Mason wanted to take a different career move, and we had looked into buying a mobile barista van a few months ago.
After looking we have Made a Purchase, But the hard work is about to start as there are many jobs to do on the van before it is set out on the road.
So follow our coffee journey and see how we get on.

@aaanton11 Hi Ant, I’ve been following your channel for a few months after stumbling upon this first video of you collecting your J9 as I had been looking into french vans myself for a coffee business. When I started watching the video I soon realised that I’d been a customer of Mason’s prior (I live locally in the area) I’ve recently purchased my coffee steed, a 1971 J7 high top which is already kitted out for coffee (it needs some attention to the body work in a few areas) I want to say straight away that I’m not looking to directly compete and obviously will respect your ‘patch’ I just wanted to message you as a coffee enthusiast, Classic ‘J van’ owner and a fellow Lesta’ lad. With so much in common it would be great to stay in touch with you both and share my journey and experiences like you have. I won’t be ready to open my hatch until later this year / early next year as there is much to do. Exciting times though! If you’re ever up for a face to face let me know. Keep up the amazing work with your van / business and also with your videos, you will always have my support 🙂☕️

@@aaanton11 Thanks, not sure I can get that generator in the US. though. I'm trying to do some kind of solar and generator mix so I need a decent battery array.

New subscriber and fan here :) Found this video as I am planning on this venture with my Sherpa van next year. I lived in it for a couple of years and so it already has 520Am of batteries and 500w of solar which is sufficient. I was scared at the start of the video that you were looking to get something that could be trailered and I never understood that.. glad to see you got something you can DRIVE! Thats the beauty of these vehicles and the same with all classic cars. Why rebuild something to an amazing standard only to trailer it to shows and events and never actually drive the thing!?!

nice setup. May I know with 6 batteries how long will it last before recharging? How long it takes to recharge all the batteries?
Depends how busy it is, usually around 4 hours, a full recharge can be done overnight Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Hey we are about to convert a Citroen van to a mobile coffee van. Do you have gas to power your machine or rely on mains electric hook up. Also do you have a water tank just for your coffee or again do you rely on a mains connection to feed water to the machine . Any help appreciated 🙏

Thanks Alan, hope you are well, through uni one of masons jobs was a Barista in a couple of coffee shops where he learnt the trade, he graduated and worked a management graduate scheme at Enterprise rentals where he became assistant manager, but the hours 70+ a week and the stress we decided its not a life to live and lets do something we enjoy!
Mason Loves the 80s (all the grand theft auto) when he was a kid, & I was a 80s kid, so this just perfect, and we are going to stroke that theme.
there's loads to do so enjoy my pain lol, 👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Sounds like a great idea, im sure it will be a big success.Being married to a Colombian I have no option but to love coffee !! Juan Valdez is the one but very expensive & difficult to get here in the UK.
Sounds great! I will try and get my hands on a bag of those beans, we went to the Dominican republic 9 years ago and visited a coffee plantation, where they picked and roasted the beans on site, they were splendid, sweet without sugar, I bet you wife makes a good brew, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Beautiful I bought a 1980 Fleetwood Tioga beautiful old American RV V8 👌 and completely stripped back ready to restore ! That's a beautiful van ! Always love the little codfe vans at shows etc

Mate, Fab new venture you got! I take it those lead cell/AGM Batteries are run off a split charger? I wired my Vivaro 2yrs Ago for camping, wish you all the best Ant.
No Michael, there is no split charger, they need charging over night and a generator backup, I will go into it more in another video, lots to do Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

The coffee Machine pulls nearly 3 kW of power so solar panels wouldn’t be sufficient to make any difference I would need a field full Lol but it would be great if they were more powerful Thanks Andrew for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
