    You explain the triangular edge so well and it’s so easy to follow. I was reluctant to try making a baby blanket, because I didn’t like the “unfinished look”. THANK YOU so much.

    You did a really nice job explaining that you are "filling in" & "decreasing" your row to complete your edging AND going over the top of the next block, etc.. I find that many tutorials do not give full complete explanations as to what is being achieved in the pattern as you are working them or that they show you the back side/reverse side. When I am learning a new technique I find this is very helpful for me to understand what I need to do. A BIG THANK YOU! I am starting my first entrelac Tunisian placemat. Yeah for me.

    Hi Tilley. I’m on my 4th baby blanket using your pattern! This is the easiest pattern to follow thanks to you and your video. After this pink one, I’m making 2 more for twins (my son’s high school friend is having twins). These are perfect for newborn blankets.
    Thank you again for sharing your video. I refer back to it often to make sure I’m doing it right. Take care. Karen

    Very great and easy to follow video tutorials thank you.
    As I haven't made a blanket yet, I'm curious about the curling in your sample piece.
    Will a blanket keep curling or is it doing that because it's small?

    • @TillyDouglas
      @TillyDouglas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amy, I'm so pleased my videos were helpful for you! The curling up is normal for this stitch, even when making a blanket, but it does straighten out. as you progress with the piece. 🌹

    I am completely confused on how you got so many staggered edges on your Entrelac piece. When I do entrelac, the only staggered edge is on the diagonal as I'm working. The bottom edge and left edge are completely straight. Once I get the piece the width I want, I only start the next "row" of entrelac on the top of the last square on the bottom right, and keep doing that until there's only one square left at the top right of the blanket. Then all four sides are already straight without any need for "half" squares. But this tutorial will definitely come in handy if I want to do a triangular piece like a shawl or something. It was very easy to follow what you did! Thank you!

    • @TillyDouglas
      @TillyDouglas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Amy, the way I do it doesn't turn it into a triangle, but it dos give the zigzag edges... I also have a video that shows how to finish off the outside edges to make a border. But there are many ways to do Entrelac, and this is obviously just one of them.

    • @TillyDouglas
      @TillyDouglas  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kim, for this baby blanket in the video, I did a chain of 100 to start ... But it would depend on what yarn you are using and and what finished size you would want. I wrote a blog post which you can read to give you more of an idea on how to work out your sizing ... You can find that here bit.ly/2z12ndy
