My favourite track from this outstanding album, never got to see them live but saw plenty of other bands when it was the Taunton Caumont, before the Odeon I think?
I think there should be a society/club/group formed for the most underrated album of all time, and the irony it was done in the name of and yet without the sensational Alex Harvey. Oh and you have to have listened to it in your bedroom on extra large black spongey headphones on preferably a Waltham music centre.
As a fan of 'SAHB without Alex' BEFORE Alex---when they were known as Tear Gas--- I bought this album in '77 when it came out and really liked it. Still do decades later. Despite having the same personnel (sans vocalist Davey Batchelor) it is nothing like the heavy and balls-out Tear Gas of seven year years earlier, but brilliant in its own way.
This is a great album, and totally separate from Alex. He was under doctors orders to rest. I saw his set live, and it was awesome. Yes we all hoped Alex would make an appearance but these guys did an awesome job.
I saw them perform this entire album at London's Marquee club in 77. Absolutely blinding performance. tvistur0snerpa's comment is nonsense and should be ignored
Agree... saw them at the Marquee club and they were fantastic! Saw them with Alex at the Taunton Odeon and that was a real highlight!

This album had a real vibe - spacey rock!
For me one of best album of the seventies... could be the third album of Tear Gas with maturity. 💎
