I had a dark gray 2007 Altima 2.5 S that I owned for four years, but got rid of it cause it had several problems, mainly the transmission which had to be replaced at 60k miles, besides that though it was a really nice car with attractive styling, a comfortable roomy high quality interior & the 4-cylinder had surprisingly strong power (I originally wanted the V6 but couldn't afford it at the time). It was a huge improvement from my 2006 Toyota Corolla S that it replaced. I eventually replaced it with a brand new 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6, then a used 2017 Lexus IS200t F-Sport, & now a 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport that I just bought last week.
This was a great first car for me. So I have memories of this vehicle. I eventually upgraded to a 2008 Lexus IS250 because I love the looks of that car. Still have that now. I kinda wish I could have somehow kept my Altima yet also still have the Lexus too. That would be nice
I really like Nissan Altimaa. But I feel Nissan should improve on their reliability and durability a bit on their cars and maybe some inifinitis too. but other that that I no problems with Nissan or Infiniti.
Hello! I'm thinking about buying a 2007 Nissan Altima, but am in need of some more info. The current owner told me that she has been having problems with the battery, the car supposedly shuts off after about 10 minutes of driving. I am curious as to wether or not I can fix this myself for cheap, making the car worth the investment.
Sarah Dunkle Stay away from the 2007 Altimas with the CVT transmission. They are extremely unreliable. If you must have an Altima, buy the 2006 which uses a traditional automatic. The 2006 is 10 times more reliable than the 2007.

I've heard that all altimas sounds horrible because of cbt? But that's normal on altimas while running?

@Faba 47 Nope, it's very good on gas. I have the same car except it has a spoiler and it doesn't have a moonroof. I had it for a year and a half.
