I got this kit last 2 weeks ago, It sounds really steady and solid for me. I'll may try the other genre which's rock or ballade not only the jazz or blues
I've had an OG 57 Bop kit since about 2012, the Motor City Blue. Love it! It just looks so uniquely cool. I don't even play jazz, bought it for it's compactness and portability. I play rock and some country, and it does not disappoint. The small kick, with some learning on my part, gives a great punchy thump. Good to see them back out there.

The Gretsch Rn2 sounds as good as a Gretsch Usa custom and as good as a Ludwig CLM.
I tried all three with the same tuning (High, medium, fat and low), and I can attest that the sound was almost identical. But i can feel the quality of the Ludwig CLM. But for the price the gretsch Rn2 is unbeatable, well it depends on where you live.
This is not the rn2 models tho.. this kit is rn57 but limited edition
@@svin3367 You are right. But almost same shell.. same hoops... Not die cast hoops... Silver interior...
