feel sorry for the guy really as people made such terrible comments about his smile etc etc and its possible the guy is actually innocent, who knows.

Greg Hartley, in the video, he said "very quietly" and not "very silently," in the part referring to someone very quietly carried her down. Much respect to all 4 of you guys!!! Love what you're doing here!!!
This poor young man lost his sister in the most brutal fashion, had to see his parents accused and harassed, then he himself was accused. Thank you for helping to put his smile into context, pointing out his open body language, and to help kill the defamation of this unjustly vilified young man who has suffered far too much.
I was 10 when my mom told me that my dad died. I didn’t know how to respond so I reacted how people in movies did. I knew they were dramatic so I was dramatic. I wasn’t upset though, I wasn’t upset about it until months later when it finally hit me and I’m guessing he was in that same shock about his sisters death. I’m glad they didn’t deep dive on the videos of him as a kid, since they were at such a traumatic point of his life.
People on here are throwing science out he was cleared by police they found DNA which they know was male but it didn't match burk or the father . Also all the parents of autistic kids need to stop as Dr Phil said he was not autistic . He said it was anxiety .
Idk. 9 y.o. Burke doesn’t seem remotely disturbed at the thought of someone using a hammer on his sister‘s head. You can’t really blame people for thinking that he harmed her. There may be explanations for the inappropriate affect, but it’s still creepy AF!
There is a possibility of Autism or Psychopathy. Considering he was smiling and laughing at the funeral, meaning he does not understand manipulations and deceive tactics and or even self-perseveration, so it most likely Autism.
And it's so telling when he says "Whoops" at the same time he's mimicking her being hit on the head. That's his way of saying the killer didn't mean to kill her. He's confessing during the interrogation. I don't understand why the police didn't look into that more. I wonder if they looked for evidence of blood being cleaned up in the kitchen or around the whole house.
I would love to see you guys do an analysis of the OJ Simpson, If I Did It video, that was released several years ago. I think it would be a fantastic insight into the mind of a "killer". He says that he is using a great deal of supposed fantasizing, but I believe he's actually REMEMBERING what happened that night. It would be awesome to see your thoughts.
I am Asperger and this man is also. The movements he does with hands are also typical for spectrum disorder. I have no idea how body language can be applied to a neuro-typical person. I wish law enforcement and other authorities had more knowledge about how we act
Since so many austic, scatola , and asperger people seem to claim being extraordinary at understanding this family and burke, maybe you should form a team and solve the crime.
That doesn't explain his constant creepy smiling. You only mentioned his hand movements as being normal But cannot in good conscience admit his smiling is completely creepy and wrong
Doug Stine (Burke’s best friend) was the last person Burke talked to on 12/25, and the Stine’s were the only friends in the neighborhood not invited to the Ramsey’s after the 911 call was made. In the book Listen Carefully, Patsy’s handwriting samples are compared to the fake ransom note, and I’m not a handwriting expert, but her over use of exclamation points and her proper indentations of paragraphs was all I needed to see. It was also proven that Burke could be heard at the end of the 911 call. He was not sleeping the entire time.
I wonder if his DNA was checked. I bet the parents weren't expecting the DNA of a male to be found. But it helped to support their cover-up narrative. That DNA has helped to keep some innocent people from going to jail. @@chokmahhalacha3171
@@chokmahhalacha3171 The Stines. especially the wife, were Patsy's little terriers to continue the intruder theory. The 2 couples called to the house on that morning, were both accused by the Ramseys as possible suspects quite soon after. To me, I think they were deliberately chosen to be in the house in order to have DNA around the crime scene. In my opinion, Burke did it. Patsy wrote the note and John did the staging.
@@annamk8035 hello Swedish neighbor! Dutch here. Our panel has some repeating terms they use in their analysis and I was trying to say you could put them on a bingo card to keep track. As for Russel Williams, he is a former military man, who constantly tried to bring up his status and rank to the officers, to impress them or make himself more of an authority. This behavior is what the panel calls "resume statements" as he is quite literally listing his cv. Hope that clears it up!
On a episode that I was watching the mom called 911 and the operator heard that the mom and the brother and dad in the background whispering how is the brother in the bed when you can hear him on the 911 call non thought the operator has hung up.
It came out that the Grand Jury DID want to press charges against Patsy and John when those records were unsealed. Why that was not followed up on, we’ll never know. 🎉🧐🤔 Oh, yeah. Because he’s a rich guy.
