I showed my husband this video, and he didn't believe the fix was that simple. So he first tested the light pull-cord switch and then the 3 light sockets themselves (requiring 2 hours of disassembly, inspection, and finally the use of a voltmeter-tester, which showed him these were NOT faulty!). Once he'd gone through all that brain damage, he watched this video, and within 10 minutes had 3 light bulbs ON! We have a different model of ceiling fan than Johnny's, so lightly different wiring, and the numbers on the little "regulator" weren't the same as the 1 in the video, but once it was taken out, the light sockets worked again! We are subscribers! BTW, the LED lights we put in the fixture are so low-wattage, about 25 watts total, that there is NO way that we could exceed the 180 watt rating for this fixture.

    Good video - thanks.
I had the same problem with none of the lights working even though the fan worked fine. My fan was an older Hampton Bay model and did not have a current limiter like Johnny's did. It turned out that the problem with my fan was that the pull-switch for the lights had failed. Home Depot sells a couple different generic replacement models for about $5.00.

As i was looking on Amazon for a replacement light kit, i read someone else had the same problem with their hunter fan lights that turned out to be the wattage limiter. Came here to get picture of the offending part. Thanks for the video. 5 minutes and done.

Got the same model and the same problems. All three lights blew out at the same time and the fan still worked. So I followed the same procedures as you did except I left the limiter in and just unplugged the two wires from the limiter and plugged the blue into black and have my lights back. At 1st I thought maybe the light switch on the fan burned out,but glad i youtubed this instead.....easy fix but recommend turning the unit off when you are not home from the main light switch on the wall . As always its best to replace the limiter if you can find it.

I have a old fan (says on it Quorum E81964 HC-1131) which has same problem. -- fan works lights dont. Opened it today but couldnt find the wattage limiter.. The connector inside it is also hard to disconnect. Wish I could load a picture here.. Any feedback is appreciated.
