Seen panera in a small club in Germany in 93.. front row.. drank a bottle of jack with Val before the gig and hung with guys backstage just me and the guys. They were the most generous down to earth guys ever. Vinnie and dime were the nicest guys ever, jammed with dime on his guitar.. was amazing.. the band were fucking Awsome.. this doesn’t come any where near the band I seen then. Rip dime.. you were a gentleman!!!

Saw them perform on the Farewell Slayer tour. All came out in full force. Ministry and Primus did not disappoint. Phil is there just like 1994. Crazy how time flies. He is still hardcore forever. Pantera made the entire music industry take notice right when Cowboys dropped.

It is really amazing. Just like a weird anomaly. I've had simple songs I've tried to teach people that have played in bands with more technicality and they couldn't pull it off. It was weird. Kind of like this, how just the simplicity is somehow too complicated in an upside down illogical way.

I’ve been to a ton of Pantera shows, although I still haven’t seen Phil & the Illegals. But from what I can tell by watching these “newer” videos, Phil actually sounds great. I mean this guy has been through the ringer, relevant to his health & voice. If he would’ve been taking care of himself & his voice in the early days, who knows what changes that might’ve brought on Pantera’s legacy. But if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t want anything different as far as Pantera’s sound. The only thing I would change, is that Dime & Vinnie would still be with us today. RIP Dime & Vinnie ⚜️

When you set playback speed to 1.25 and start at 0:45, there's a bit of the rush we used to fell back in 90s listening to the album..that strong power metal, man times were something else..
First time I saw Pantera was in 93 playing at the sports arena in East Orlando. I was able to get onto the stage and shake Phil's hand. I looked into the crowd and fell backwards thinking people would catch me. That didn't happen... Everybody got out of the way. Luckily,I went with my cousin Bruce and he was watching me on the stage. He saw everybody move out of the way and he raced over and caught me before I hit the floor. Everyone should take a cousin Bruce type person to a metal show just in case you need backup. By the way, this video really blows... It sounds like a cover band from the state fair after the band ate too many pieces of fried dough. Phil needs to hang it up.