As an autistic person who suffers from PTSD I would like to thank you four for educating the public about how our behaviours while different, do not point to guilt or culpability. A smile can also be a trauma response and this is a person who has been accused of killing his own sister when he was only nine years old
I think he may be have some form of autism or something and a lot of people here decide he’s guilty because of his mannerisms which is ignorant.of them.
The Ramsey family claims Burke isn't on the spectrum though. So it probably would have been better if they used a video of someone known to be on the spectrum for that analysis.
@@liquidmetal9647 lol And I'd also claim not to be on the spectrum & I'm teaching my son how to mask & "pretend" he's not autistic & that's a nightmare as it's not natural or easy. Have you any idea of the judgement, cruelty, bigotry & prejudice Autistic people suffer? People just don't understand it. Look at the comments on here for eg.
Why would kidnappers leave a ransom note for the parents just to murder her before they even see it? Why didn’t anyone search the basement long before she was found? This kid is supposedly socially awkward and doesn’t show emotion. Grinning ear to ear is an emotion.
One time when i was a teenager working at an ice cream shop my boss was scolding me for something and i was smiling so that i wouldnt cry. Eventually he questioned my smile and i was mortified! Smiles definitely can mean different things
My son is on the spectrum and yrs ago a lunch lady reprimanded him at lunch and he smiled...she took it to mean he was laughing about everything. He always smiled when he got in what he perceived was a stressful situation. She harassed him because of it. People don't understand that being on the spectrum shows up very off for 'normal' people. On the way to elementary school parties or sleepovers he and I would practice the correct responses to questions he may face, unless you've experienced it, it is very hard to understand. He is a beautiful person who just doesn't process social cues
Absolutely, I’m on the spectrum and definitely get my reactions and smiles “wrong” as the outside world would see it. Personally, I believe Burke is on the spectrum.
I was so afraid that I was going to have to argue with the four of you. Since this interview with Dr. Phil aired, I've always declared Burke was telling the truth. It's criminal the way people have falsely accused him of murder. So glad you agree with me!!! LOL
You're right. He sued Dr. Phil and CBS for this hatchet job and won. I'm sad that the panel admires Dr, Phil so much. He's a flim flam man, a fake psychologist who lost his license to practice, and a bully. Burke Ramsey, especially if he's on the spectrum. has had more than enough abuse. I agree with every word you said.
Exactly! All of the attention was on that beautiful little girl, she was somewhat famous, probably often complimented and praised by the family and friends for her beauty and talent.. And this boy might've felt like he was in the shadow, the weird one.. He could've done it because of jealousy, so that he would have his parents' love and attention all to himself. When the parents found her they might've decided to cover it up for his sake. Just a possibility..
saying for the sake of argument he's on the ASD spectrum: When he was a kid the most common form of therapy was ABA. That version of ABA in that era (it has changed some since then and there are different types of ABA) you are trained to smile all the time. Because reading the non verbal cues of others can sometimes be very hard, they used to teach kids to smile no matter what, as if the act of smiling would make people like them regardless of all other interaction. This is only speculation but I really think he went through ABA and that accounts for a lot of his body language.
Very Interesting... As someone who wasn't diagnosed with BP till I was 35, it is amazing to learn about autism. I exhibited some of the symptoms, but it was WAY before anyone even used the term Bipolar, let alone Autism. Can Autism be brought on by abuse or is someone born with it?
@@outofthegutterart5636 autism is the way your brain works and you're born with it. BP is a chemical imbalance in the brain that might be influenced by trauma. BPD (borderline personality disorder) is caused in part by trauma. Dissociative disorders like DID/OSDD is caused by trauma (this is not to be confused with non disordered plurality). We have DID so we've done layman's research on it.
@@outofthegutterart5636 Bipolar Disorder is frequently a co-morbid diagnosis with Autism. The only time I’ve heard of Autism having a cause is in “institutional Autism.” Kids who spent several years in Eastern European orphanages, for example, and were not exposed to reciprocal affection, sometimes go on to develop institutional Autism.
His guilty knowledge may be of his sister being abused. At age 9 he could have seen something that he didn’t understand and he lacked the maturity to process it. Family secrets may be buried with that unfortunate little girl.
For balance you should analyse John Ramsey.....there is an interview 5 days after murder (where Patsy is heavily sedated)....John Ramsey seems to feign saddness and quickly smile to himself. He is a full on "romancer" in every interview he does. He makes me feel very ill at ease.
@@briarrose29 Yes, that was a great analysis of Patsy Ramsey, she comes across as an extremely obnoxious, cold and condescending individual. It's gone 04:00 here now 🙈🙈🙈 goodnight/good morning 💚🇮🇪
