Fishing for Greenland shark in Skagerrak

In this video I'm out fishing Greenland shark together with Fredrik Tronhuus from Team Colibri. The shark was released after taking some photos and measurements for the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research.

What was the estimated weight of it?

With a length of 180 centimeter the weight was estimated to 62 kilos. A small specimen, probably not very old.

@@TeamKrokodille Ah, good job getting it up! Was sore for like a week after I cought a 10-20 kg stingray. I dont even wanna think about 60 kg

@@tibbeatjshm basically it was 5m 3mm pvc coated wire followed by 10m 1.8mm mono leader. We used 14/0 and 16/0 Owner Super Mutu circle hooks. Tight lines! 🙂
