So inspiring!! I am starting my mobile foods trailer this year, I have my first booked event in April!! Wish you guys all the best and loving the day in the life video really helps to imagine when I’m at that point. All the best
Great Video ! My wife is getting ready to do Coffee on 3 Wheels , we call it Val’s Moto Café , will be back to see more great content , another interesting channel is called Tasty Inside that features small Mobil coffee carts in Thailand Thanks ! Keep up the good work. Great fun watching reality TV.
Cute coffee trailer and name. Reminds me of Philippians 3:14. We’ve thought of doing something like this. We’ve lived in an RV for last year & a half, so we’re used to propane and all that & I got a part-time barista job at a local coffee shop 6 mos ago. So at least I have some experience making coffee now.;) Thanks for sharing. Y’all have a beautiful family! Will be showing my hub this.;) 💛☕️
Thank you! That’s actually part of why we chose the name. I bet you would really enjoy the mobile coffee business. You could maybe even tow it with your RV?
Thanks so much! You're sweet. The kids think it's super cool. They want to open their own shops someday. Maybe they'll take over the business when they're older 😏
that’s awesome bro there is nothing better than to be your own boss i was wondering what kind of machine is the one you have the one that trows steam is it expensive?? awesome video bro keep it up
Way to go, Anthony and Rachel! This guy served me my first cup of coffee that we dunked cookies in… back when we were less than 10yrs old. I’m sure Press On does not disappoint!
Very nice! Would you prefer an all in one (perhaps a food truck style setup) or the stand alone trailer you have now? Either way I'm digging this . Thanks for the inspiration. Best of luck. 👍
I do like the simplicity of a drivable set up. It would be nice to just pull up and be ready to go. However, if you have uneven terrain where you are setting up, it might be easier leveling a trailer with jacks vs a truck/van. The biggest downside for a food truck style IMO is the serving window height tends to be much higher. I like to sit as low as possible to my customers. It makes for a more personable experience.
@@PressOnMobileCoffee EXCELLENT... Beautiful font... I used something like this when I did my "Mama's Kitchen" and I thought it was "Umbrella" ... I love this font... Clean and Classy. Thank you for the information.
Great video. I think its a great idea to use a trailer the way you did, everything is already there, cabinets, sink etc. Was there a problem at all getting your business licensed using a trailer or was it smooth sailing?
Thank you! It was smooth sailing really. I would just make sure that you purchase insurance that covers everything inside the trailer in case something happens. The cheapest I could find was a company called Hiscox. Great company.
Great video, we have a coffee van for our daughters in Ireland since 2020, could not believe you have the Fracino machine too, we love ours, its made in UK, how did you end up with it?. Your in USA right?
Yes, we are in the USA. I was actually searching for a machine on eBay and found the seller TheCoffeeGuys.co.uk. They had a Astoria dual fuel machine for sale so I reached out to them. From there I found out they sell Francine. It was a little challenging to get it to the US but worth it! They are beautiful machines!
It honestly wasn’t difficult. Just took patience and time. Most of what I did I learned from TH-cam. A lot of our other videos on here show how we did everything. We also have an ebook on our website.
Thank you! I was only a barista for a Christmas season at Starbucks years ago (not sure that really counts lol). I’ve been drinking coffee and teaching myself about coffee for many years. As for building mobile coffee shops, that began in 2020.
@@PressOnMobileCoffee haha thank you, awesome reason why I am asking is because I would like to open up my own little mobile barista bar, I'm in the security industry however I would like to go on my own cause in security one just doesn't have enough time for your own life and I feel I can make more and go further on my own lol
We use Square. We found the Square stand for the smaller 9.5” iPad on eBay for a really good deal. I don’t connect to paper receipts or my register, I just use a simple cash box and email receipts if requested.
Oh man, that really varies a lot on location. I was outside an antique mall in the very beginning but they didn’t open until 10am so it was hard to catch customers before they opened. I mostly like to do hired events now when I’m not building the trailers.
Hello! We are in Post Falls, Idaho. First step I recommend is to check out your county health department and look for a “mobile food truck guidelines” or something similar. If you call them, they will know what to send you or what site to send you to. That will give you all the codes and regulations for your build. Generally, they will be looking for things like: hot water temp, cold storage temps, water tank size, sinks etc. Idaho is very relaxed with all of this because we are only serving coffee and foods under “Cottage Law” occasionally.
No such thing as a dumb question - It is not. The propane tank just powers the espresso machine (which eliminates about 4k watts). The rest of the appliances (grinder, fridge, lights, pos system, etc) is run on a battery/inverter system.
In the winter we use a portable heater in the trailer. I keep it on overnight and anytime the temps drop below 32 degrees. If I won’t be running the trailer for awhile I will also empty the water tanks and water lines.

That's a safe prediction however I only do 4-6 hour events with high attendee count. It's fair to say I capture at least 10% of attendees. My average transaction is almost always over $6. I generally charge a minimum for an event, meaning if I do a 4 hour event, I will request that I make at least $400.