@@fuzzyfreckle1341 Same thing in Australia with Lindy Chamberlain, the woman jailed for killing her baby when a dingo (wild dog) did.Lindy was cold, unlikable, immaculately dressed and seriously religious. Whatever happened in that house that morning was from within...to have two children, one constantly wets the bed and the other spreads extriment around the house and on food...something was definitely going on.both children were under pressure for sure, the little girl in beauty pagents and the boy most likely had to try and show a high academic level,I honestly feel the mother was responsible.
Yep. I've heard the bed-wetting is a sure sign of sexual abuse. They say Patsy was a lousy mother and housekeeper. At the very least, she imposed her ideas of fame like a stage mother on JonBenet and totally neglected poor - - what's his name? (I really just totally blanked on his name, LOL.)
I agree this feels heavily of child abuse. There is definitely more to the story. I personally think a friend of the father or mother might have done it.
Recomendation: the 2014 interview by Matt Lauer with Dottie Sandusky, (wife of Penn St. football coach Jerry Sandusky) She demonstrates MANY things you guys have taught us. Jerry at that time was already in prison and she insists he is innocent but fails miserabally in answering tough questions. PLEASE?
Anyone who knows how deep the pageant world obsessive parent gets you know this young man took a back seat from the day he was born probably feeling his mother was disappointed he was a boy and not another dress-up human doll. As a parent if you thought your kid was missing possibly abducted and was frantically searching for them wouldn't you scooped up your child in the dark bedroom and not let him go till you found the other child because of the possible danger?? Watching the Dr Phil clips makes me so uncomfortable I could hardly sit still. Listening to you guys analyse these clips taking the back story into all aspects of the story is why they are the best at what they do. I'm hooked and look forward to the next one
Bingo Furthermore the dad is successful but the mom still rules the roost so she was probably the aggressor when it came to criticizing their her son and she probably went well beyond what was acceptable.
also I would like to point out that his hand movements - he's touching each finger with the thumb - it's a common self-calming tick that some autistic people do. for some it can be rocking back and forth etc. It's called stimming.
I've always thought it was inhumane of Dr Phil to have done this interview w Burke without any acknowledgement that he may be on the spectrum. He knew how it would look and exploited this guy. I appreciate the panel weighing in (and Scott's theory at the end)
It's amazing how Oprah manages to bring people on-board because she believes they're brilliant in their field of expertise, when they actually possess neither. Neither does she. Hate when the Panel sucks up to anyone famous (except my Scott).
@@tenderheart7530 I feel the same. I don’t understand why people allow Phil to exploit them. It should be criminal to have anyone under 18 on his show.
Hmm.. now I believe I'd like to see a vid where you guys take apart different scenes from Lifetime movies and let us know *specifically* why the acting is terrible. This would play to Mark's expertise and Scott could curate the selection. :)
@@TheBehaviorPanel I'd like to see you disagree with each other sometimes? It looked to me in this video that Chase didn't agree with all that Mark Bowden was saying?
I saw a documentary on what the police did and didn't do during the work with this case and I can say that they handled the case super poorly, it was a total mess.
Linda Arndt was holding press conferences intimating she knew who the killer was, but she couldn't say. She came across as a bug eyed fool and very unprofessional. She knew squat because. the evidence was not examined. She hinted John Ramsey was the killer because of their interchange when he laid next to his dead little girl and she had the gall to lie on the other side of Jonbenet as if she was a family member. She was a nitwit.
I agree. It was a crime scene whether it was a kidnapping or murder. Why would cops allow their friends into the house and let them send Burke away. They should have all been separated before they could get their stories straight. The cops bungled this and still are. They won’t release DNA samples to labs that know what they are doing.
If you go back to the kid being asked about how he was told she was dead, he mentions his father saying he had found her body in the basement, and then saying that his dad was saying something to himself- which was more information than one would expect from a child with his condition, but it is probably exactly what one should expect from a child with his condition: he knows a lot. He had a lot of confidence saying he did not kill her, and probably learned pretty quickly not to incriminate his parents with anything he says.
52:55 my child is autistic. They smile at the worst times, it’s an awkward reflex they can’t help when in an overwhelmed emotionally or sensory situation. They don’t like to.. they have a lot of themselves basically shut away in those moments.
I pray that none of my spectrum kids ever need to be questioned like Burke would have been. It seems most of these "experts" don't understand how to ask the right questions, or that most ppl on the spectrum don't even know how to be deceptive. Being deceptive takes a lot of social awareness.

