What do you think about a 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE Manual Transmission with 245,000 miles for $2,000 ?
It runs good but no ac and has the vsc light coming on and off.
Black leather, 6 disc cd, Bose etc.
    Thank you.
    Anybody knowledgeable please reply soon.

I have one with 170k and it drives really nice, but I live in fear of the CVTdeath. It is also very very complicated car, Ac is not working sometimes and no one can figure out why. Again, it drives really nice. I would not buy it again, I would lease it.

Agreed! I drove a 2007 Altima 2.5 S with the CVT that I bought used back in 2011 & had to have it replaced at one point under warranty with only 54k miles. Got rid of it shortly after that & bought a new 2015 Camry XSE V6 which is a far better car & has been problem free so far as expected.

Been in the car business for a long time, and worked with several mechanics. I've sold many Altimas, and other Nisssan products. From my experience, I've noticed the Sentra, Cube, Versa CVT's don't hold up as well as the Altimas CVT. If you want to buy a Rogue with the CVT, make sure, specially in Florida, that you buy one with a transmission cooler. Some have them, some don't. This was brought to my attention from a Nissan Technician.

"ATV transmission. 😂😂 CTV transmission. 😂😂 I've been selling cars for 15 years. I've put a lot of miles on this car." 😂😂 Although there's a selector there for "manual mode," it's a CVT transmission. That means 1 gear. What are you "shifting" for? 😂😂

    • @pablol4063

@@ssa.alhasan7977 I've never replaced it on the 3.5 mated to the CVT. But, have sold many 2.5L mated to the CVT. I have replaced the filter and CVT trans fluid on the 2.5. It has 2 filters, I replaced both. Some of the mechanics I've spoke with never knew there was 2. The Altima I replaced the filter and fluid from had about 173k miles, and made a little bit of a whining noise, subtle. After replacing both filters and fluid the noise went away. I'll see if I can find the video and put the Iink here.

    • @pablol4063

Yes, there is only one issue that I know of with these cars employed with the 3.5 Liter. I believe it's the external seal on the engine oil cooler, cause the oil to leak. I have a really good and fast mechanic, it took him like 10 minutes to change it. From my understanding Nissan redesigned these seals like 3 times, 3rd time getting it right. Mine never leaked oil after he replaced the seal. Motor is solid though, lots of power!
