      @PlumbLikeTom mate, sorry to bother you. Today I took apart a drainage system under the kitchen sink and when I put it back together I got one spare part left 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don't understand where it should go.. . If I send you a picture of it, would u be able to give me a clue so I know what to do before my wife finds out I've been messing with the pipes. I was trying to fix the blockage.

      @@PlumbLikeTom I think it's called a pipe snug. Been goggling

      @@nosycatUK You can send me a picture on Instagram if you like, a pipe snug just sits up against the wall to stop drafts, the pipe won't leak with it not fitted and to be honest you rarely see them fitted

    Nice work, Tom. You get up early, my alarm goes off at 7, some days that’s a struggle! But I am a good bit older than you…it gets more tiring the older you get.

      I'm always out the house by 6, I've always been an early riser, when I was at school I used to take delivery of the early morning papers in the newsagents so I had to be there for half 4, then I had two morning rounds and an evening one, 7 days a week, thanks for watching Martin

    Nice neat job Tom. I have never used Press fit and now I’m retired doubt if I will but I can see the advantage of them. Assume you find the cost of them pays for time saved. 👍

      Press is an expensive way of plumbing but it does save the faffing around of soldering on some jobs, it's not hugely quicker but I guess I saved around half an hour on this job by using press, thanks for watching Colin

      @PlumbLikeTom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is an expensive investment, if I only did domestic I probably wouldn't have it, but it does make some jobs quicker and easier, thanks for watching Chris

    Fitting a waste in a sink. Even with the washer which is squashed against the bottom of the sink - this does NOT stop water running down the threads of the waste pipe UNLESS you wrap ptfe round the threads before you tighten it up.
    Not doing this will lead to hours of trying to find the drip so always do it.!!

      Am always watching ur videos and I just wish I could go to work with someone that cares about the job as much as me. Frustrating working with engineers with no shame or any pride in their work. Make my work life hell now, as I’m in my 4th year starting my gas it’s frustrating working with lazy people when you’re trying to kickstart your career

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've not bothered with a roof rack on this van, I do have a smaller pair of steps which were designed to slide next to the racking though so I don't always keep the bigger ones in, thanks for watching 👍
