As Bayern fan, De Ligt is our best CB, far more consistant than Kim & Upamecano. Not playing him enough was one of Tuchel's worst decisions. Hopefully the club doesnt sell him...

If the new recruitment team have identified him then I'll take him, but if de Ligt is a Ten Hag signing I don't want him. I rate Ten Hag as a coach and I'm glad he stayed but his talent ID is appalling, and other than Martinez, just signing his old players has not worked out.

Y’all all talking about De Ligt being usurped by Kim & Upemacano & Dier when nobody says they also had a coach like Tuchel who lead Bayern to 3rd in the Bundesliga.
For me it was a coach that didn’t know what he was doing as well
De ligt is a decent defender but he hasnt improved on his inadequacies he had as a young defender , He dives in and goes to ground too much , his way of defending 1 2s is really bad and hes not particularly fast, reactive or agile which costs him in the channel but could be the right fit at the right club at the right stage of his career.
He plays a high line, that’s what united need

Only Man United would replace an injury prone CB on massive wages, who played less that 50% of games with a carbon copy who plays less than 50% of games through injury whilst sitting on massive wages.
De Ligt would be a great signing and his and Martinez complement each others game will still have a rubbish back up options if we can still sign Brandthwaite he can play left back and when needed come in at center back then we can sell Lindelof and Maguire and Shaw as his injury prone it’s not worth gambling on him plus Amass is brilliant from the academy and with Evans and Kambwala as the other options at centre back that already would be a massive upgrade to the defence would just be the right back area with Dalot not being good enough but we can’t fix everything in one window unfortunately as the holding midfield is a very important area that needs to be improved asap
De ligt is also very injury prone and has a high salary that's why Bayern is selling him so they can get Tah because his salary will be low and he doesn't get Injured often.