If you just had your child kidnapped out of your house, you would NOT leave your remaining children alone sleeping in their bedroom. You'd wake the remaining children up right away and ask them if they saw or heard anything.....and keep those children right next to you. They didn't know if the perp was still in the house hiding. I hear you. Smiling and laughing. People used to think I was so happy when in reality I was constantly anxious and stressed.
I used to react with a smile to certain situations until I noticed the reactions around me. I wasn't happy about what was going on, my smile was a nervous reaction. I learned to change that over time and look concerned instead of nervous smile.

Burke gave it all away in the interview after the event. He uses the term “killed” and is hitting himself over the head with the toy. He had a history of aggression and violence towards JB.

Sending you positive thoughts and prayers xxx

This interview creeped me out. I never paid much attention to Burke before. I always thought the parents were guilty. Thank you for helping me see that you can't always go with your gut reaction. That smile is hard to get around. My immediate reaction to it was Guilty. You guys changed my mind. Thank you for showing me gut reaction isn't enough.
Yes, I made a similar comment to the Panel, as my initial reaction was "why is he smiling at something so horrific?" Now, I realise a smile is so complex, thanks to this analysis 💚🇮🇪
They are very intelligent gents, but it doesn’t mean they never makes mistakes.
Your comments are why autistic people are often misunderstood. I’m glad you’ve changed your opinion.

100%. It would be so much easier to follow.
Agree
Sibling rivalry is a real thing. And it can be very dangerous/fatal if no parent intervenes. Before the murder there were reported incidences of Burke lashing out in physical aggression towards his sister. Also the time of year is significant. His sister was probably lavished with Christmas gifts. He may have felt jealous and angry. Just my theory
Wrong. Patsy did it.

Woooow!
You can’t diagnose people with autism. You aren’t a mental health professional
@@reneehopper9280 just blame it all on autism , cause. " autistic " kids can do nothing wrong .
I totally agree with you.

Beauty pageant participation is a bad idea for young children and even families.
Agreed. Especially if there are other kids in the family as they get shortchanged on time and attention.
I believe him too. This family has had an enormous amount of scrutiny over the past 25 years and heck, they won't know how to act "normal" anymore!
Well said
Thank you!

@@lizj7217do you know that Burke isn’t autistic? You aren’t qualified to diagnose people with anything
I believe too that Burke unintentionally killed her, but I believe Patsy Ramsey covered for him and kept her husband in the dark.
What book is that?
@@agargoyle12345 there were
definitely signs of SA.
And... Maybe he killed her
@@christopherjohnson3520 Maybe? That’s a vague word that would be thrown out of court. Maybe the mother did it. Maybe the bloke next door did it. Maybe the father did it. Maybe...

I was on the fence for a long time and then read the book 'Foreign Faction'. I think it was an accident and cover-up by the family. JMO
@@annabelleroma2336 I can agree with that scenario.
Its really odd that Patsy Ramsey didn't run into Burks room to make sure he was OK and to ask if he heard anything.

That was a heartbreaking interview. He looks like a little boy who needs comforting.
Very heartbreaking what the media has done.

