wow, very 80s colors and approach to scribbles and dripping color. Ah! I feel nostalgic!

Thanks for your comments. I guess I was trying to respond to the colours around me and in a way I could make marks in 3 minutes!

The heather is extraordinary. I can’t believe I have never properly seen it before. I really love the studies, very evocative!

Thanks so much Gilli yes the Heather is amazing. It reminds me of lavender fields and it’s growing habit is somewhat similar . August is the time for it but then it’s gone.

You are welcome Mary - just very simple mark making with constraints - often they prove to be the most useful!

Thank you Trina, I do these thumbnails in a variety of ways. I always find that they are good value in that for just 3 minutes of mark making, there are usually some gems of information amongst them. I am glad that you enjoyed the video.

I love the music of your videos as soon as I here it, I get excited and want to just watch and then get in the creative mood, and have a go, thank you so much for your inspiration, you really don’t know what you’ve done for me, you have helped me when no others would, and although I feel I’ve failed with no support in my art I’ve decided to go back to work. I think il just enjoy my art more that’s if iam not to tired. Thank you Liz xxxxx

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. You have most definitely not failed in your art. You have so much energy and look at different approaches to see what you enjoy -you keep pushing & you sell. That in my book is very far away from failure. Perhaps write in your journal. Why do you think it’s failure? What would make it feel different? Doing different types of work alongside art is something many do; some teach; some do something very different alongside. The artists path is never an easy one! Good luck with it all xxx and make sure you look after yourself

Glad you enjoyed it Leila- the Heather really is spectacular at this time of year. Hard to do it justice but it’s the process of studying it that helps.
