Driving for 23yrs.. love your video, trucking wasn't my first choice.. was kinda forced into it.. Was in an accident and really had no other choice. The company I am with now. And finding your video,your smile your good looks your engery. I can say I really love what I do.. so thank you for the motivation from you. I am humble and do know I'm blessed.. The 23yrs have been over the road. The local work don't work me.. been to all 48, 13 different countries and one war zone.. had to have back surgery shoulder surgery.. was told I was done. But God had other plans.. you have a friend here.. keep it up.

Out and go to trucking school because the first I was scared to drive semi trucks, but now I see a lot of women doing it and then making a good living from driving trucks. Queen P…..I’m glad you touched on people “rushing” into the owner/operator realm. I’ve had people ask me; “why do you have a three year plan before you become an owner/operator?” Then, I have to explain….it’s not only about purchasing a truck/trailer then hitting the road. You have to fund that operation, first and foremost; that takes $50K plus in my niche. Granted, that number may be different for every owner operator. The point is…that’s the primary killer of owner/ops; lack of sufficient cash….not credit….CASH. You have to understand how National and global economies can affect your trucking niche. For instance; OPEC just cut back oil production. That’s going to cause fuel prices to surge again in the coming weeks/months. Fuel prices have destroyed owner/ops over the past two years. If you’re an aspiring owner/op….you have to step back and understand; maybe now isn’t the time. Lastly, people need to thoroughly understand their market and customer. That takes time….and that’s ok. Anyway, Queen, I’m sure you have your own reasons for taking your time. I’m just happy to hear you’re playing the smart game for the long term. Sorry, I was so long winded….that’s a serious topic that isn’t given it’s due on many popular platforms. Everyone just wants to flex their gross income numbers, which mean nothing. Anyway….I’ll shut up now😂 Great video!!

I’m biased because I’m an engineer for International (Navistar), but Kenworth manufactures some nice trucks. I never had the desire to drive trucks but I like being someone who helps in the manufacturing process. It’s good to see women in trucking, whether behind the wheel or corporate.
Absolutely, allow the process to guide you, do not rush it because that’s when mistakes happen! Keep up the great work, and don’t let anyone tell you different in your process. Best to keep you goals and dreams to yourself so no one can discourage you with their jealousy and envy!

This made me a little at ease watching this I been watching some TH-cam vids n it made me nervous with all the negative vids just seem like ehh am I making the right choice but seeing yo vid kind of eased my mind I’m starting next week going to trucking school
Just my opinion on Texas life, ( been in houston 5 years ) there are decent driving jobs but the better paying ones are usually something specialized, like you mentioned. I do agree that a lot of them want you to have prior experience, however, I’ve been able to land jobs without a lot of experience by applying anyway and then leveraging my skill set. Truth be told most of those jobs will still train you even when it’s not mentioned. Also too, a lot of the better jobs want you to be able to drive manual, which does hold a lot of newer people in the industry back. That being said, I work in the oil field, hauling pneumatic. A big pre-requisite for this job is being able to drive an 18spd. I had only driven a 13spd prior to this job 3 years ago, and I self taught myself from TH-cam, I was only actually taught manual on a 10spd. Same thing with ports. I learned from friends that do it, and the rare times that a company I worked for would send me there, it’s really not a whole lot to the ports and even when it’s a port you haven’t been to, the security people are usually willing to point you in the right direction. If you’re a self learner, a little bit of internet research can get you knowledgeable enough to finesse a port job, if not for a major carrier, a small company will give you a shot.
Yea I noticed the things u mentioned as well. But I’ve literally applied and reached out about having prior experience and all of them told me I ‘had’ to have it. And honestly the manual driving wasn’t an issue it’s really a lot of shitty companies in Texas. It’s definitely alot of companies but they suck. Also, it’s alot of owner operated companies and they did not know what they were doing. As a whole, I was just annoyed overall. It’s great to have your endorsements I just don’t think those should be the only options. The sassiness of the men down there in the trucking business was too much for me as well, you gotta have tough skin to be in this business and they were not displaying that at all.

I just cleaned my first truck I’m solo dedicated to 3 states surrounding Texas. I didn’t want to be picky but I prefer freightliner & was offered international to check out & some how the truck # ended up being to a peterbilt which I thought they only gave to team drivers but hey I can’t be mad at the mf space in here. Can’t wait to get everything to my comfort level & freaking fridge 😫 bc only the new 2023 truck they have, have fridges but I guess as rookie it part of this process. Overall love your video’s definitely keeps me motived and I get a lot of gems about the business. Thanks also if anybody knows where to get a fridge for a 2022 peterbilt 579 please reply 🤞🏾

As you know I'm new to trucking, came out of school in March and I love to back also BUT some days I nail my backing and some days when its tight I have problems! lol! What advice can you give me for tight backing? You had me crackin up with the Target shopping and how its so nice and quiet lol! Oh and one more thing, get all your endorsements. Whether you use them endorsements or not is irrelevant. Them endorsements is job security no matter where you live in the US. Just get them. I’m a convicted felon and I have all my endorsements. Houston, is over rated. Michigan is a part of the Midwest, I haul Reefer and I’m going to be in Michigan for the next 6 months from AZ (Nogales). I live in Phoenix. And them routes to Michigan is gonna pay me $2,600 per week so don’t feel bad working in Michigan. Lol.

Heeeey Quenn P! As usual I love, love, love the trucking videos. Sorry such a late response I'm back trucking just rolled from Nevada to Texas, been busy. As you know I'm new to trucking, came out of school in March and I love to back also BUT some days I nail my backing and some days when its tight I have problems! lol! What advice can you give me for tight backing? You had me crackin up with the Target shopping and how its so nice and quiet lol! Yes you hit right on the nose, don't come in there acting all loud in Target lol! Girl you are always saying stuff that I be thinking, I think that's why I can vibe with your videos. This is my first video that I've watched of yours, but WOW. You really look happy and enjoy trucking. I love it. I wish more women were in the trucking industry. Just make sure you make trucking your true love and besides god and your family (to a certain extent) don’t put no one above it.
Just please please don’t do what these other pretty truckers be doing and start showing skin just for views. You know what I mean lol. I’m a subscriber. Oh and one more thing, get all your endorsements. Whether you use them endorsements or not is irrelevant. Them endorsements is job security no matter where you live in the US. Just get them. I’m a convicted felon and I have all my endorsements.
Houston, is over rated. Michigan is a part of the Midwest, I haul Reefer and I’m going to be in Michigan for the next 6 months from AZ (Nogales). I live in Phoenix. And them routes to Michigan is gonna pay me $2,600 per week so don’t feel bad working in Michigan. Lol.
