Thank you for this, just bc something is hard doesn't mean it's fun or rewarding. Player collision that does damage is just the cherry on top so I'm glad I could just skip this shit and get back to the fun.
The main thing makong this mission bullshit @@RoFKillaBacon Is the game autosaves at the start so you are trapped in that situation without warning. Most missionis if you fail you get asked to try again or refuse, not this one.
Back when I played this in 2003!!! Me and brother could not for the life of us get past this level. It took a friend of mine that played I went to school with who was just a completionist of games to help me get past this part. I had beat Jak 3 before beating this level. Props to you for making it look so easy.

I genuinely think this is how it’s intended to be beaten. Like, it’s more of a platforming challenge than combat, because the enemies endlessly spawn and because you get killed if you fall off the walkways.
Its not. No other level in the game expects you to do jetboard platforming to evade enemies. Plus the walkways on the water are jagged and misshaapen Af and the jet board does really poorly on them
I did that too. Makes this mission so easy to the ones that are mechanically hard, like the stupid race against Erol or the Hellcat Cruisers. Yes I know the Vulcan Barrel makes it easier to kill those things, but limited ammo and guards wanting your ass dead destroying your car doesn't make things easier since you have to constantly go switching cars without getting shot.

I just completed it and tried tue hover board method but i kept falling off so i fought my way through most of it. At the end i used the hover board to jump over them and get to the final checkpoint 😭
Nice. All I do is spam the square button when going through, I get it in like 2 tries. 1 if max health lol. If this or the jetboard weren't a mechanic then yes this would be the hardest mission for me, but because these exist, I can't lol. Fuck the race against Erol though.

This mission is easy in my opinion. The only 3 missions I can't do are "destroy the ship in drill platform", "Onin's game" and "Metalhead mash" Edit:Metalhead mash is easy for me now.
@@stonedsloth1873 Actually the ship on the drill platform mission I only find it infamously hard...in Hero Mode. In the regular mode it ain't that bad in my opinion. Onin's game is fun. The one you press the indicated buttons that appear on screen before the tests of manhood right? I dunno I kinda enjoy it. I'm biased. The Metalhead mash one can be kinda annoying since they turn invisible and it's hard to see them so that one I do kinda get. The ones that piss me off are the race against Erol and the destroy 5 hellcat cruisers. God those missions make me wanna rip my hair out.
Or you could just use the Chad strat and play the intended way with your arsenal, it gives the game a lot more depth and yes it is difficult, but if the whole game was easy, it wouldn't be worth playing would it.
This level was terrible but it wasn't the one I gave up on. The one where you have to save everyone from the prison was where I gave up. Honestly this was a bad game, most of the mechanics didn't function correctly (one of the worst vehicle controls ever) and it wasn't balanced at all (no checkpoints and what's the point of having 8 health points when each hit does 2 damage?).

All I did was punch and jump the entire mission and it worked so easy. I only killed three guards and the lasers weren't able to hit me.

Destroy the ship in the drill platform is what I call the most infamous mission in Jak II, I got past it on my 7th try.

Not gonna lie this mission was a c**t at first but after 10 plus completions and 100 plus tries......it's still not easy 😂😂