Idk.
I second this!! Do OJ!!
Yes please, I have asked for this a few times I think it would be fascinating. I also think he is just recalling the events
I third this!!!
Yes I have been asking for this same one!
I add my vote to this as well! Thank you gentlemen!

Since so many austic, scatola , and asperger people seem to claim being extraordinary at understanding this family and burke, maybe you should form a team and solve the crime.

That doesn't explain his constant creepy smiling. You only mentioned his hand movements as being normal
But cannot in good conscience admit his smiling is completely creepy and wrong
Doug Stine (Burke’s best friend) was the last person Burke talked to on 12/25, and the Stine’s were the only friends in the neighborhood not invited to the Ramsey’s after the 911 call was made. In the book Listen Carefully, Patsy’s handwriting samples are compared to the fake ransom note, and I’m not a handwriting expert, but her over use of exclamation points and her proper indentations of paragraphs was all I needed to see. It was also proven that Burke could be heard at the end of the 911 call. He was not sleeping the entire time.
I think the Stine kid was also playing doctor with JonBenet. And why weren’t they invited over?
Scott has theee most soothing voice EVER!!!! 💙
For sure!
He’s mine, you can’t have him..
Just kidding! They’re obviously all mine..but I agree with you about Scott’s soothing voice 🙃

Calling "resume statement" as the center bingo square on that analysis.
Oh goodness, that would be interesting for sure! What a wacko. Hiding in plain sight. 😳
@@PanicattheDiscourse Hi, Swedish woman here. I'm good at English but not sure what you said there. 🙂
To the Behavior Panel; Please do a reading on Woody Allen
On a episode that I was watching the mom called 911 and the operator heard that the mom and the brother and dad in the background whispering how is the brother in the bed when you can hear him on the 911 call non thought the operator has hung up.
It came out that the Grand Jury DID want to press charges against Patsy and John when those records were unsealed. Why that was not followed up on, we’ll never know. 🎉🧐🤔 Oh, yeah. Because he’s a rich guy.
Totally. If they were black someone if not all would be in jail! ❤
I act this way when I’m nervous. It’s gotten me into trouble when I am innocent. I’m just extremely shy and awkward. Lol

My brother unintentionally acts guilty around authority. He has been in deep trouble over nothing, just for acting weird and awkward.
I'm completely unemotional when attacked/accused. It comes off as suspicious as well.
Skeleton_w/a_Migraine me too. I get nervous that they think I’m lying or guilty , so I act guilty. Have even started shaking. 😔
That’s okay, Jessbo. You just be you and you’ll do just fine. I promise. 🙂
@@liquidmetal9647 WE commenters diagnosed Burke, not a professional. The public diagnosed him because he is a quiet person, was a quiet kid.
Right. My autistic son wouldn’t hurt a fly.
@@liquidmetal9647 lol
And I'd also claim not to be on the spectrum & I'm teaching my son how to mask & "pretend" he's not autistic & that's a nightmare as it's not natural or easy.
I had a child who smiled the same way when stressed.
Sorry he's creepy.
@@mybb8831 agree
I admire your parenting.
LOL
Agreed
You're right. He sued Dr. Phil and CBS for this hatchet job and won. I'm sad that the panel admires Dr, Phil so much. He's a flim flam man, a fake psychologist who lost his license to practice, and a bully. Burke Ramsey, especially if he's on the spectrum. has had more than enough abuse. I agree with every word you said.
Never rule out sibling jealousy and rivallry
I agree 100%. And the fidgeting is stimming.
@@outofthegutterart5636 It's a combination of genetics and environment, just like everything else.
His guilty knowledge may be of his sister being abused. At age 9 he could have seen something that he didn’t understand and he lacked the maturity to process it. Family secrets may be buried with that unfortunate little girl.
Well written - I agree.

For balance you should analyse John Ramsey.....there is an interview 5 days after murder (where Patsy is heavily sedated)....John Ramsey seems to feign saddness and quickly smile to himself. He is a full on "romancer" in every interview he does. He makes me feel very ill at ease.

Furthermore the dad is successful but the mom still rules the roost so she was probably the aggressor when it came to criticizing their her son and she probably went well beyond what was acceptable.
